With their 40th anniversary at hand in 2013, legendary country band Alabama embarked on their first tour in more than a decade and released an officially endorsed tribute album titled "Alabama and Friends." The album features current country stars covering some of Alabama's country-rock classics -- including Kenny Chesney on "Lady Down on Love," Jason Aldean on "Tennessee River," Luke Bryan on "Love in the First Degree," and the Eli Young Band on "The Closer You Get" -- along with two new Alabama songs. It was a fitting tribute for the most successful band in country music history, which logged 34 singles that topped Billboard's country singles chart between 1980 and 2011 and has sold more than 75 million albums. The band's core remains the same as when it was founded in 1969, when they were known as Wildcountry: Randy Owen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), his cousin Teddy Gentry (bass), and another cousin, Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, fiddle). By 1973, the trio had decided to pursue music full time and they signed their first record deal -- and changed their name to The Alabama Band at the label's request -- in 1977. By the '80s, the band had hit its stride, moving huge numbers of concert tickets and filling their trophy cases with multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM awards.

Great concert. Good to hear the old favorites. Was sad that they didn't play "I'm in a hurry to get things done".
Alabama was wonderful. I was a little disappointed they didnt play their best song, "Old Flame!" I also would have liked it if they had big screens to watch fir close-up views. Overall, it was a great show.
In the 80's, I saw Alabama every time they came to South Florida. It's been a LONG time since I've seen them, but they still rock the house!!! Randy's voice is still amazing, and he, Jeff, and Teddy are still amazing musicians. The only disappointing thing about the concert was that I wish it had been longer...there were some songs I wanted to hear that they didn't do.
Alabama still has it. The show started on time and continued with non stop memories from the last 40 years. Their performance was just as good as it ever was and maybe even better because they sang with confidence knowing they were among friends.
Played all their hits and put on a great show. Would of preferred a little more follow up from the group on whats been going on with the group all these years
They payed for 1.5 hours. Came back for 1 song and left stage. Way to short
The Alabama show was great. This was the first time that I had seen Alabama live but I keep my Alabama CDs playing in my Yukon as I drive around Miami or anywhere on the road. In fact, I enjoy Alabama more than either local or satellite radio. The band had traveled over 11 hours to be there but worked hard to put on a great performance. The crowd only had to came from Dade and Broward Counties but were late in arriving and seemed to just want to sit there and listen. After some coaxing, Alabama had them clapping and shouting out the words to the songs. I used to take my family to the North Carolina mountains every year and we listened to Alabama CDs as we drove up those curved roads. Their performance brought back a lot of memories for me. I could see my family shouting out the words as we headed up the mountains. I was a little disappointed that they did not play 18 Wheeler or 40 Hour Week which are a couple of my favorites but I got over that with other songs that they sang. Why can I not buy seats on the left side of the auditorium? Why are those seats reserved for others that don't show up? Is it possible to buy those seats or trade up for better seats is these reserved seats are not filled?
Alabama has still got the energy and talent to make them one of the best country groups of all times. My wife and I third row seats and met the group afterwards. This was an awesome show!
To probably see Alabama live for the last time was emotionally satisfying....but in light of the cost (particularly compared to other artists) and the amount of material that have in their portfolio, I was somewhat disappointed in the length of their show. If an intermission was necessary for more music.....so be it. But......barely, if even 2 hours, made me feel that we didn't get our $180 per seat value..........My heart will still always be with the music! Roll On Alabama!!
Lots of fun and great memories from the songs. These guys can still sing great ! Greatly appreciated them coming down here to sing for us. Thank you.
The Alabama Concert was Awesome!!! So thankful to get to see them before the retired... They sounded just like they do on the radio. Best concert ever..... :-)
AWESOME show - this group has not lost anything in the aging process. They sang hit after hit nonstop and had terrific audience interaction. LOVED Alabama from start to finish and so wished I had seen them in our younger years.
They have not changed in 40 years. Enjoyed every minute of concert. Was delighted there was not an opening act, just Alabama.
Even though the amp is an outside event, I would thought there would be high fans for some air circulation.
Saw Alabama in the eightys and I love their music.
Alabama hasn't lost it, they were perfect. Played all great songs, Drove all the way from Charleston, SC to see them. I would Recommend this concert to everyone!
Gracious southern gentlemen with a God given gift that was our blessing to share in with hundreds of ecstatic followers. It seemed all knew every word to every song. It was quite a night! St. Augustine's Amphitheater made the evening much more personal & enjoyable.
Alabama was as exciting as ever! Worth every penny!
Great concert by longstanding country band "ALABAMA". Couldn't have asked for a better departing concert. Gracious to the fans and all the support they provided the band over the last 40 years. Pit seats were nice but they need to be spread out a little better. Unfortunately, broad shouldered gentlemen like myself are not the best body styles for this setup. Maybe separate the chairs approximately 3-4 inches apart vice placing them together. Additionally, there was no ventilation (i.e. fans blowing) in the pit area to at least keep the soaring sun and temperature bearable.
