THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF A BROOKLYN KID WHO BECAME A CHART-BUSTING, SHOW-STOPPING, AWARD-WINNING AMERICAN ICON

Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like "America," "Forever in Blue Jeans," and "Sweet Caroline," an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond's story was made to shine on Broadway-and head out on the road across America.

Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America's greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.

This production is right up there with some of the best I've seen. High quality and very entertaining.

  • Best show I've seen in a very long time!

    by Mel H on 7/2/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

This show was an unexpected pleasure. The unexpected aspect was exactly how the play unfolded. The music of course, was phenomenal as for the performers! It was an unexpected emotional journey for me as I lived many aspects of that life as well... i intend to see it again when it comes back to town 😉

  • Top Notch

by JB on 7/2/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

A Beautiful Noise delivers a vibrant celebration of Neil Diamond’s iconic music, with high-energy performances and an engaging narrative structure. The acting throughout was strong, and the music—unsurprisingly—was fantastic, with each number capturing the spirit of Diamond’s legendary career. Particularly impressive was the vocal performance of the young Neil Diamond lead. His voice was spot-on, often indistinguishable from the real Neil Diamond, which added an authentic layer to the show. However, while his singing was exceptional, his acting fell a bit short. He often appeared uncomfortable on stage, and his portrayal lacked the emotional depth and confidence needed to fully bring the character to life. Despite this, the show overall is a must-see for Diamond fans and musical lovers alike. The ensemble cast, production value, and, of course, the music make A Beautiful Noise a compelling night on Broadway.

Friendly, helpful staff, great seats and a fabulous show! Just squint your eyes a little and you were at a Neil Diamond concert! A concert but between songs, you got the story of Neil’s life. Tears to cheers. And the whole building rocked “Sweet Caroline”!

The lighting, acting and the singing were incredible!, the choreographed dancers were great! And the band was really nice and loud, truly a beautiful noise! together they all told the story of Neil Diamond

  • I loved it, of course.

by Cyndi on 7/1/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the format of an old man reviewing his life. Nick Fradiani was believable as Neil, I loved every minute of him. The backup singers, dancers and band were great. I will never hear Cherry, Cherry again without thinking of Hannah Jewel Kohn. The duet of Nick Fradiani and Robert Westenberg singing I am I Said was intense and moving. And finally, Kate Mulligan rocks!

  • Deeply Emotional Trip

by Caryn on 7/1/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

So much of Neil’s personal story aligned with my personal experiences. It felt like I was on the personal journey with him and his family for both the highs and lows. This was the best musical I have seen. And, I got to share it with my adult children who were raised on Neil’s music. Many more special memories were made on this night.

  • A Must See Show

I grew up with Neil Diamond music and thought this would be a nice surprise to take my wife. It is in my top 5 Broadway shows. It surprised me with his story and music done so well. This was a best entertainment experience!

  • Just Beautiful!

by Emma on 7/1/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

I found A Beautiful Noise both poignant and nostalgic. From the moment the singing began, I was deeply moved. The story felt genuine and heartfelt, a true reflection of Neil Diamond’s life and legacy. As a longtime fan, I felt both seen and connected. I truly love Neil Diamond, and this show was a beautiful tribute to his music and journey.

  • Fun, but understudy for lead lacked acting skills

by WB on 7/1/25Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 3 out of 5

Beautiful Noise is touring with the Broadway cast, with cast substitutions as needed, of course. I attended a June 2025 performance in Tucson. Those of us who entered the theater thru the side entrances were not informed- (either thru lobby signage or program insert like those who entered via the main entrance)- that the main lead actor playing Neil Diamond was being played by an understudy. So imagine my surprise when the lead appeared and it wasn't Nick Fradiani, but an inexperienced young actor (his bio states local/regional theater only), who sincerely lacked stage presence and acting skills. I do admit that he had a wonderful singing voice and did a good job sounding like Neil when singing. I certainly understand cast substitutions during a long tour, but please substitute with someone with more Broadway skills, espec if I have to pay those ticket prices. The rest of the cast were talented, espec the actors who played Marcia Murphey and Ellie Greenwich. The play itself is a fun and touching jukebox musical. And I appreciated learning more about Neil's life, including his demons and regrets. Makes you appreciate his music and talent even more.
