Hearing Al Franken was great, as always. He is on point and comedic about all subjects. The venue, Pantages, enforced the mask/proof of Covid vax well; however, it was extremely crowded and no attempt was made to reduce capacity. People were eating and drinking at venue. It seemed to me the environment was unsafe.
It was a great event. There was a mixture of story telling, politics and great comedy. He held us all captive and left us wanting more. It was a wonderful evening!
Our seats were unbelievably uncomfortable. We sat in the upper balcony first row. Including the markup with Ticketmaster, this was not a good deal.
Al is a great storyteller which made the evening very enjoyable. All the stories, and thoughts on current events were enlightening and, of course, humorous. I do hope he does another tour because I left wanting to hear more!! Great show! I highly recommend it!
We really enjoyed our evening at the Al Franken event. Great location, easy to get to and find parking. Easy and quick health and safety protocols and the event felt safe. Al was funny, told great stories and I learned a thing or two.
Al was great. The only annoying parts came from the venue. They didn't notify us no cell phones and had no signs, so we kept being distracted by people on phones, then the workers constantly telling people not to be on their phones. It was very annoying. Also, there should be signs that tell people not to put drinks on the ledge, that way employees dont have to keep yelling out to those folks that do it. The venue was not well organized. Even woth everyone standing around outside waiting to get in, and nobody knew how to get in or what to do. Bad, bad organization from the venue. But Al was good.
Efficient, Covid protocols gave us safety, and kAl is the reason to stand up and cheer.
Al Franken was funny, really funny. The show is almost entirely political and he shares lots of insights gained while serving in our US Senate. He does some impressions, which are spot on and great. He is also personal and shares stories that are at times touching. I highly recommend this show if you live in the political world. You will learn a lot in addition to laughing.
I had read Al"s books and listened to his podcasts. The show was mostly full of the same material. I liked it but would have been better to have more current political satire.
I was impressed by how smoothly the process of getting into the theater and to our seats was. Our vaccine cards and ID's were checked, the line moved quickly, and the ticket check/bag search process went smoothly. From the time we got to the theater to the time we got into our seats was 15-20 minutes, which was quite good considering everything that had to be done. I commend the theater on ensuring a safe experience for everyone with required vaccines and masks. These measures are a small price to pay for bringing us together for a great show safely. And Al Franken was great. An outstanding comedian who effortlessly kept the audience engaged with stories from his life and incisive commentary on his Senate colleagues.
Al Frankin put on a truly engaging show! He was articulate, intelligent, informative, and FUNNY:) It was such a pleasure to listen to someone of Frankin’s intellect discuss past and current events. His stories (from days at SNL to his hatred of Ted Cruz) are truly captivating. If you have the chance, don’t miss this show.
Franken was as good as we expected. God, I miss him. If it weren't for the fact that the trumpies are serious douchbags, I would bail on the Democrats and the likes of that c<nt Gillebrandt.
Great venue, and Al did not disappoint. Terrifically entertaining, timely and relevant. Loved it!
Al was great! Funny, interesting, sweet monologue that kept you entertained throughout. Loved the venue, staff, and seating was perfect. Miss you in the Senate but very happy to see you on stage!
What a fun evening! Felt like sitting with a friend on the deck talking politics, and family, experiences. Impressions so funny, and I couldn't even understand what his Mitch McConnell was saying!!
We attended Al Franken and really enjoyed it. He was up to date on current events, made fun of people (just like anybody else), and made us laugh our asses off.
what can I say? a great, and funny story teller. full of humor and up to the minute topics.
I was apprehensive about the time involved with checking IDs and vaccine cards. It was extremely smooth and quick. I appreciated feeling safe in the theatre. Al, of course, was fantastic. All in all it was a wonderful evening.
Al was funny, engaging, and gave us a glimmer of hope!
The seating at this venue was so cramped that you could not exit your seat without totally disrupting guests. Very uncomfortable ice cream parlor chairs are set up with absolutely no aisle space. Would not go to any shows at this venue again unless the seating arrangement was changed.
