Ace Frehley Live in Concert

Born Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley in Bronx, New York, Ace Frehley started playing the guitar at 13. He never went to a music school, nor did he ever take a guitar lesson since every member of his family played instruments. He spent the early '70s in a series of local bands. In 1973, he co-founded the American rock band KISS. He departed the band in 1982 and went on to lead a successful solo career. His 1978 solo output -- KISS: Ace Frehley (released as part of the KISS solo albums) -- went platinum. In 1984, he assembled, amongst others, drummer Anton Fig and bassist John Regan to form a group with a name that alternated between Ace Frehley and Frehley's Comet. This group recorded a series of demos throughout 1984 and 1985, and performed their first-ever live show at S.I.R. Studios in New York City on November 30, 1984. In 1987 he released Frehley's Comet and it charted on the Billboard 200. He subsequently returned to KISS in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour. In 2004, he tied with Paul Stanley at No. 14 on Guitar World's list of the 100 Greatests Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time. Frehley's influences include artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Albert Lee, among others. In 2014, Frehley, along with the original members of KISS, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His 2020 solo album Origins, Vol. 2, charted on the Billboard 200.

by Losttxn on 5/25/22The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Ace Frehley never disappoints , his band is amazing. This was first time to venue. It is nice but very small and sound isn't the best , might of just been opening acts speakers though. I had binoculars and no one ever told me not allowed till I got to security, so I tossed in trash, then found out they would store them for 5 bucks. I would definitely go back especially if Ace Frehley is performing. Just st wish the prohibited item list on fence said no binoculars.

  • Ace has still got it!

by redbearlvr on 5/25/22The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

My second time in a year seeing Ace. Great seeing him at the Echo Lounge smaller club with great seats and felt closer to the stage. It’s like seeing a stripped down version on a KISS show and I don’t for one minute mean that as a negative thing. His band is full of energy that brings those old songs to life. Ace has always been an entertainer and God bless him I hope he rocks out for as long as he wants at 71.

  • The Spaceman Cometh

by Inknerd on 5/24/22The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Ace killed it in Dallas. The smartest thing he has done is surround himself with a great backing band “The Talismen”. Collectively they shred through a greatest hits of the early Kiss catalogue helping prop up the sound. Ace pulls out some old favorites in the trick guitar department and gives the fans what they want.

  • Great Band, Horrible Mix

    by C. R. on 5/24/22The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

Ace and his band were fantastic! However the mix had major problems. The main complaint was the kick drum, toms, and most low frequencies in general were so loud relitave to the rest of the band it was just hard to enjoy. Also the over all mix was just too loud for such a small venue. Echo Lounge Dallas was designed for great sound at manageable volume. No need to over modulate to ear bleeding levels. It does absolutely no favors for a talented back like this.

  • Awesome show!

  • Flipp sucked

by Chuck on 5/17/22The Queen - WilmingtonRating: 4 out of 5

A added ba d Tempt was great. Flipp was horrible as the primary openning act. Ace was great. However it was was hard to hear the vocals in the Queen.

  • Great show

by Frehkeyfan on 3/19/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show Ace rocked out and the event center is a nice venue.

  • Ace was great, the venue dropped the ball.

    by D. H. on 3/16/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 1 out of 5

Ace Frehley was great. Five stars to the Space Ace! This show had been postponed multiple times. I have held the tickets for almost two years. Somewhere in there the seating arrangement must have changed. The numeric order of the tickets was reversed on the floor, so instead of sitting near the middle of the arena, I was seated all the way on the outside of the section. I was not the only person disappointed in this. There were also missing seats that were thrown on the end of the row... near the center where my seats should have been.

  • Great show, great venue

by KenSr on 3/15/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 5 out of 5

The Lawrenceburg Event Center has a large indoor lobby so fans don't have to wait outside in the weather for the doors to open. Drinks at the bar were very reasonable. Not a bad seat in the house. Every seat has a good view of the entire stage. Ace Frehley played for a good 90 minutes. Definitely got our money's worth.

  • Band 5 stars, venue 2 stars

by Concertqueen on 3/15/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 3 out of 5

I absolutely loved the idea of having a hotel attached to the venue. It really worked out well after the show. Unfortunately the venue was very poorly organized. The seats were folding chairs and they didn't put out enough seats for the tickets they sold. Also, the majority of rock shows I go to they let people go to the stage. I asked one of the security guards ahead of time if they were going to let us and he said yes. I had second row seats. I went up front right before Ace went on. Then a different security guard made everyone sit down. After Ace started a lot of people went back of front then at that point the security didn't do anything. I was really frustrated because I'm short so I ended up not being able to see very well as at that point there were about 4 or 5 rows of people in front of me even though our seats were in the second row. It really made me upset because I could have been up front the whole time. But with all of that being said, the band rocked. I will definitely be going to see Ace again but maybe just not at that venue.

  • Ace Rocked Lawrenceburg!

by Lance on 3/15/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 5 out of 5

Ace rocked Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He’ll be 71 next month, and still sounds great. I had the honor to meet him after his show. He signed autographs, and posed for a photo with me. I can’t wait to go see Ace again.

  • Ace

by LokisQueen on 3/15/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 3 out of 5

The venue was nice..we have been before. It was a little irritating that it started almost and hour after the time on the tickets said it should but i suspect that was the artist and not the venue.

  • Great show. A little loud for a small venue.

by Sparky on 3/15/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 5 out of 5

The best part for me was when they played 'Emerald' from the Thin Lizzy album Jailbreak.

  • Ace Frehley Lawrenceburg IN

Show was Awesome. Ace was great and his band is AMAZING! The Spaceman delivers!!!!

  • Ace Frehley Concert

by JERRY on 3/15/22Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 4 out of 5

The opening band was terrible. Ace is Ace. He's got those young bucks singing most of the time. His guitar playing is still awesome. Overall a very good concert. I wish he played more of his Frehleys Comet songs instead of Kiss songs. Emerald song on origins 2 is terrible and live it's even worse.

  • Aces!!!

by Kissrocks on 10/11/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Saw Ace 10/10...AWESOME!!! Tons of energy, band was great. Ace did not disappoint. Only regret-we weren't in the front row.
