Great concert but wish more acoustic music was played!

  • Great show!

by Luisitomx on 10/12/24The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 5 out of 5

Al is a gifted musician whom I have enjoyed seeing at The Magnolia for the last 3 years. With 50 years of musicians hip under his belt, he has a lot to offer whenever he plays.

  • Outstanding performance!!!

by Jen on 10/11/24The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 5 out of 5

The guitar playing was more outstanding in person that from an album. His fingers fly. Excellent performance. I loved it!!!

  • just OK

by RMB on 10/11/24The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 4 out of 5

Clearly Al Demeola is a professional, well-schooled guitarist, and what would be referred to as a "shredder". His capability to flying around the guitar neck and plucking strings at lightning speeds shows us mere mortals what an education at Berkley School of Music can do for the serious student. His style of music does not appeal to me, and I may not attend any of his concerts again. Having said this, any guitarist would give their eye teeth for half of his skill and knowledge of the instrument.

  • Sound wasn't good :(

by Giacomo on 10/11/24The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 3 out of 5

So a shame, the sound was really bad .... the guitar was very low compared to the other and not clear at all ..... :(

  • Amazing Musicianship!

by SinCityRick on 10/7/24The Summit Showroom at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Al Di Meola gave a masterclass in guitar playing and musicianship. Simply amazing! The band was firing on all cylinders!

  • Pretty Good

by Jammer on 5/12/24Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 4 out of 5

The show was rescheduled because of heart troubles! Fortunately, Al recovered! He is a true craftsman!! Venue had to move us to a different room because something else was scheduled which was kind of a bummer! But, the show was great! I wish Ticketmaster and all of the other ticket outlets would give the option of printing tickets like they used to. I love going to shows and collecting things from shows. And the old tickets are priceless to Me!!

  • Loved Al

by Speedster on 5/7/24Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Al was incredible. Playing to a packed house he played many of his old songs and even something from a new release coming soon. The percussionist is one of the best in the business. The venue, The Birchmere, was also very good for his show.

  • Above average performance.

by Lee on 5/6/24Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

Very skilled band but the drums and bass guitar sounded somewhat muddled perhaps due to the acoustics of the room. The length of the show was just right.

  • Guitar Wizardry

by Robbie on 5/4/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw Al Di Meola "The Electric Years"tour at the Birchmere on May 3. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate the show a 12! I've been a huge fan of ADM since his Elegant Gypsy release in 1977 which is a mind blowing LP. I then went back to get familiar with his earlier work including his time with Return To Forever. I had not seen ADM play live as an electric band since 1980, only acoustic shows which are still exceptional. However great ADM is acoustically, the power of his live electric shows is simply overwhelming. It's hard to believe what you are seeing and hearing, breath taking comes to mind. Great band too, super high level compositions and musicianship. Highly recommend. PS, The Birchmere is a great place to see a show!

  • Al is Back

  • Fantastic performance and unparalleled skill

    by Cody-o-Dacity on 5/3/24Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Al Di Meola never ceases to amaze! Incredible and unique style of playing guitar and composing/arranging. Loved the history and stories he shared throughout the night. His band was top notch and about as tight as you can get. I will never forget listening to Elegant Gypsy LIVE played on the guitar that was originally used to record the whole album. Fantastic!

  • Loved it

by MT on 5/3/24Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

In high school, a friend and I would have what we termed “jazz bar”, where we sat in a room with Al DiMeola playing in the background. Always the orange and blue album, or the kiss my ax album. This concert really took me back, and it felt great. All the sound was great. The venue was fantastic. The chairs sucked ass though

  • Legendary

by Skye Lark on 5/3/24Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

So great to hear that music performed live again. And on that '71 Les Paul (!) that sounds amazing. Moving, mind-blowing, and goose bumps all evening.

  • An unforgettable experience

by Happy Al Di Meola Fan on 2/27/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

As a fan of Al Di Meola for decades, I was so fortunate to meet him, watch him rehearse, sitting on the first row! taking a picture next to him and getting his personalized autograph on one of my favorite albums of all time “Friday Night in San Francisco”. All this, thanks to the VIP package offered by Ticket Master. Great idea, and an experience of a lifetime I will treasure forever. Not to mention his performance as well as the band’s was electrifying as expected. Special thanks to all team members at The Parker, always making sure everything is done on time, and great customer service. Thank you and keep up the great work!

  • Memorable Show!

Epic & unforgettable. Every member of the band was a virtuoso.

  • Great Show... Great Memories!

by BAD on 2/2/24Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Al Di Meola changed the approach to guitar playing for many of us back in the 70's. It is so great to see him back healthy and still playing like he did when he innovated fusion/rock on guitar so many years ago.
