THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF A BROOKLYN KID WHO BECAME A CHART-BUSTING, SHOW-STOPPING, AWARD-WINNING AMERICAN ICON

Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like "America," "Forever in Blue Jeans," and "Sweet Caroline," an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond's story was made to shine on Broadway-and head out on the road across America.

Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America's greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.

  • Wonderful show!

by TT on 10/8/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed the show. An interesting story and great music. We highly recommend it.

  • A nice tribute to the Neil Diamond songs.

by smitty on 10/7/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

The songs were good, but show did not meet expectations. The choreography was uninspired, the sound (singing and dialogue) too loud and brash, the storyline was lame. The acting was overall pretty good. The second wife was the best--acting, singing, energy, and overall passion. We were very disappointed that this came from a Broadway show. The performance of Cabaret at the Guthrie Theater this summer was 10 times better, and Beautiful, at the Chanhassan Theater last season, also 10 times better.

  • Dancing and storyline

by Francine on 10/7/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

The dancing and singing were phenomenal. The storyline dragged quite a bit, especially at the end.

  • Spectacular!

    by Laura K on 10/7/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Holy cow.. what can I say? This production was amazing: the background players, the main characters, the music (duh) and the lead actor. So much talent on one stage! The guy playing the young Neil sounded so much like him, it was a little spooky! The minimal set/props really brought the story and music forward to be the focus. This play wasn't just a 'musical by Neil Diamond'. It was a beautiful farewell to an era, a warm "I'm okay with it"from a man I have adored for 50 years. If you are a Neil Diamond fan, you should definitely see this, and embrace it. If you're not a Neil Diamond fan, go anyway, for the music.

  • Gift of new understanding of Neil Diamond

by CP Twin Cities on 10/6/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Extremely well composed expose through the eyes of reflection by Neil Diamond brought in depth meaning to the music via many talented singers, actors, dancers and narrators. Had no idea the beauty and monster ND created as he struggled with mental health issues. Told through narration by current ND as we watched the ND navigate from youth to icon. Reminded me of Billy Joel’s story told through Moving On. Both so well written, brought to the stage and deftly delivered. This production flowed so well! No lulls or time to mentally drift away. Commanded my attention and physically moving with the music. Would highly recommend this production to all ages. A study in creativity, human fragility and living with purpose! Just outstanding

  • A jukebox musical that actually works

by Thomas on 10/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I’m not a fan of jukebox musicals, but enjoyed this one. All of the leads were perfectly casted, and I’m still thinking about Marcia’s solo. I loved the ensemble’s energy and frequent costume changes. I was impressed by how seamlessly it went from intimate to big hits. I appreciated getting to see the live band, though I wish we got to see them a little more throughout the show! The only thing I didn’t like was when they encouraged audience engagement. It wasn’t a big deal nor was it overdone. Honestly, it makes sense why they’d do it, but personally, I just want to watch the show. I didn’t pay to hear someone sing off key and clap to a different beat. But overall, it was amazing! I’d recommend, learned a lot, and never got bored.

  • Super Duper!

by MarleneS on 10/6/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

The music of Neil Diamond and the story of his life touched my inner soul. Everyone especially Nick performed with such energy and passion; incredibly talented performers. However, there was too much foul & vulgar language spoken. All the bad, offensive language tarnished the grandeur of the music, story, and quality of the performance. When I saw Beautiful Noise in Boston, there was absolutely no foul/vulgar language in the whole event. How sad that someone thought it was o.k. to do that. Presenting Neil Diamond's story should be the best of the best with eloquence, shine, and polish & not diminish it with foul language.

  • FANTASTIC!

by Trish on 10/6/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely fantastic! An amazing story of what a musical genius Neil Diamond is. The acting was also incredible! I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could!

  • Absolutely FANTASTIC!

by Nancy on 10/6/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

A Beautiful Noise is probably the VERY BEST show I have ever attended, besides Lion King. It was a show that had you crying, laughing, engaging with the entertainers, and becoming very involved in all that was going on. The entertainers were perfect, Nick Fradiani is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for this show, he performed just like Neil Diamond. It was breathtaking from the moment the curtain rose to when the curtain came down. I will definitely go again and have told others about this production.

  • So Good

by Wheels Nordeast on 10/5/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Enjoyed the story, arrangements, encouraged audience participation and enthusiasm of the cast.

  • A special performance.

by Karno on 10/5/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Talented group and fun to hear all the songs. Hard to hear some of the spoken word. Our seats were quite far back, however. It was a tribute to Neil Diamond. Singing Seeet Caroline got the audience pumped.

  • So fun! Mom would have loved it.

    by Mom's favorite on 10/4/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Loved it! Thought of mom many times. She would have been singing along just like she used to do while doing Saturday morning house cleaning. Neil was her favorite!

  • Amazing

by LoraDora on 10/4/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

A Beautiful Noise was a wonderful production by some very talented actors and actresses. It included every memorable song done by Neil Diamond and portrayed a great story about Neil Diamond. I liked the young and the old Neil on stage together. Very well done. And of course the venue is awesome. I love the Orpheum Theatre.

  • Neil Diamond's timeless music warms the heart.

    by Long-Time Fan on 10/3/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Emotional heart-felt story and musical production. Great song choices tied to the story line of Neil Diamond's life. I still have the songs playing in my mind days later. Unfortunately, a technical difficulty created a delay in the second half of the show that took over half an hour. I would still highly recommend the show. It was fitting to end the night with "Sweet Caroline". A crowd pleaser like after an Iowa State University football home game.

  • Neil Diamond

by Kd on 10/3/25Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

It was difficult to hear some of the people, Neil Diamond sounded just like Neil Diamond! I felt the dancers overall were a B some of them were in A.

  • Wonderful Cast and Musical

by Neil Jr. on 9/11/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 4 out of 5

The musical was very moving. There were a lot of emotions put into each song which made every song come alive. There were parts of his life I did not know about until I saw the musical. I couldn't understand some of the lyrics and spoken words of a few of the characters and missed some of the meaning, but the overall point of the musical came across very well. I would see it again if it ever comes back. Great event!

  • Fantastic Show

by VaBeachLady on 9/11/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing show. I took my parents (88 and 80 years old) and they also raved about the show. Great music, great actors and the band was terrific. I would go see it again, it was that good.

  • Fantastic

by Mimi on 9/11/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

There wasn’t anything or anyone that wasn’t fabulous. The only thing bad was it ended too soon

  • A beautiful experience!

by A forever fan! on 9/10/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a Neil Diamond fan since the beginning! The performance brought his story to life through his music! It was a great tribute to Neil and I hope to see it again!

  • Waste of time & money!

by Marcy on 9/10/25Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 2 out of 5

First, this auditorium is in serious need of updating! Secondly, I have seen many theatrical productions in my life, but this one was a huge disappointment! It was so bad, we actually left at intermission. Shows like this should have lots of energy and outstanding performances, but it didn’t. All the actors were just “going through the motions”! Wish I could get my money back!
