Accept is back...and better than ever!!!

by VZAMORALES on 5/10/10Gramercy Theatre - New York

I still can not believe what happened last night. The atmosphere was filled with energy and complete, unbound excitement. Mark Tornillo delivered a solid, strong performance that when I friend asked me how did Accept sound without Udo, I said "who's Udo?" (I love you Udo, but I have been faithful to what I saw). It was perfectly evident that Peter, Wolf and the rest of the band had a great time and chemistry on the stage.

    New cast old songs

by Mortu on 5/10/10Gramercy Theatre - New York

At first I was disappointed to learn that Udo is not returning, but the new singer's voice is similar enough to Udo's to bring back the spirit of old Accept. Noteworthy is the fact that lineup was almost exclusively from Metal Heart, Balls to the Wall and the Breaker. The songs from the upcoming album were also good. All in all, excellent.

    Accept IS Back!

by OSMH on 5/10/10Gramercy Theatre - New York

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! If you closed your eyes the years just faded away. 1985 definetely came back for a well deserved visit. Mark was the perfect choice for the front-man here. Wish you could have been there. If you were you know what I'm talking about. Overall a great night. And a Great Show .

    Accept are Back!

by djriffraff on 5/9/10Gramercy Theatre - New York

Molten Metal Meltdown! Original lead singer Udo Dirkschneider wanted no part of this Accept Reunion, so Mark Tornillo takes over as lead screamer and KILLS!!!!!! The rest of Accept were smiling ear to ear last night knowing they found a great frontman in Mark . The Gramercy Theater NYC felt like 1985 all over again last night and that's a great thing! Udo who???

    Accept! Fast as a shark!

by salpal1 on 5/9/10Gramercy Theatre - New York

Brought back memories of the 80's. Accept busted out one killer tune after another. Many I had forgotten about and sounded great, although if Udo was back singing would of completed the package. Mark Tornillo did a great job ( was waiting to hear Front Burner by T.T.) but wasn't exactly Udo. Princess of the dawn, great sing along song as was Balls to the wall, the finale. New stuff sounded great too, can't wait. Peter Baltes even busted out a bass solo that sounded awesome! Great job by all!! Accept is back!! Rob Dukes from Exodus even showed up, stood in front of me and asked me if he was blocking my view. Shook hands and told him I was a fan. Great night. Great venue. Not too loud either.

    accept= balls to the wall

by regdunlop on 5/9/10Gramercy Theatre - New York

great show band never sounded better with apologies to udo the band was very tight new singer marc tornillo dutifully handled the lead singing chores rarely missing a beat (there were a few miscues but give him a break it was his first live show with the band)wolf hoffman and peter baltes very solid as always, 2.5 hours of asskicking heavy metal, newer bands should be made to watch these guys in action and learn from them, the band played a good mix trying to cover all years of the band the new stuff sounded very good the new album should be a winner after seeing these show theres no doubt ACCEPT is back and in a big way

    15 Years Coming!

by ICE11720 on 5/9/10Gramercy Theatre - New York

After A 15 yr Break, Accept Comes Back With A New Front Man, Mark Tornillo, Sounding Just as Great As Ever. I Noticed The Bassist, Peter Baltes, Hanging Out Downstairs In the Lounge Area, Taking Pictures With Fans Piror To The Accept Set, Which Is Always An Extra Benefit. The Whole Band Put On A Great Show, Going On To Play 2 Encores, With A Setlist Including All Of Your Favorites (Neon Nights, Metal Heart, Balls To The Wall, Midnight Mover). Wolf Hoffman Was On My Side Of The Stage And Was Truely Getting The Fans Pumped. The Crowd Was Electric And The Sound Was Heavy, A Pure Metal Crowd Make My Stay Even More Enjoyable. Not To Mention The Fact That It Was The First Show Of Whats To Be A Classic Tour Thats Sure To Go Down In Metal History, Just Made The Evening Even Better.
