    Fantastic program & dancers

by Raechel on 5/9/24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The program captured and kept your attention in every way, the choreography, music, lighting, as well as the skill and stamina of the dancers. So glad I made a 3 hour trip to see it.

    Pure emotion

by Mrs. Theroux on 5/7/24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

My husband and I brought our 11 year old and we experienced every note through him. First with Der Wolf, Felix was transfixed. He was shaking, he was hiding from the wolf, laughing with the trees, the music, the set design the dancing, the drama, he was sweating and we have never experienced ballet the way we did with him that day. Next, the Rite of Spring, we have been putting him to sleep listening to that record since he was small, the abstract nature and intensity of this piece lulled him into a mesmerized trance. Thank you. It was the final night of the show and the only thing we worried about was more people weren’t able to take part. If we could make these experiences more available to students our city would grow into a more creative space to live.

    Creativity at its best

by Julia on 5/7/24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This double bill delights the eyes, ears and mind. From ballerina “trees” dancing to the beat of K.D. Lang to exquisite precision in Rite of Spring, Alberta Ballet shines bright. What a treat!

    Another great night out

by Adam Frisch on 5/5/24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I am always in awe at the end of the night when I have watched the professionalism and artistry of the ballet company. Der Wolf and Rite of Spring was one of those nights where I wasn't sure what to expect and that is exactly what was delivered; the unexpected. Der Wolf was really showed how well dancers can deliver the same story three different ways and each was entertaining. The Rite of Spring was powerful with an ending that was really unexpected. I always go on opening night and I'm in the front, so I can see the effort put into each step. There were a few instances where I noticed a dancer was a bit out of step with the others and it did have a ripple effect on the dancers behind her. But I guess when everything else is so well done, a little thing can become noticeable. I'm happy to have seen the entire season this year and really looking forward to the upcoming season, which looks to be another great year of dance for Calgary. Thank you Alberta Ballet for a fun year!

    Amazing show

by Maria on 3/28/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I really liked the show, it was amazing. Colors, good decorations, music and general atmosphere were just stunning. I don't know a lot about ballet and I thought I wouldn't understand a lot of things, but it was really worth to go. Will definitely go again :))

Hansel & Gretel was my birthday gift to my granddaughter as I had a tradition of taking my daughter to the ballet since she was a little girl. This turned out to be an amazing show! Perhaps one of the best I have ever seen. Production was spectacular & I am so happy that this was my granddaughter's first show as it will be a favorite memory for the 3 of us for years to come! Great job Alberta Ballet!

    Threw Her Eyes

by Nana Jane on 3/13/24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Our 10 year old granddaughter is a dancer. This was her first ballet concert, she was so excited!! It was wonderful to watch the performance while watching her. I will never forget it.XO The young dancers in the lobby were wonderful and very kind, as were the ladies at the gift table. Look forward to going again.
