Alanis Morissette established herself as the foremost female singer-songwriter of the 1990s with her 16-time platinum-certified third album Jagged Little Pill, released in 1995. The Ottawa, Ontario native had already released her 1991 debut Alanis and 1992’s Now Is the Time before graduating high school and moving to Los Angeles, where Morrisette began to develop Jagged Little Pill. After its release, Jagged Little Pill gained steam behind singles like “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” “Ironic” and “You Learn,” propelling the album to Morissette’s first of three consecutive No. 1s on the Billboard 200. At the 1996 Grammys, she claimed four trophies including Album of the Year, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for “You Oughta Know.” The album has sold more than 33 million copies worldwide, and remains one of the all-time best-selling albums in the U.S. 1998’s Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie and 2002’s Under Swept Rug followed, led by singles like “Thank U” and “Hands Clean.” In 2018, Morissette debuted the musical Jagged Little Pill, which reimagines her catalog while adding several new, original compositions, and the production moved to Broadway a year later — landing 15 Tony nominations and two wins as well as a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. Morisette then released her ninth and tenth studio albums, 2020’s Such Pretty Forks in the Road and 2022’s The Storm Before the Calm.

Great concert- Alanis and her band were fabulous- really enjoyed the experience!
Alanis has not lost an ounce of energy! Her stage presence is just as it was 20 years ago! Vocally she’s just as amazing as she was years ago! It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. She truly is a legend and an icon. 5 stars isn’t enough!
Alanis Morissette’s concert at Prudential Center was an Amazing experience! I didn’t wait for too long to get in to the venue at all. Prudential team was very helpful and Alanis was impeccable!
Alanis put on a fantastic show and sounded just as great as she did 25 years ago! My only complaint was if watching on the screens, it was on a delay that made the song not match up with her singing! Annoying but obviously not a dealbreaker.
Great concert!! She is an amazing performer!! Love it!!
Great show and stage presence from start to finish. Alanis is the best female rock star ever and the fans sang every word of every song. Woman next me was crying because it was her first time seeing her perform live and how amazing Alanis sounds. Also met fans who traveled all the way from Finland to see the show at the Prudential Center in Newark. I will definitely attend any other Alanis concert in the tri-state area again!
Parking is a nightmare at the Prudential Center and the acoustics are always off. I avoid this venue most of the time.
So so happy I finally got to see Alanis live. She was absolutely everything and her/her harmonica slayed my life
The concert was amazing. Took me right back to the 90’s. She still sounds amazing!!!
This was my first time seeing Alanis and I loved every minute! She is such a talented singer/songwriter with tremendous passion and energy. My seats were fantastic and the venue is wonderful.
Alanis has an amazing voice live, the band did great, and the sound crew did phenominal, however Alanis herself has a terrible stage presence. Honestly one of the most boring concerts that i have been too.
My top two favorite artists are (obviously) from the 90s, Alanis and Tori Amos. I had seen Tori twice before, but I never caught Alanis near me sadly. Thankfully I did this time! Everything about her performance was amazing. Her voice is as strong as ever, which is very unusual these days to witness live. I felt like I actually got to go back to the 90s and see her when she first did shows. I knew it was the JLP tour still, but we did get a few extra songs! I was hoping (haha) that she would do some from her 2nd album, but she did Still and That I Would Be Good, so I was fine with that. Maybe in get coming years she’ll give The Collection some love and do a tour for all her albums (a few songs fun each?). The only problem I had was the high prices of the venue, but that’s not her fault. Thankfully I got to park for free, so that helped a lot. I even was behind her tour bus by the time I left (that driver was booking it!) when headed back toward Nashville (or north). I highly recommend seeing her if you get the chance!
Great show! Felt like it was 1996 and I was a teenager again.
It was simply AWESOME! I am almost 50 and have attended many concerts over my life, and this was by far the BEST! I was blown away by her vocals which were just as good or better than when she was in her prime!
Alanis was everything! She sounded amazing! Sang all the favs! I am so glad I got to see her!
Always get parking when buying your tickets.. easy to park, and had the best time.. Alanis was Great.. hoping we can catch her many more times.. the venue was great, and the people working there were awsome..
The BEST! It was everything that I hoped it would be! Her energy was insane! All over the stage belting out the classics!
I was really shocked this was not sold out. But I surprised the wife with these tickets. The weather was perfect, opening act sounded great and started on time. Alanis came out as scheduled and she sounds virtually the same as she did in the 90s. She was energetic and definitely puts on a good show.
This was the best concert my husband and I have been to. Alanis can still sing! And she sounded great. The vocals weren't drowned out by the instruments, and it wasn't blaring so loud that we couldn't hear. She brought energy and feeling to her music like always. So glad we made the two-hour trip down to see her. She is my favorite musician, and she is my age and still winning young women over. So thankful for the time she gave her fans.
I've always wanted to see Alanis, and really enjoyed her performance. She sang all the songs I was hoping for. However, i was pretty disappointed because she started late and the show ended much quicker than I expected. The crowd also didn't seem the liveliest, but I was really into it. Great show overall!
