After an eight-year absence, Alabama Shakes are poised to make their return announcing a 2025 Tour across the U.S. The Athens, AL-raised band, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, and bassist Zac Cockrell exploded onto the scene in 2012 with their debut album Boys & Girls, (ATO Records), which entered Billboard's Independent Albums chart at No. 1. Boys & Girls earned the band multiple GRAMMY nominations and was hailed as one of the year's best albums by numerous publications, including Rolling Stone, which also named lead single "Hold On" the #1 Best Song of 2012. Soon after its release, the bandmates found themselves thrust into the global spotlight, achieving such milestones as performing at the White House and on "Saturday Night Live."
The band's legacy continued to grow with the groundbreaking Sound & Color (ATO Records). Released 10 years ago, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The first single, "Don't Wanna Fight," took honors in the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories. Sound & Color marked a profound evolution from Alabama Shakes' debut album, as The New York Times Magazine observed, heralding the band's "soul-stirring, shape-shifting new sound." Both Sound & Color and Boys & Girls were certified Platinum by the RIAA.
The Shakes' Cockrell, Fogg, & Howard have also reunited in the studio promising new music to fans who have been eagerly awaiting their return.

Poor sound quality. The base was to high and also the base player was turned up to loud. This made it hard to hear the drums, the vocals and guitar some of the songs.
High energy, crowd connected, and very entertaining...so glad these guys got back together! Awesome show from start to finish!
Both the Greyhounds and Alabama Shakes put on a great show.
Alabama Shakes were amazing and enjoyed the performance. The opening act was great as well. In general, I like Toyota Music Factory. The sound is great, easy to get in the venue, like being able to bring a blanket for lawn seating. What sucks is the cost for refreshments. I paid $33 for a non-craft beer and a water. That is absolutely ridiculous. Having vendor walk thru the lawn hawking overly expensive drinks is also distracting and real sleazy.
This was my first time to 713 Music Hall. It was easy to get through security and into the event. I loved seeing Alabama Shakes here. We were so close to the stage! Everything went great!
Last Friday night at 713 Music Hall in Houston, Britany Howard & Co delivered a greatest hits show with energy and grace. Superb performance.
Alabama Shakes are amazing! Brittany Howard is a guitar virtuoso and man, what a voice! Add in Zac Cockrell and Heath Fogg and the chemistry is undeniable.
Brittany was at her best, band was tight, production and set was awesome and the crowd was lit. Played everything you'd want to hear - brilliantly! Nothing more we could have asked for except an encore in '26.
Alabama Shakes was great! Brittany Howard is a dynamo! I recommend attending her/their shows!
