About

Adele has been a superstar since the release of her debut album 19 in 2008. The British singer has been showered with accolades, including 16 Grammy Awards and an Academy Award for “Skyfall.” Adele’s blend of classical soul and gospel with heartfelt pop balladry has made her an international phenomenon. Her second album, 21 (2011), sold over 31 million copies and topped the Billboard 200 for 24 weeks, becoming the bestselling album of the 21st century. She continued her chart-topping dominance on 25 (2015) and 30 (2021) — the latter becoming the fastest-selling album of the year in both the United States and United Kingdom. In November 2021, Adele announced WEEKENDS WITH ADELE, an exclusive residency at Las Vegas’ The Colosseum at Caesars Palace that runs through 2024.

The Civil Wars did an excellent job opening up for Adele. They were so sweet after the entire concert meeting with all their fans and they signed a copy of their record for my brother which he has been listening to everyday since! To put it bluntly Adele is perfection. Her set was awesome and her voice sounded just like it did on 19 and 21. I can't wait to see her in Asheville!

    I want my money back

by goldengirlk on 5/16/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Adele is amazing, she has an awesome voice, but she should've performed at a different venue, with more seating as her songs aren't too energetic. After standing for an hour, I felt dizzy and nearly passed out. The crowd was very into her, and I have a feeling she might be a witch, sucking all of our energy. One girl was extremely rude to me as I tried to get by her.

    Adele : what a voice!!!

by RoughDiamond on 5/16/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Adele exceeded expectations, she was amazing, clearly a natural talent at the top of her game. The success of the 2nd album has taken Adele to new heights & in the show she blended melancholy classics with some of her more upbeat examples to give a very entertaining performance. The Civil Wars were fascinating, not my usual thing, but captivating & very enjoyable! Finally : I loved the Electric Factory, my first time there, compact venue, great atmosphere

    Adele is FLAWLESS.

by rbh226 on 5/15/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

I knew from the moment that I heard Adele was coming back to tour in the US that I would have to see her show. I find more and more these days, singers who sound as good, if not better, live than they do recorded are few and far between. I wasn't surprised at all that Adele is better live than she is recorded (and her recordings are AMAZING!). Not only did she sound beautiful, but she expresses such genuine emotion, and it is so easy to connect with her. It was also lovely to experience her captivating personality. She truly made me wish I could be her best friend. In a word, Adele is FLAWLESS. Prior to the concert, I had not heard of the Civil Wars, who were also wonderful. Both of their voices are wonderful, and I loved the rawness of their stripped-down style. Aside from their talent, their chemistry and performance was so enjoyable to witness (I was SHOCKED that they aren't a couple). Absolutely lovely.

    More Adele, Please

by Anonymous on 5/15/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Much has been made of Adele recently, with her new album absolutely taking off. Her show at the Electric Factory was simply amazing. I loved most of it, the only complaint I have is not even related to her performance, it's mostly about the fact that I couldn't move a single inch. Seriously. Anyways, she was simply wonderful. There was an excellent balance of singing and showmanship, and the only way it could've been improved is if everyone in the audience would've shut up a bit so I could've heard more Adele, and less of their off-key additions. I still loved the show, Adele had an amazing setlist, an amazing stage, and simply astounded everyone who was in attendance. I would go see her again in a heartbeat.

    Awed by greatness

by IAmSoLucky on 5/15/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Adele was amazing! The place was packed and she was surprised that the crowd knew al the words to all the words. The crowds praises were deafening. I traveled to Philly from DC (where tickets sold out in 1 min) and it was worth the trip. Her voice was better live than on the album. Her voice is soulful, powerful, and absolutely beautiful.

    Adele steals your heart!

by MegOreo on 5/15/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Adele and The Civil Wars were fantastic. As openers The Civil Wars more than I expected. Their folk/southern spin with a dash of modern presence was easy to fall in love with. I'm now a new fan of theirs. When it comes to Adele, she was flawless. Her humble and loving nature shown through the whole show. She gave little anecdotes behind each song while conveying how much she appreciates her fans. Vocally Adele was as mind blowing as you would imagine from her. The show ending was the only disappointing aspect! Double thumbs up Adele! Can't wait for her return to Philadelphia!

What powerhouse! Her show was so incredible, and I feel privileged to have gotten to see her. She is so successful, and so humble, and that made me love her even more. Her opening act was also brilliant, The Civil Wars. An unforgettable night!
