About

After an eight-year absence, Alabama Shakes are poised to make their return announcing a 2025 Tour across the U.S. The Athens, AL-raised band, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, and bassist Zac Cockrell exploded onto the scene in 2012 with their debut album Boys & Girls, (ATO Records), which entered Billboard's Independent Albums chart at No. 1. Boys & Girls earned the band multiple GRAMMY nominations and was hailed as one of the year's best albums by numerous publications, including Rolling Stone, which also named lead single "Hold On" the #1 Best Song of 2012. Soon after its release, the bandmates found themselves thrust into the global spotlight, achieving such milestones as performing at the White House and on "Saturday Night Live."

The band's legacy continued to grow with the groundbreaking Sound & Color (ATO Records). Released 10 years ago, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The first single, "Don't Wanna Fight," took honors in the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories. Sound & Color marked a profound evolution from Alabama Shakes' debut album, as The New York Times Magazine observed, heralding the band's "soul-stirring, shape-shifting new sound." Both Sound & Color and Boys & Girls were certified Platinum by the RIAA.

The Shakes' Cockrell, Fogg, & Howard have also reunited in the studio promising new music to fans who have been eagerly awaiting their return.

  • Worth all of it!

by Kelly on 8/25/25Kettlehouse Amphitheater - BonnerRating: 5 out of 5

Rain and lightning delays may have postponed parts of the show, but Alabama Shakes didn’t quit on us! Brittney sang her heart out! This has by far been my favorite concert of the year, and our family sees a lot of them! Thank you so much for holding out for us and putting on an amazing show. The vocals and music sounded even better than any recording could ever do. Pure talent!!

  • Do yourself a favor

by SH on 8/23/25Kettlehouse Amphitheater - BonnerRating: 5 out of 5

Treat yourself and go see the Alabama Shakes. It's one of the best shows I’ve ever experienced. They’re phenomenal as a band, and then there’s Brittany—her presence is absolutely mesmerizing. Not only do you not want to look away, but you simply can’t. She exudes incredible talent, confidence, and charisma. Truly spectacular. Go see them!

  • Amazing concert and venue

by French mama on 8/23/25Kettlehouse Amphitheater - BonnerRating: 5 out of 5

The amphitheater is an amazing venue and the concert was fantastic , we were on the floor and couldn’t see the facial expressions , there is not a bad seat in this venue.

  • Logjam needs work, shuttle bus, purse size! sound system!

Missed first act because we stood in line for the shuttles for over an hour!

  • Fantastic, still in awe!

by Mjrudedog on 8/23/25Kettlehouse Amphitheater - BonnerRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was so amazing. Brittany and the band are so amazing. I have wanted to see them for years and felt fortunate they came to the Kettlehouse Amp, my favorite venue!

  • AMAZING!

by Jess m on 8/23/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

Alabama Shakes was AMAZING! I also liked their opening band and the venue was so relaxing and good too! We had lawn tickets and sat far back and enjoyed that. It wasn’t overly crowded, we could see and hear well, and were able to stand the whole time though we could sit if we liked.

  • I’d listen to her sign the phonebook

by Momo on 8/22/25Kettlehouse Amphitheater - BonnerRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! The concert is a religious experience, and I’m not even a believer. The musicians, the back-up signers, the lightning all complemented Brittany Howard perfectly. And the lead singer has the voice of an angel, she makes you feel like she is singing to you and you only. Would sell my left kidney to see them again.

  • We can’t control the weather

by KW on 8/22/25Kettlehouse Amphitheater - BonnerRating: 5 out of 5

I am understanding of the venue doing what they had to do with weather and having to make difficult calls for EVERYONEs safety. That being said…….The performance of Alabama Shakes was fabulous and would have loved to have stayed and seen the whole thing but I was over the weather and patience was running thin. Add to that a drive to Kalispell after plus early day the next day it was poor planning on our end. Little bummed as it was semi a waste of money. Hope next time is different.

  • Great night!

  • Love me some Alabama Shakes

by Jesse on 8/20/25Fontainebleau - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Show started PROMPTLY! I love that. Opener was great. The shakes were FANTASTIC! 20 MILLION outta 10. Best show Ive ever seen.

  • Obstructed view!

by Dan on 8/20/25Climate Pledge Arena - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

The concert itself, musically, was fantastic! Problem was, after paying a premium price for seats close to the right side of the stage, the small stack of speakers on that side of the stage completely blocked our view of the people at the mikes! We only saw them when they stepped back from or in front of the mikes. We were in the last open section on the right side before they blocked it off as it wrapped around the back of the stage. Seems like the speakers could have been placed more to the back of the stage so that everyone in our section would have had unobstructed views.

  • One of the best bands out there

    by Weerd1 on 8/19/25Climate Pledge Arena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

What can one say about Alabama Shakes? Brittany Howard is a force to be reckoned with, and they were in top form.

  • Awesome show, stage too low.

by GaryL on 8/19/25Climate Pledge Arena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Bands were awesome. But Shannon and the Clams had a lousy PA for Climate Pledge Arena. Alabama Shakes had a good PA but the stage is too low for most of the floor seating at Climate Pledge.

  • Not the best sound

by Kbo on 8/19/25Climate Pledge Arena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Had a good time. Her voice was great but the mix was off. She was overshadowed by the keyboards. The opening band was ok

  • Brittany Howard will change your life

by lydia on 8/19/25Climate Pledge Arena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Been a fan of Alabama Shakes forever so I am so happy I finally got to see them live! Brittany Howard’s voice is like no other. The entire show was amazing. I was disappointed that there was no big screen for this concert. I’m not sure if that’s the artist’s choice or not, but we were in the section right behind floor seating and it was still hard to see the people performing. Would have been cool to be able to see them on the screen!

  • 1st time seeing Alabama Shakes

    by SueZQue on 8/18/25Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

I love the Band. The sound system was not great in the beginning but did get better as the night progressed.

  • Fantastic!

    by C. McAlister on 8/17/25Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

So, so good to have Brittany Howard and Alabama Shakes back on tour again. Look forward to their new music and another tour in the future. Our 3rd tine seeing them....always the best!

  • Great experience

    by Steve H on 8/17/25Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

Alabama shakes is one of the most unique bands out there. I would describe them as a cross between Mussel Shoals and Motown, with some weirdness thrown in, but that wouldn't be accurate. You have to experienc it. Bandleader Brittany Howard is a force, a ball of energy, alternating between sweet and hard. She loves the crowd and the crowd loves her back. What a great show!

  • Magical evening

    by Luis G on 8/17/25Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was magical experience. We had great seats! Both the bands were excellent. Ticketmaster worked with me to accommodate my disability. Thank you for a great evening and a wonderful way to celebrate our 30 year Anniversary.
