Al never disappoints, always calls it like it is with humor mixed in. Damn I wish he was still in the Senate, we could use a sane voice of reason! Hey Al, have you considered leading the DNC? We could use someone who can craft a message! Make it Stick!!! Lol.
Franken was as funny as ever - just by recounting personal stories.
The Al Franken show at Count Basie was so entertaining. It was a thinking person’s comedy show. Al is funny, astute, and has a way of making us understand the mess our country is in while keeping hope! His sense of humor enlightened us while making us laugh!
Al was hysterical and warm. My only criticism would be that he was finished way too soon. Would definitely go to see his show again.

Al Franken was fantastic and not only made us laugh but was poignant and so relevant and so caring. It was heartbreaking to realize, once again, that this man SHOULD be in the US Senate and not on the comedic stage but on the political and public stage.
I knew hearing Al would be a good experience, but must say I was so impressed with his content, his delivery, his timing and his sense of history. One of his many gifts is telling the truth. And boy, do we need that! His insight is valuable, as is his ability to remain a down-to-earth individual. I would love to see him back in elected office. His voice was extremely valuable during the judicial hearings--so logical and skilled were his statements and questions that I am almost certain that was why the GOP targeted him. I was so disappointed in the Democratic leadership that was unable to disambiguate the situation accurately. Al is fantastic, and his show is entertaining, educational and just plain funny! Thanks, Al!!
This was a great event. Balboa theater is a great venue. He was outstanding to hear. I highly recommend the talk. He is a comedian and he tells stories with a funny twist. Love it.
Love Al Franken! He is funny and informed and has “been there” so his perspective is important and authoritative. I guess I was hoping for more impromptu and off-the-cuff remarks about breaking news. I know he has insightful things to say. Maybe unrealistic to expect that at the end of a grueling tour, but I did. I had heard most of the bits on YouTube and the podcasts. Still good to see him in person. The map was unexpected and kind of a head-scratcher. Cool, but why?
Enjoyable evening, his wit and humor are AAA+++ and some great insights about som members of Congress
Our group of four absolutely loved Al Franken's show. It was one laugh after another and most of the lines were really clever. His sense of timing - wow! Al is clearly a thoughtful human being and the stories about his family were touching - in addition to being funny. So great these days to see a performance that is just plain smart and uplifting without being stupid or coarse. Time went by so quickly. Not sure why the performance was so late in starting - that's a little frustrating for those of us who show up on time with our tickets in order.
Al Franken's low key approach to humor was exactly the right pitch during this pandemic, Ukrainian war, climate change, post attempted trumpcoup, era.
Neither "Night and Day" nor the Ticket, explained that masks and vaccination records were required. This caused much confusion, and a long delay, as many had to be tested for Covid at the venue site.
Al does not disappoint! Great show...funny, spot on, engaging, topical. I've missed Al's wry humor and it was wonderful to hear his insights of fellow politicians. Gut busting.
Pretty much the guy you’d expect - and more engaging than expected. Audience hoots and applauses would say a definite hit.
Great effort from a great human being. Covered all the necessary subjects and showed he is more Presidential than Trump could ever be.
We were thoroughly enthralled for two hours and wished it could go on for another two hours
What a pleasure it was to spend an evening together with people being entertained. We laughed our heads off and to be honest I’ve been thinking about it ever since. Al Franken is an American treasure. Please run again!
Al Franken out on a really interesting and funny show. He relayed stories about his life and time in politics with humor. I’m an even bigger fan of his now.
Ate locally, Portafino, parked nearby. Very comfortable seating and Al was great. Overall, a very enjoyable evening
