About

Adele has been a superstar since the release of her debut album 19 in 2008. The British singer has been showered with accolades, including 16 Grammy Awards and an Academy Award for “Skyfall.” Adele’s blend of classical soul and gospel with heartfelt pop balladry has made her an international phenomenon. Her second album, 21 (2011), sold over 31 million copies and topped the Billboard 200 for 24 weeks, becoming the bestselling album of the 21st century. She continued her chart-topping dominance on 25 (2015) and 30 (2021) — the latter becoming the fastest-selling album of the year in both the United States and United Kingdom. In November 2021, Adele announced WEEKENDS WITH ADELE, an exclusive residency at Las Vegas’ The Colosseum at Caesars Palace that runs through 2024.

    ADELE = AMAZING! BEACON THEATER = D+

by Lostsleep on 5/23/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Adele was a powerhouse. The girl can sing! She sounds better live than on the album. Amazing. The Beacon Theater however has terrible acoustics, and their sound system is outdated. Both Adele and he amazing opening act had moments during songs where the echo of the song would be picked up by the mic cause it to go back through causing so much reverberation that I started to get a headache. The security guards were also terrible. One stood next to our section for a few songs and his walkie-talkie kept talking. GET A HEADSET! We are hear to hear ADELE sing, not your partner communicate to you about some woman using her flash on her camera.

    The best VOICE

by LoveAdeleAvarello on 5/22/11Beacon Theatre - New York

She has the kind of talent that seems so effortless but in actuality is sooo rare! I didn't think it was possible to sound better live but she proved me wrong!... She touches the soul when she sings! Yet she is so funny about her love life and the songs that make you cry she will make you laugh about with the stories behind them. So happy I got to experience her live in NYC! Love love love her!

    Captivating

by gahna on 5/22/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Adele put on a brilliantly fantastic performance Thursday night. She's even better live than on her record. I've been listening to 21 nonstop since and I keep going back to the videos from the show because the atmosphere was so outstanding! Anyone who is a fan of Adele, or just music in general, MUST see her live.

I loved everything about it. And her opening act The Civil Wars were actually almost half amazing as she was. I love them now too.

Adele is the new UK Queen!

by Anonymous on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Adele has what it takes to become a legend!!! I've been trying to see her live in concert for the past 3 years and it was well worth the wait!!! Adele was everything that I thought she was going to be, plus so much more! Just fantastic...I have never been so emotional in my life. She gave me chills the whole time and I was trying so hard to fight back tears throughout the show. I just can't get over how well she sings live and she makes it look so easy! She reminds me of Aretha Franklin and all the other great SANGERS, not singers...there's a BIG difference. Adele is such a breath of fresh air in the music industry right now. She is just herself and she doesn't care what people think about her which I love most about her. She was so down to earth and had the crowd dying of laugher throughout the night. I feel so blessed to have been able to see her this time especially since this is her breakout year. I have a feeling that Adele will be around for many more years to come and will win a lot of Grammy awards next year. The talent that Adele has is so rare and endless. It was really something to see...just her and the band on stage. I didn't want to show to end...I can't get enough of Adele!!! I have to see her again whenever she goes back on tour!!!

    Adele & the Beacon Theater

by Robbie2shoes on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Well we just have to say What a great time my wife and I had at the Beacon for the Adele show. We took the train up from MD to spend the day in NYC. Everyone was wonderful the Staff Frank and Anthony took care of our every need and meeting the Members of Civil Wars before the show for pictures was a nice touch. The Concert was the reason for our journey and boy what a show it was the last night for Civil Wars on Adele's tour and they played a fun, spirited set their rapport and stage presence will do them well. Adele was on fire and the fact that both her mother and best friend were at the show placed even more importance to her set. She made time stand still and fly by at the same time. Her set was well worth the the travel, tour of NY and the 30 hour day that we spent.

Adele was amazing, she always puts on an awesome show. Her voice is beautiful and her soul is too. The Beacon Theatre was a good venue, large yet intimate. I do attribute that detail to Adele's ability to captivate her audience with her story.

    AMAZING!!!

by Irongirl009 on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Adele was absolutely incredible! (One of the best concerts I have ever seen.) Her voice was flawless and dripping with emotion. You could tell she really felt every word she sang. She also has a great sense of humor and we looked forward to her stories in between the songs as much as the actual music. She is so easy to relate to and so real which is a huge breath of fresh air in a sea of scripted and manufactured pop stars. Wish I could go again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

    Adele was terrific!

by waltbriski on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

The venue and the crowd weren't. She should have played at the Hammerstein Ballroom - everyone would have been on the same level and the quality of sound would have been better. The last thing I wanna deal with, when I go to a concert, is fan singing along with the artist. One or two songs I can understand. But the whole concert? Also, those people with iPhones and blackberries. Nothing will ever be as good as the live performance. How about turning off the phones and enjoying the performance? She deserves a 9. (she didn't play any encore!)

    Perfection

by RockyRodney on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Adele graced everyone with her perfect voice and rye humor. The entire theater was in love with every aspect of the show. The sound quality was great making the entire evening an homage to the singer/song writer art form. Would love to see this show again and again and again... Perfection!!

    Adele was amazing!!!!

by ConnecticutAnge on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

I am in awe of her talent--her voice and her song writing (words and music). She is truly an amazing artist. Best concert I've seen and I've seen many a legend. She brought to life all of her songs and was pitch perfect. I'd see her again and again and only regret the masses now adore her (after the release of '21') and ticket prices will NEVER be this reasonable again.

    Go See Adele

by Rabs on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Adele only surprised some people when her new album went to number one and probably when it made them cry at even the 8th listen in a row. She did not surprise me. I will never forget the first time I saw the video for Chasing Pavements and how I had to hear more and had to have her first album. I remember vividly the joy of seeing her a couple of years ago at the Hollywood Bowl. And now, I am overjoyed that I had the opportunity to see her again, this time in NYC at the Beacon Theatre. Adele is a powerhouse. Even when she says her voice is hoarse, she takes it to church and takes the entire audience with her. Boyfriends - this is one concert that you won't regret having to take your girlfriend to even with Adele's sardonic references to her song-inspiring ex and the fact that your girlfriend will be a boy-hater for the next 4 minutes and 36 seconds, you will still be happy that you are there to hear it. I recommend this even to a friend or anyone I don't know that can appreciate such a talent.

    Goosebumps!

by fan878 on 5/21/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Anyone who has heard her album knows Adele is amazing, but live takes it to the next level. Although I was sitting in second row from the back, the intimate feel of the show was not lost on me. Her revealing antedotes between songs brought out the emotion behind many of the songs on "21" but the second she opened her sub-human voice the audience was in a trance. My friend and I left the show with goosebumps; can't wait until she comes back to perform in NY!
