With their 40th anniversary at hand in 2013, legendary country band Alabama embarked on their first tour in more than a decade and released an officially endorsed tribute album titled "Alabama and Friends." The album features current country stars covering some of Alabama's country-rock classics -- including Kenny Chesney on "Lady Down on Love," Jason Aldean on "Tennessee River," Luke Bryan on "Love in the First Degree," and the Eli Young Band on "The Closer You Get" -- along with two new Alabama songs. It was a fitting tribute for the most successful band in country music history, which logged 34 singles that topped Billboard's country singles chart between 1980 and 2011 and has sold more than 75 million albums. The band's core remains the same as when it was founded in 1969, when they were known as Wildcountry: Randy Owen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), his cousin Teddy Gentry (bass), and another cousin, Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, fiddle). By 1973, the trio had decided to pursue music full time and they signed their first record deal -- and changed their name to The Alabama Band at the label's request -- in 1977. By the '80s, the band had hit its stride, moving huge numbers of concert tickets and filling their trophy cases with multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM awards.

This was so much fun. Not only was it cool because it was being televised, but you got to see all these wonderful stars and her some of the favorite songs. The highlight was Toby Keith singing Red Solo Cup
This was a fun, star filled event. It was a lot of fun to be a part of a live event. We saw a lot of acts perform for 1 low ticket price.
The show was very good! They did a great job with the co-hosts, they were exceptionally funny and kept you guessing at what they were going to pull next! There was a surprisingly wide range of presenters. The entertainers sounded great and the lighting was amazing! Loved Blake Shelton, Pistol Annies, and Jason Aldean. However, it would have been nice to hear some of the bigger, more popular singers. But overall, we really enjoyed the show...and ended up singing "Red Solo Cup" the rest of our trip in Vegas!! :)
I loved the show, I was up on the 200 level and the seats were stil great, The acts were awesome, it was a fun night.
The ACA awards was great just wish it had last longer!
The ending of the show was just outstanding.....Trace was his great, but his co-host didn't seem to fit in....I appreciated the cues on cutting to commercials, etc. But I didn't like getting stopped after getting a beer and going to the bathroom until the next commerical. Dammit, I missed Miranda.
Enjoyed the show and the entire ACA experience. I suggest a few performances pre or post show taping for all us country fans still in the stands.
Loved It !!! Felt like we were at several concerts and saw our favorites.
I hope to go every year from this time on! All the Artist were AMAZING! Every seat @ the MGM were good ones!
great show very relaxed...Hosts were very funny and the line up of having the winners sing before they got there awards was a great idea.....
Everything from the performances, presenters to the lighting and the stage were amazing! An unforgettable, Fantastic event!
Only wished I had learned of it sooner so I could have got better seats. Next year. Loved seeing Trace host.
Great seats for last minute planning. Overall great show.
I wish more of the Country stars would have shown up. Apparently the winners knew in advance and that's why they showed, however, it was an AWESOME EVENT, and had a great time.
AWESOME..This was a great show all the way through.
The band Alabama proves once again that they have what it takes to put on a good show. The could run circles around much younger performers.
As soon as I saw Alabama was actually performing I got tickets as quick as I could. It was great to see them on stage again. My wife and I had not seen them since their "Farewell" tour in 2003. Almost the the entire audience sang along.
Alabama was amazing! It was so great to finally hear all of their wonderful songs live. It was so nice of them to throw this benefit concert for everyone who was affected by the 4/27 tornados here in Tuscaloosa and the rest of AL. They made sure to thank everyone for their support and praised the people of AL for working together and standing strong. It was a great night!
Group hasn't been together in 10 years and played just like it was yesterday. Sounded great and really poured their hearts into it!
