  • Kings X were amazing

by progrox on 10/1/10Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 3 out of 5

Kings X were playing a top knotch show as usual but the sound man did absolutely nothing for them since they were the opening act. Couldn't hear the drums of all things and the vocals were suppressed. Guitar high in the mix. Funny, the sound was perfect when Accept came on. We bought $50 VIP tickets but were seated on the floor with standing room only in front of us 15 deep....couldn't see a thing. Would have been better off buying cheap tickets had to stand all night anyway.

  • King's X Still Kills

by dkunick on 10/1/10Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue, very nice. Extremely lax rules, no issues with taking a beer bottle right up to the stage. Stood directly in front of Ty the whole show. King's X rocked. Guitar tech handed out pics after the show and before the show the drum tech gave a little kid a pair of sticks. Accept was very good and exceeded my expectations. A little bit Spinal Tappish at times, but what do you expect. Listened thru 17 other songs I didn't know to get to Balls to the Wall, their last song. Mark, their new singer, did great and Wolf and Peter both rocked as well...better chops than I expected.

  • King's X rocks, Accept is unacceptable

    by Robster528 on 10/1/10Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 4 out of 5

A fantastic King's X set. Pulled heavily from the first 4 albums, and it was all songs that Dug sings. The band was ON, more than I've seen them in most of the 15 times I"ve seen them. If you have a chance to catch King's X on this tour, you should. You can leave when Accept comes on - they were pathetic.

  • Accept and Kings X

by DioRules on 10/1/10Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 4 out of 5

Great show with two excellent heavy metal legends from the 80's. Lots of energy and of course a high level of musician ship displayed by both bands. A must see if you're nostalgic about those times

  • Accept was unforgettable!!!

Accept was fantastic!!! Lead singer Mark Tornillo's voice, energy, stage presence, showmanship & all around talent was fantastic!!!

  • ACCEPT PUTS OUT A GREAT SHOW

by SteeleDust on 9/30/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The microphones for the lead vocalists were turned down a bit too low. With King's X, you couldn't hear Doug over the music. My vantage point was right at the foot of the stage. Both bands engaged the crowd, however, ACCEPT was better at it. The band reached out over into the crowd to slap hands, they held their guitars out over the front of the crowd, and all antics were large and sweeping, and it really looked like they were having a great time, and loving what they do. They smiled throughout while playing, and they sounded good. Mark Tornillo and Wolff were particularly animated

  • Accept with local frontman conquers, Kings X flat

by Rocker126 on 9/29/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

As much as I was looking forward to Kings X, the lack of interplay between band members made the set seem strained. After audinece members (mostly)favorably agreed to lead singer/bassist Doug Pinnicks's request to shut off the AC, the set continued, tho focused equally across their career seemingly to the lack of material from their early Megaforce and most popular albums. A quick turnover and AC back on!Accept roared onstage wtih new singer Mark Tornillo formerly of NJ local heroes TT Quick., a perfect fit. The band delivered a crisp set of sing-along metal anthems often going back to Breaker & Metal Heart. with the audience participating on most choruses.

  • Accept delivers heavy metal the right way

by msrp on 9/29/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I am glad to see Accept rocking again, and Mark does a great job singing both old and new songs live. The band put tons of energy into performance and they sound great. I've been a fan of Accept since my teen years, and this was a dream come true to see them live up close for the first time.

  • King's X was superior

by KingsXFan on 9/29/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic set list executed perfectly by the most under appreciated band in history, King's X. Tried to stay for a few songs from Accept, but 80's metal not my thing.

  • Accept was incredible!

by TrailerParkMafia on 9/27/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Accept kicked ass! The new singer Mark is amazing! Sound was perfect, not over bearing. The Club is really nice, you can see the bands from all different areas, not much blocking your view. Would highly recommend to friends! Only thing booze is expensive!

  • ACCEPT WAS ON FIRE TONITE!!!!!!!!!!

by HALJALIKEAKIK on 9/27/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

ACCEPT WITH NEW VOCALIST MARK TORNILLO ARE WELL WORTH THE EFFORT. THOUGH NOT A UDO CLONE TORNILLO HITS ALL THE NOTES OF ALL YOUR FAVORITE SONGS FROM THE ACCEPT CATALOG. THEY ONLY PLAYED 2 SONGS FROM THE NEW CD AND THEY FIT IN THE SET WITH THE OLDER NUMBERS LIKE A GLOVE. GREAT SHOW FOR NEW FANS AND OLD ALIKE.

  • Accept is back and better than ever!!!

Nowadays, people are always talking about the olden days, when everything was better. Finally, someone has done something better than it was the past. Accept fans around the world are reveling in what is now a combination of the ultimate comeback and a new and improved version of their favorite metal band. With the addition of Mark Tornillo, Accept is the best they have ever been, this is how we have always done metal in New Jersey...LOUD & PROUD!!! Special thanks to the band for being especially friendly and cordial in person....XOXO

  • ACCEPT is BACK and BETTER THAN EVER!

by planetcanavan on 9/27/10Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

There are not words in the English language that are strong or descriptive enough to express what I saw and heard this past Saturday night. Easily one of the best shows I have ever seen, ACCEPT are back, and show why they were always one of the most respected and tightest sounding bands around. They sound just as good, if not better than they did back in the day. Incredible show. New vocalist Mark Tornillo (TT Quick) fits right in with their sound and vibe. I urge you, even if you are a casual ACCEPT fan, to go buy the new album "Blood of the Nations", and see them live. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. They can basically show every other band around today how it is done. Also, they did a meet and greet after the show and hung around to talk with all the fans that stayed after the show and signed anything we wanted. They had fun, and were very friendly, funny, and gracious. This band RULES. And to the die-hard fans out there, we always knew THEY RULED.

  • Accept is a MUST SEE rock n roll show

  • Front Row for great ACCEPT SHOW

by SHAUNISM on 5/12/10Gramercy Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Intimate veniew with theater seating in back. Great place to be up close and personal. Get there early if you want to be near the front. Opening act was JC Satelite and they are YOUNG kids with alot of talent, great energy and play well as a band. Headliner was ACCEPT from Germany. This was there first show in the States in 15 years. They have a new lead singer from New Jersey who fronted the Legendary T.T. QUICK. His name is Mark Tornillo. This was the bands first show ever with Mark on vocals and if you missed it, You missed a great Show.

  • Accept 2010: All Killer, No Filler

by Kober on 5/10/10Gramercy Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Band played 2+ hours of an ideal mix of essential Accept metal from BttW, MH, R&W, OO and Breaker, as well as some treats from the new project and other. I was looking forward to hearing Love Child, but it was not to be.....Energy level was high since this was a sold out show and the band seemed to feel quite good about the event. I don't think anyone could have pulled off the vocals better than Mark did! (I've seen him a zillion times with Edgar Cayce at Birch Hill and always thought he'd be a good fit. )Everyone else sounded great too though I would have liked to hear a little more of Herman in the mix. The sound engineer could have fixed this...but it may be a matter of taste since the overall sound and mix was excellent. Wolf is a great lead player and showman and his prominence is not likely an accident. Before CD's, I always purchased records made out of vinyl. However, Peter Baltes explains in their Accept 2010 youtube video that the new album sounds like BTTW, MH and R&W were melted down into molten steel. That's consistent with how they sounded at Gramercy. In summary I'll buy the new CD asap based on what I heard at the show. The Gramercy venue has great sound and lighting as well as very cool vibe for hanging out. It's probably my preferred venue in NYC.

  • Accept was Great
