About
It's not often an artist like Aaron Cole comes along. With his incredible cadence and lyrical dexterity, the chart-topping Christian rapper, singer, and songwriter is proof that hard work and dedication can perfect your craft and make dreams come true. His exciting new full-length album, Sorry, I Changed on RCA Inspiration (which features the tracks "Have Your Way" and "I Love It"), slated for release this spring, is an epic and profound inspirational project full of self-reflection and spiritual growth. The album will garner new fans for the hip-hop artist and solidify those who have been there all along, appreciating his rhythmic flow and genius verses.
Born in Bristol, Virginia, Cole started rapping at 3 years old. It was at his father's bustling recording studio, where a young Cole attended nearly every session, taking everything in and rapping verses back to his father. His love of rap and gospel grew deeper day by day, and at just the age of 4, he broke into the industry, releasing his first album, Jesus Is the Rock, as an independent artist in 2003. By 12, Cole knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life be a Christian rapper. "I really honed into my craft and started rehearsing and writing songs every day. I started to develop myself and I grinded every day."
The hard work paid off because at 15, following a deal with Gotee Records (the label of renowned Christian artist TobyMac) and a move to Nashville, Cole released two albums, Not by Chance in 2017 and Two Up Two Down in 2019. The albums garnered three number-one hit singles on Billboard Christian charts (including "Right on Time"), two Dove Awards (he became the first hip hop artist to win New Artist of the Year in 2019), and a Stellar Award nomination. While other teens spent their formative years hanging out with friends or attending football games, Cole was touring the world with TobyMac on the Hits Deep Tour. It was a thrilling experience for Cole, one he wouldn't trade for anything.
