    Adrian Belew Power Trio Awesome!

by gringy on 9/13/09Diesel Club Lounge - Pittsburgh

Finally real musicians who play real music! Adrian Belew is definitely underrated as a superb guitarist!! He, along with the brother/sister combo of Eric and Julie,Slick make up[ a threesome which is as tight a unit as one could imagine!! Intricate time changes, fluid rhythm and the sheer enjoyment of playing make this trio one of the best shows one could ever see!! Music for musicians is what I like to call it! Most of their new CD "E" was played last night along with some favorites from his large catalog of work!! A small but appreciative crowd was treated to almost two hours of top notch playing!! It was the last night of their East Coast tour but the energy was definitely there!! Crisp bass lines and intricate drumming gave the audience their money's worth plus!! Even more amazing is that the brother/sister duo are in their early twenties!! Mama Slick was there selling merchandise to make this a real family affair!! Don't miss this act next time in the 'burgh!

Adrian Belew Power Trio -belew my mind!

by PyroMania on 8/29/09B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Adrian, along with the brother and sister Slick kids; Eric on drums and Julie on bass played an unforgettable 2 hour set consisting of many songs from Adrian's 30 years of solo albums, as well as several classic King Crimson cuts. His final encore was the appropriate "Three of a Perfect Pair" that should have been renamed Three of a Perfect Power Trio!

    too loud

by Danfs on 7/23/09Martyrs - Chicago

Fantastic concert. Both the opening duo and Adrian were amazing. Being an Events Coordinator and ex-stage manager for a major performing arts center, I feel that the loudness of the concert created a wall of sound that made the audience loose all the details of the performance. After I bought an ear plug, the sound became much clearer.

The whole show was amazing. The band played a couple songs of King Crimson but they played their stuff as well. It was UNFORGETTABLE!

    A very special evening

by DementedAvenger on 7/23/09Martyrs - Chicago

Adrian was absolutely joyous in his performance. Rarely do you get the chance to see an artist enjoy performing this much. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to have seen this show. Everything clicked.

    Adrian Belew

by RMBchicago on 7/23/09Martyrs - Chicago

There are no words to describe how absolutely fantastic the concert was. Remarkable from many, many perspectives. I only wish I could have brough my kids who, being under the age of 21, could not attend. Experiencing Belew over the many years has always been a gift and, with the Power Trio, the gift has been elevated to a new level of musical and artistic achievement. Wow!

    by 6six on 7/22/09Grog Shop - Cleveland

Another great show at a hall I have not been in. Great sound and visability and a very solid opener. Got to hear new material from Adrian Belew and The Power Trio coming out late this month. I hope to see Adrian Belew and The Power Trio again and any show that I can at the Grogg shop.

    Fantastic

I saw this power trio last time they came to the area and loved them. This time they were even better. Third time at The Ark and it is quickly becoming my favorite venue.

    Three of a perfect ....trio.

by ItsMrL on 7/21/09The Ark - Ann Arbor

Superb! The Slick siblings couldn't be more in the pocket! Eric is one of the best drummers this jaded old rocker has ever heard, and I have heard them All! Julie has GREAT mastery of the Bass (sorry about the "excellent bottom" comment). Vic Wooten make room for this ladies talents on the list of greatest. And then there is Adrian. NO WORDS do justice. Any style, plus those he invented. Why else would Parker name a guitar for him? Nuff said!
