About

After an eight-year absence, Alabama Shakes are poised to make their return announcing a 2025 Tour across the U.S. The Athens, AL-raised band, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, and bassist Zac Cockrell exploded onto the scene in 2012 with their debut album Boys & Girls, (ATO Records), which entered Billboard's Independent Albums chart at No. 1. Boys & Girls earned the band multiple GRAMMY nominations and was hailed as one of the year's best albums by numerous publications, including Rolling Stone, which also named lead single "Hold On" the #1 Best Song of 2012. Soon after its release, the bandmates found themselves thrust into the global spotlight, achieving such milestones as performing at the White House and on "Saturday Night Live."

The band's legacy continued to grow with the groundbreaking Sound & Color (ATO Records). Released 10 years ago, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The first single, "Don't Wanna Fight," took honors in the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories. Sound & Color marked a profound evolution from Alabama Shakes' debut album, as The New York Times Magazine observed, heralding the band's "soul-stirring, shape-shifting new sound." Both Sound & Color and Boys & Girls were certified Platinum by the RIAA.

The Shakes' Cockrell, Fogg, & Howard have also reunited in the studio promising new music to fans who have been eagerly awaiting their return.

  • Great show, glad we went

by Nick on 9/11/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time in the 2nd row for the show. Venue was great, security was excellent without being overbearing. The sound was pretty good without being too loud, and the staff were top-notch and fun. The bands were enthusiastic and the talent was appreciated.

  • Extraordinary performance!

by Yo Adrin on 9/10/25Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester HillsRating: 5 out of 5

The Alabama Shakes were as fabulous as expected! The show was approximately 2 hours, with a 2 song encore! I would definitely see them again! However, I did purchase the Sundeck package, costing 100$ for myself and my guest. I understood us to get 2 drinks each, and 1 appetizer each with this upgrade. We received 1 drink each and 1 app. Unfortunately I am no longer able to see those upgrade details, but the cost of the items we received would be less than 50$, per the menu. So, this upgrade isn’t worth the cost, in my experience. I did purchase the premier parking, which was 100% worth it! I would go to this venue again!

  • Great show traffic control was horrible!!!

by Ree on 9/9/25Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester HillsRating: 3 out of 5

Took 1 1/2 hours to get into the venue from University. Missed the opening act. There should be some control. Left before the end so that we wouldn’t be stuck for hours trying to get out of the parking lot.

  • A Funky , Groovy Night

by Shakin' With Bahamas (And) Mama on 9/9/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Soulful show It felt like I was listening to Curtis Mayfield or some artist of that ilk. Both sets were full of groove and even some tight funky breaks, Great show!

  • Awesome

I didn't think I'd get to see them tour but I'm so happy I did!! Band was so tight, Brittany was AMAZING. Great vibes

Outstanding venue, and unbievable show by Alabama Shakes and Bahamas! Lakehouse is a must if you have the opportunity!

  • I love music

  • Bahamas/Alabama Shakes

by Joaner on 9/9/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The bands were very talented although it is an odd match up of genres. Sound could have been better - a bit heavy on the bass. Great venue.

  • amazing

by Shake'em up on 9/9/25Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester HillsRating: 5 out of 5

I thought I missed my window to see them live but am I glad they got back together again. Amazing show. Brittany was a force. The band was tight. The crowd was into it from the opening note. Can't wait for them to come back.

  • Great show

Brittney and co give you a show to remember! She hits the notes just right and her range is insane.

  • Great show

This was a great show. Venue leaves a lot to be desired.

  • AMAZING Band - where were the video screen though?

by Nat on 9/8/25Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester HillsRating: 3 out of 5

We had a fantastic time - how could you not with such an amazing band! I was a little bummed that we didn't have monitors in the lawn so we could see closeup. Also didn't love that they stopped selling beer at 10.

  • We came all the way from Dayton, OH

by Spectator in Enemy territory on 9/8/25Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester HillsRating: 5 out of 5

The whole night was simply amazing. The Alabama Shakes put on an outstanding show! I’m so happy we made the trip, it was our first time at this venue also. The weather was perfect, the crowd was engaged and fully supportive of both the opening act and AS. I would highly recommend catching a future AS show and will attempt to see them again if they are within striking distance from dayton.

  • Great Show!

by Ken Limnac on 9/8/25Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester HillsRating: 5 out of 5

So excited to see these guys touring again! After they split, I was bummed that I had missed my chance, but this was a great show, the new stuff sounds great, and the old stuff was everything I hoped that it would be!

  • I left after a half hour.

by Jackie D on 9/8/25Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester HillsRating: 1 out of 5

It became clear that the sound was not going to be corrected. The bass was an assault on my whole body. Earplugs made it worse. I was looking forward to seeing them again. A waste.

  • Great Show

by DanS on 9/1/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

Alabama Shakes were AWESOME, and Brittany Howard is a force in the universe! The band's new material is great, and the plating was superb. I could have done without the opening act, Shannon and the Clams. Their reverb was turned up really high in an effort to hide the out of tune vocals, which was unsuccessful. Apparently they are very popular, just not my preference.

  • Overpriced food and drinks

by Gdiz on 8/27/25Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre - West Valley CityRating: 3 out of 5

How you gonna charge $22 for a beer? Everything keeps being catered towards VIP and spending more money, pricing regular Joes out of having a good time.

  • Brittney is the queen

by AJ on 8/25/25Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre - West Valley CityRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show! The venue isn't my favorite, so I'll only go if I really love an artist. Alabama Shakes is someone I'll go see there!

  • Alabama Shakes was a great show

Would see this band anytime. Even better than expected!

  • Best in live experience of the last 10 years.
