THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF A BROOKLYN KID WHO BECAME A CHART-BUSTING, SHOW-STOPPING, AWARD-WINNING AMERICAN ICON

Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like "America," "Forever in Blue Jeans," and "Sweet Caroline," an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a GrammyÂŽ Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond's story was made to shine on Broadway-and head out on the road across America.

Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America's greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.

  • Great fun, usual Centennial Hall sound issues

    by Ron B on 6/30/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

I love this series of Nederlander national touring Broadway shows, cast was great, direction and choreography fun. Fabulous band (onstage). We saw the vacation swing Joe Caskey in the Young Neil lead role and he was very good as well. The sound is as always problematic in the ancient huge cavernous theater (BofA Centennial Hall), the music is fine but the spoken word is not. Sat in the 8th row because I anticipated that, but ever there it's easy to miss some of the dialogue. The hall and Arizona Arts kick the can and say it's the responsibility of the touring company but I imagine it's some of both, and that the biggest culprit is the venue itself. I've written to both Nederlander and Arizona Arts. Show was great, it's a shame it can't be presented perfectly.

  • My beautiful noise review

by Warrenb on 6/30/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

This is now my favorite play that I have attended. Now replacing Llon King. The actors were great and the singing right on. Would recommend this play to everyone one.

  • Broadway was better but great show nonetheless

by habsfan on 6/29/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

Saw this two years ago on Broadway and loved it! Great show but some band and some of the songs sung on Broadway was better. Great show nonetheless!

We got to sing along to Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline twice!!!!! Awesome and well produced musical. Thank you for bringing this musical to Tucson.

  • A Revealing Story, Great Music and An Amazing Band

by GeoR on 6/29/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

His music tells the story of his life; a life that was not always happy and positive. The cast was very good and the actor playing him sounded just like him. And the band was amazing. It was So Good, So Good, So Good!

  • Music was great. Loved the lead!

by WildcatOmi on 6/29/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

I think the music of Neil Diamond rocked. Did not like the choreography. Did not feel it interpreted the music at all. Seemed out of sync with the songs.

  • Fantastic Story and Performance

by TN Family on 6/28/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

WOW! what a performance, heart touching about Neil Diamond, cast and music was spot on. Only thing was venue in Tucson AZ, we were supposed to be let in 30 min prior to show, they were late to let people in. Not much standing room outside, then once inside, theater was not cool, seating also was dated. Once performance started, we enjoyed the show. Only after intermission did theater started to get a little cooler. I would recommend this presentation of a Beautiful Noise !

  • Fantastic!

This was even better than I had hoped for- it felt like we were at a Neil Diamond concert! Great show😊

  • Insightful story of a legend embedded with phenomenal music.

by Court on 6/28/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

As much as I have enjoyed Neil Diamond’s music, I was unaware of how close the lyrics were to his life. The play offers a view of the person behind the sequins. And then there is the incredible music which blends with the story. Well done!

  • Beautiful Noise, Literally

by Alyson on 6/28/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

So good, so good, so good!! I could see it again and again. The entire cast was amazing, but Nick Fradiani was spot on and Hannah Jewel Kohn is the icing on the cake.

  • great, Great, GREAT!

by Skybird on 6/27/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

I was enthralled to watch the Old and Now Neil and his mannerisms. Having seen Neil in many live concerts, the two Neil's NAILED his movements and how a fan pictures how Now Neil would take to counseling......quiet and provoking deed inside thoughts. I will see it again while it is in town. Skybird

  • Show was great venue needs major upgrades

    by Karen S on 6/27/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

Show was great. Venue needs upgrades. Seating chart showed ground level no stairs. There were stairs seats and rows very tight. Difficult for Hanicap people

  • Better than average

by ThePanther on 6/27/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

Event hall needs to open earlier. AC needs to be cooler. First act was more lively and entertaining. Second Act was too talkative and not enough Neil songs that HE SUNG. Too many sequence outfits. Stick to the basic black and let him do more body movement. Have the American flag as the background for song "They're Coming To America". Bottom line it was certainly worth the price of admission.

  • It was fantastic and the cast was unbelievable.

by Jclausen on 6/27/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was great and well lit. The cast and music were unbelievable. I clapped and shouted the whole time.

  • Awesome!

by Jorge on 6/22/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I knew the music was going to be awesome! I just didn’t know what to expect of the show. Let me just say, I did not disappoint! I took my father who’s is 75 years young and a helluva Neil Diamond fan. He even shed a tear listening to his youth being played on stage. I really had a great time listening some great music and watching my father enjoy “A Beautiful Noise”

  • Can't stop thinking about it!

by Beth M on 6/10/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I go to a lot of plays and this one is definitely in my top five of all time. The story is told in a compelling way, you instantly engage with the characters of Neil Diamond (in present time) and his therapist who walk the audience through his professional life, song by song. I was completely captivated by the younger version of Neil..couldn't place it until I looked it up and saw the actor/singer/musician Nick Fratiani won American Idol some years back. Wow, what a job he does! So fun to sing along with all the songs and a couple of them brought me to tears, especially the duet between the young and old Neils had me balling my eyes out. The entire cast is incredibly talented. Bravo!
