ALLAH-LAS IN CONCERT:

Allah-Las could be straight out of the surf rock era of the '60s with their dreamy guitars and chilled-out vocals. Whether they're enjoying a cold one on stage or rotating between different instruments, Allah-Las know how to get fans pumped up during their live shows. A hot new act who's making major strides in the indie rock scene, the four-piece treats fans to high-energy performances full of instrumental breakdowns, incredible musicianship, and timeless surf tunes.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

When members of Allah-Las met in 2008 during their days working at the famed Los Angeles record store Amoeba Music, they knew they had a strong musical connection and decided to form a band. Drawing comparisons to '60s English rockers the Kinks and the Zombies, the outfit incorporates instrumental jam sessions and otherworldly guitar riffs into their unique sound, simultaneously paying homage to surf music from the '60s. With the release of several singles including 2011's "Catamaran/Long Journey" and 2012's "Tell Me (What's On Your Mind)/Sacred Sands" came widespread attention from critics, who praised the band for their throwback sound. Allah-Las debuted their self-titled LP in late 2012, winning over thousands of fans with tours throughout Europe, the UK, and the eastern United States. Known for their blissful live performances, Allah-Las wow ticket buyers at home and abroad every time they take the stage.

  • Great show by a COOL band!

by I Love LA on 10/4/24The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show by one of the coolest bands around. Super chill vibes just flow through the room when these dudes are on stage. Their dreamy, timeless music is almost hypnotic in its ability to ignite the imagination and take you somewhere else. They represent everything I loved about 60s beach rock, but with a contemporary twist that is so much fun. Everyone should see the Allah-Las live!

by It was okay, nothing spectacular on 12/14/19The Fillmore - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

I expected it to be less boring live lol it was super mellow, almost fell asleep. I left a few minutes early

  • Awesome show in Berkeley

by BlimpLimp on 4/26/17UC Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

They performed on Memorial Glade at UC Berkeley for Cal Day. Long 1 hour+ set, played most of their songs. They sound great live. They even included a Berkeley local in their show. Miles and other band members interacted with fans after the show, chatting and signing posters. Miles seemed truly humbled by the number of fans that showed up - kept thanking the audience and making self deprecating comments. I will definitely watch them live again.

  • Allah-Las delivered.

by Doodlikesmusic on 3/16/17The Record Bar - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I didn't have too high of expectations for this concert, however the show was amazing. The band that opened, The Babe Rainbow, was equally great. The bands interacted with the audience and were trading off instruments. Great show! Allah-Las came back out for an encore as well.

  • Miles is incredible

    by Lauren33333 on 9/21/16Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This venue in Brighton is small and intimate, so it was perfect for the Allah-las. They are amazing live. Definitely a good time, everyone swaying and dancing to their music. Miles absolutely killed it. He has a cool, calm, but sexy persona that made the show feel personal somehow. If you get a chance to see them, do it.
