THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF A BROOKLYN KID WHO BECAME A CHART-BUSTING, SHOW-STOPPING, AWARD-WINNING AMERICAN ICON

Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like "America," "Forever in Blue Jeans," and "Sweet Caroline," an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond's story was made to shine on Broadway-and head out on the road across America.

Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America's greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.

  • Frantically Stupendous

by Nancy Hanks on 9/10/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The entire show: production, cast, musicians, settings and principals told a clear and convincing story of Neil’s life. His bravery in putting it out there is to be commended. The way his music was presented told the story and made the lyrics more meaningful to me. I had seen him in concert early in his career and this brought unexpected clarity. I would watch it over and over and over again…

The singing and choreography was fabulous and full of energy intertwined with a story of emotional challenges.

  • Excellent show

One of the best shows I’ve attended at Chrysler Hall & I’ve been season ticket holder for years. All the actors were outstanding.

  • Certainly is a BEAUTIFUL NOISE!

The show was EXCELLENT! Born & raised in Brooklyn, New York myself and always listening to Neil Diamond albums and attending quite a few concerts, I was amazed to learn so much about his personal life, I had no idea about. To learn the inspirations behind the songs we always loved was heartfelt. In all the years I’ve been a fan, I never knew anything about his life, other than we were born and raised in the same borough of NY. My husband and I totally enjoyed the show. Our seats were affordable and Chrysler Hall is a great venue.

  • Amazing show

by Betty on 9/9/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The Neil Diamond show "A Beautiful Noise"was wonderful! As a longtime fan of Diamond, who has attended a number of his concerts, I found this show entertaining, informative, and authentic to the singer. Reading Neil's letter telling about why he chose Bob Gaudio to compose and produce this show gave validity to facts that were presented about the singer's life. Totally enjoyable!

  • Entertaining and fun all around

We went to a 2 in the afternoon matinee. Easy access through parking garage, professional service people, excellent center seats in Dress section of audience. The pays was very well done. Lived the witty dialogue and of course the music.

  • Great show but…

by LP on 9/9/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 4 out of 5

This is a wonderful show that is a must see. I have seen it several times and it doesn’t get old at all. The cast is great overall always bringing the energy. My only disappointment is that there was a substitute for Nick. He is so very very good at it, that I am disappointed by the sub. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I wish there was a way to know ahead of time when he isn’t performing, unless a last minute thing, and you could exchange the ticket for another day. I hate traveling to other cities to see him only to be disappointed. My friend who hadn’t seen it loved it, but she would have loved it even more with Nick.

by KpVB on 9/8/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best Broadway Norfolk shows to come to town. The mix of the storyline and singing was perfect. Really made you understand a lot more about the music. Joe Caskey was absolutely fantastic.

  • “Cracklin’ Brilliance"

by Mimi on 9/8/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

It’s not just a jukebox musical—it’s a glittering tribute that sings out joy, pain, and the beautiful noise of a life well lived. The voices soar, the staging dazzles, the dancers exude energy, and the spirit of Neil pulses through every beat. Even the audience gets to partake with"Sweet Caroline."

  • Incredible show!

Everything was super smooth from parking, to entering, to concessions, to getting to our seats. Then we were blown away by the performance! The singers were spot on! The artist playing Neil Diamond was superb! The cast was great and it was really fun! And excellent night out!

  • Best show ever

  • Certainly A Beautiful Noise!!

    by fpguy1999 on 9/7/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

First off, fifth row seats were NOT too close! Secondly, the show does NOT have Neil Diamond himself in it (as some people sitting around us thought)! Thirdly, the show was PHE-NOM-I-NAL!! When the curtain went up, there were two chairs...one with an older man and the other with a lady. Now, go to the show and see for yourself what happens!! The music, performers, outfits, lighting, overall sound and the sing-along were FANTASTIC!! I have to say that it was the BEST BROADWAY SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN (and I have seen a few)!! It makes me want to get season passes for the other shows!! You do not have to like Neil Diamond music...but YOU WILL by the time you leave the theater. This show was better than "so good...so good...so good"!! IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!

  • Excellent story about Neil Diamond

by Hpc on 9/7/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

This telling of Neil’s life is so nicely done with his songs. The positive story told through a mental health session is very powerful and beautiful. A must see show!

  • Fantastic!

by Cat on 9/7/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The singer put you back in time to listening to Neil. The singing and dancing were exceptional. Learned alot about Neil’s life that I didn’t know.

  • Absolutely wonderful.

by Scottc on 9/6/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was stellar from our seats to the confetti and ultimately the actual performance. True talented cast. The lead singer sounded very much like Neil Diamond. The dancers and musicians also spectacular. Would see this same show over and over again.

  • It was just as good as when I saw it in DC

by Tjmbear on 9/6/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

I actually thought it started a little bit slow with the songs and the plot. Then the tempo and the music and the plot took off. Remembering all the wonderful concerts that we saw over the years. It is sad to know we will never see a live Neil Diamond concert again. It was fun after the intermission to sing out loud. Seeing the whole audience, stand and clap and sing at the end was marvelous. I appreciated the encores.

  • Great story

The story line was excellent and the vocals were very good. Truly enjoyed the performance.
