THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF A BROOKLYN KID WHO BECAME A CHART-BUSTING, SHOW-STOPPING, AWARD-WINNING AMERICAN ICON

Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like "America," "Forever in Blue Jeans," and "Sweet Caroline," an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond's story was made to shine on Broadway-and head out on the road across America.

Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America's greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.

  • Wonderful!

What a wonderful show!!! The songs were great and Nick Fradiani sounded just like Neil Diamond. Interesting story that so many of his songs were written about what he was going through in his life. Many of the songs I grew up with and was so much fun singing along to "Sweet Caroline".

Overall experience was entertaining, but I didn't experience the ecstatic energy that I was hoping for. My balcony seat was way too far away from the stage to feel any real emotions in the actors.

  • It was wonderful took me back to my teenage years

It is a MUST see The music was incredible and the singers and dancers were great

  • The best one ever!!!

by CJ on 6/4/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I was a ticket holder for 5 years and seen a lot of musicals, but I can honestly say I loved this one the best of all. The actor that played Neil Diamond was fantastic and sounded just like him I can't imagine how many people they had to interview to find him. He sang so many popular songs that was recognized. All the other actors and singers was just as great.

From Nick Fradian’s first note, we were hooked!! He did an absolutely amazing job personifying Neil Diamond. He sounded, moved, played guitar and looked like Neil! The whole production was so well put together. We enjoyed every minute!!

  • Too much stop and go

by I ought to be on Broadway on 6/4/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 3 out of 5

The young Neil Diamond singing was phenomenal, like hearing the real thing. However, the counseling sessions with the old Neil was SO SLOW. The back and forth between the two ruined the flow of the whole show. Like being stopped at a traffic light every block, after gaining momentum.

I loved every minute of the show. Tried to absorb every minute. The sound was wonderful didn't know what to expect having not seen a show like this before. The theater is beautiful and workers were so kind and helpful. So glad you have elevators.

My 85 y.o husband and I made it through the SD Rock and Roll Marathon traffic for the 1 PM show via 94E (for future reference) although a bit stop and go with traffic and red lights. Well worth the drive. The show concept was well organized with story telling and Neil Diamond's songs blending in to match parts of his life story. The sold out crowd was very enthusiastic joining in clapping and singing along as signaled to do from the stage. The band of 6 were fantastic, sounding like a full orchestra. If I read the flyer inside the program correctly, the understudy for the main role of Mr. Diamond was performing that day. He was fantastic and a few minutes into the singing, he sounded like the real Mr. Diamond on his recordings and live shows. The 3 lead female characters were great too in their roles as wife #1 and #2 and the Psychiatrist. The dancers/backup singers did a fantastic job too. My husband came home and has since been listening to Mr. Diamond's songs online daily. I would recommend this show to any fan of Mr. Diamond and the younger generation would appreciate the performance too.

  • Incredible!

What a wonderful experience! A Beautiful Noise was the best show/concert of any kind I've ever been to. It had it all: incredible singing, dancing, lighting, and (surprisingly) emotional storytelling/drama. A huge thank you to all of the talented cast and crew...and for Neil himself for allowing his life to be so exposed for our benefit!

Loved this informative, heartwarming and heartbreaking show. The music is outstanding and the audience is encouraged to sing along. Be ready to experience a range of emotions and leave with a full heart. Worth every penny!

We are tital Neil diamond fans and have seen him in person over twenty times. The lead sounded like Neil from the very first note he sang. The show revealed his life story and how events in his life shaped his music. All in all, a wonderful, entertaining evening.

  • Excellent show

by Cathy on 6/3/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

It was so good, and the actor that played Neil was so good, that I forget it wasn't Neil Diamond. I enjoyed every single minute.

  • Amazing!!,

by Di on 6/3/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

The lead performer, Nick Fradiani was perfect for the Neil Diamond role. The actresses who played his wives were also incredible! The choreography, dancing, sets, and music were unbelievably great! The only improvement I would suggest is having less of the sad parts and more of the upbeat songs.

  • Time Well Spent

by Casa29 on 6/3/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I am so thrilled that I took the afternoon to sit and revel in the life story of an Artist that is the soundtrack of so many lives, including mine. To know the human side of such an extraordinary song writer and performer was a generous gift to all who come to see this production. Very well done. I’m still going over it in my head days later.

  • A very memorable musical

by Vicki U on 6/3/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Best 2 1/2 hours I have spent doing anything, in a long time! The story, the music and the individual performances were stellar. I don’t usually see a musical more than once but this one will be my first.

  • Best Ever!!

by Mgood on 6/3/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was awesome. I loved the main characters. If I closed my eyes, it was as if I was listening to Neil himself. The ensemble was amazing as well. It was eye opening on how sad Neil was/is which moved him to write such moving songs. Loved Loved Loved.
