Can we get the sound issues fixed?

by Orrski on 3/29/18Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

I have been to the Fox Theatre a few times now, and find it sometimes good and sometimes lacking. This was one of the lacking times. The performances were good, with the dancing being the strongest part of the show. The sound tech was spotty at many instances, and this greatly distracts from the over impression of the show. It is after all, a musical, and I believe the most important part to get right. And especially because this is a wonderful score, with several beautiful musical moments, but if you can't understand the performers because you can't hear them, well....bummer. I would expect that with all of the amazing technology available today, these issues could be solvable. Oh, and hire a real orchestra, with more than a handful playing, or don't. Either use a great soundtrack, or spend the money for getting the real deal. The thinly scored substitute was a noble effort, but not making the grade.

    Chorus Line?

by FeliceSimpson on 3/28/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

The tickets weren't cheap but the singing was pretty bad. The couple of the cast who could sing did not out shine the many who could not. Some were down right bad. The dancing was good. But since I felt like I was at amateur night, why did I pay $50 for the cheap seats? This definitely should have cost less and I should have been able to be on the bottom floor.

    Disappointed in Chorus Line

by Kitty55 on 3/26/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

Dancing not the caliper I enjoyed when I first saw the show in Chicago. For this musical makes a difference. Also when solos the mics not on when singer started - happened several times. In first half had troubled understanding the words particularly in the songs. Good but not the quality I expected.

    Chorus Line

by lionp on 2/27/18The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater - Syracuse

We enjoyed the wonderful dancing and singing of the performers in this production. But, we were hurt to hear the Lord's name taken in vain. It was totally disrespectful to those who believe in the Christian religion. We have enjoyed the great entertainment you have provided in the past but hope that you would take this comment into consideration and respect all religious beliefs in the future. Thank you.

Fantastic show. Talent and quality of the show was equivalent to seeing the show on Broadway.

Ok production, but not appropriate for my 7 year old daughter, due to language and some content. At least a PG13 rating.

    Fabulous

by MaryLap83 on 2/21/18Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I bought the tickets as a Christmas gift for my sister. She loved it. She saw Chorus Line in New York and said it was great but a little different than broadway. We had a great time.

    Terrible road company

The show was pretty bad. It's amazing how a bad road company can ruin an otherwise fantastic show.

    Chorus Line needs to audition

by Zoshi on 2/20/18Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I normally love this show. Have been telling my daughter about it for years. But we were very disappointed with this production. Cast was out of breath during dancing/singing parts. Choreography was very simplified. Pitchy and nasally singing in parts. The end did not disappoint tho.

    Great Performance

by Redcard1955 on 2/20/18Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Fox theater is a great venue with polite efficient staff. The musical was performed very well. My wife (1st time) and I (2nd) were extremely impressed with the dancing and energy brought to the musical.

    Chorus Line

Excellent production. Brought my eleven year old granddaughter and I believe that she was a bit too young. We both loved the singing and dancing.
