Alvin Ailey Dance Theater Tickets

Amazing performance! Music, costumes and choreography were all beautiful.

Having seen the Alvin Ailey American Dance theater previously, I was a bit disappointed with the format. The three intermissions were long and distracted from the overall experience. Also, the middle act was noticeably weak compared to the other acts which were wonderful.

I love the Ailey company. Their isolations are precise, their lines are amazing, and their extensions are outta this world love them!

drove from lake charles...would go again tonight if there was another profromance...told all my friends if this show come to town dont miss it... the dancers are so friendly and down to earth ,my kind of people...the equipment handlers friendly...what a team...no wonder they are so successful...A+ A+ A+

The opening act entitled "Hymn" was not to my liking, but the dancers were phenomenal! The tribute to Otis Redding was exceptional! And who can forget "Revelations"... INSPIRING!

I enjoy the show very much as did my husband and that is saying a lot. I plan on seeing it again. I just thought is was fantastic!!!!

Took my girlfriend to see this great show. It was worth the 1.5 hr trip to montgomery, al to see it. We are students a the University of Alabama - ROLL TIDE FOOTBALL CHAMPS! lol... She's a dance major and she loved every second of it. I reall enjoyed myself as well... I would watch again and so would she. Glad we went it made her bday even better!

Great!!!!! Best dancers ever!!!!!! The show from start to end was uplifting. It showed that black people still can do any and everything. The art of dance is Like no other. I was so proud to see families bringing their kids to see the show.

I had never been to a play put on by Alvin Ailey, but I had heard nothing but good things about it. I have to admit I did not care for the first two performances. My favoirte was the tribute to Otis Redding and Revelations. Apparently, revelations is their closing act on all of their performances, but...I still loved it. I downladed some of their songs from Revelations off of Itunes...I love gospel anyway, but I just loved how they performed to the gospel songs. It was a real nice experience. My seats weren't awesome because there was this annoying bar in the way...I sat in the balcony...but this performance was awesome..I would recommend it to anyone.

As always, Ailey never disappoints!! I attempt to catch a show every year, no matter the location!! I was pleased to see the new additions to their repertoire. I love "Sweet Otis" and of course, "Revelations". My concerns have nothing to do with the show but the arena where it was held. I am unimpressed with the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. The stage has awful blindspots. There were individuals sitting in my row (3rd row, stage right) that could not see the performers if they went to certain parts of the stage. For such a self-proclaimed "state-of-the-art" facility, I was disappointed.

As the curtain went up for the first time that night, I felt like a kid all over again. There was a fantasy on stage. There were beautiful stage effects that drew you in as though you were looking into a new world rather than just onstage. The music flowed around the theater, and the dancers.....With amazing movements and a way of pulling you into their story,......they captivated me. It was the first time I have seen them live, and i just want to go again and again. If you get the chance, please attend.

It was just amazing to see these bodies move in so many ways. I absolutely loved it!!!!!

I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to witness this dance troupe since I have always wanted to dance with this company. The dances and the techniques were choreographed very well. I can't wait until you all return to Montgomery, AL, But hopefully you will make Dothan, AL a selection on your next tour.

Absolutely spectacular performances, a must see event!!!!

The parking was horribleand the traffic was extremely horrible, but watching the performances made it all worth while. The dancers were amazing and so bautiful and I'm glad that I had a chance to experience it. I would recommend this show to any person that is breathing!! Just amazing!!

It was the best !! Absolutely great I really enjoyed myself from beginning to end. I have been waiting to see them for many years and it was worth the wait I was not disappointed !!!

This was my first Alvin Aileys' experience I would definately go to see it again. I even learned something, excellent , alson in time for Black history month.

I went out to the lobby during intermission in a happy daze and saw a couple of people I knew; they asked how I liked the show so far and I found I couldn't find words to describe it and told them so. They liked that because I guess they couldn't either. Then, up came the word, "Transported!!!," spoken in a loud voice I hardly recognized as my own. They said, yes, perfect, that was just right word. By the end of the show, I was still transported, but much higher and much wider.

I was so excited to see this group in person. I had grown up hearing about this dance company for years and how amazing they were. I was glad to get a chance to see it for myself. I loved every moment of it. I was sad when it was over.
