Friends and I have gone to this show for years--it's how we start our Christmas season. Peter, Mindi and Rick were over-the-top this year....hard to believe since the show is terrific each year!
This was my 2nd time seeing this show and I will be back for a 3rd time. All 3 musicians it their heart and soul into this wonderful concert!
From the first note A Peter White Christmas was thoroughly enjoyable. I've traveled to see Rick, my favorite trumpet player, but it is particularly nice to see him and the gang at the Birchmere. Great sound, intimate, good food… what's not to like. They seem to genuinely enjoy playing with one another and the interplay between them was lots of fun. The mix of their songs and Christmas music was seamless. The drummer - anybody know his name? - held down the groove and added his excellent vocal lead to Oh Holy Night and Silent Night. Mindy and Rick came into the audience and played for us exciting the listeners and getting everyone engaged. Excellent harmonies, flawless solo work, intricate unisons and the added pleasure of meeting and spending time with each of the artist made this a concert to remember.
The incredible talents of Peter White, Mindi Abair and Rick Braun come together for an unforgettable, cohesive tight show. With three great talents, you can not go wrong. Love the venue. Will make this an annual event.
Our second year in a row to attend this performance, and it did not disappoint. Peter White, Mindi Abair, Rick Braun are true professionals in their respective fields, and they know how to entertain. An excellent evening with my wife. Thank you!

Peter White, Mindi Abair and Rick Braun are incredible musicians and fun entertainers. They put on a tight, energetically and fun show. Classic Xmas songs and a few hits scattered in; all wrapped in great jazz. People of all ages were there and everyone had a good time. The Birchmere is a terrific venue, and the show was recorded for rebroadcast on Sirius XM!
First time seeing Peter White in a Christmas venue. We were amazed by this Wonderful concert. Along with Rick and Mindi it was spectacular,, (A MUST SEE). I purchased these tickets for a Birthday / Anniversary gift to the most WONDERFUL husband in the world. I Also want to say (The Balboa Theater is a very awesome Theater).. I highly recommend Croce's Restaurant for dinner.
It was an awesome experience. The theatre was comfortable and we liked the San Diego location downtown. Peter White was great, as usual and RickBraun was good, but Mindi Abair was phenomenal!!! We had never seen her perform, live or on TV. But her playing ability off the charts and she can sing. She has a lovely voice. We loved the way each interacted throughout the show. It was a blast! I almost forgot the drummer. What great voice. He was the surprise of the night!
The show was so much fun. Truly talented musicians. We are Peter White fans, but Mindi and Rick were amazing. I would go see their shows anytime. Even the drummer provided some great vocals... Silent Night was done beautifully.
While this was a good Christmas themed show, Mindy and Rick sang/played some of their hits. Peter only supported the other two and never played his hits, ESP. San Diego one of his big songs and while playing in San Diego. Did not feel ticket prices were worth what was played. Have been to a previous Christmas show at the Spreckles Theater which was better in content, sound at the Balboa was great.
Peter White is so incredibly talented, Rick Braun is awesome and Mindi Abair is fantastic ! Together they were outstanding - it was a very fun concert !!!!

Peter White and friends finished their tour in San Diego with a class act performance. Back up musicians were stellar. Fun evening for all.
First time and I thought it would be cool but not great. It was great. Braun, White, Abair put on a fantastic show.
I was very disappointed in the concert . Not enough Peter and WAY too much Mindi. She was just overbearing and trying to steal the show. I was really hoping to hear Peter play a whole lot more. Rick was amazing as usual but wanted more Peter. Silent Night was my favorite!

Peter White played a various selection of holiday music along with some of his well known smooth jazz hits. Rick Braun and Mindi Abair joined him with their horns to complete the wonderful show. The band with their talented bevy of musicians made the night a memorable event!
The show was so much fun for everyone and the music was great. Rick Braun is my favorite trumpet player, so I really came to see him. But he, Peter and Mindi have such a great time together (and it really shows) that the entire show was just a joy. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Now the surprise - I don't even like Christmas music in general. But that didn't stop me from having a great time and truly enjoying every minute of it. This was my second time seeing this trio for Peter White Christmas and I will definitely take the whole family again when they return.
