Washington Mystics History
The Washington Mystics are a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Since their introduction in 1998 as one of the WNBA’s first expansion franchises, the Mystics have topped the Eastern Conference twice and won the WNBA Finals in 2019. The team was led in their early seasons by multi- season rebounding champion Chamique Holdsclaw and four-time All-Star Alana Beard. They reached their first Finals in 2018 behind the play of two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne. Washington returned to the Finals in 2019, winning a thrilling 3-2 series against the Connecticut Sun and delivering D.C. its first professional basketball title since 1978. Delle Donne won her second career MVP in 2019 while shooting the WNBA’s only 50-40-90 season, and teammate Natasha Cloud was named the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

Great game with great seats! There's not a bad seat in the building!
I had a wonderful time the stadium seating was great. The fans were very friendly. It was very easy to get into the stadium as well as departure. The atmosphere during the game was incredible. The announcer and his interaction with the fans. It was definitely something that I will do again.
The basketball game i attended was awesome everything about it was great and above all we got a monster victory i was be at many more even thinking of becoming a season ticket holder for next season
I had a great time at the game. Awesome experience from start to finish. Best basketball out there - the WNBA needs to expand the league! Top rate support - security, parking, and concessions.
Watching the mystics play is always a treat the arena is new and intimate. I’ve had tickets in almost every section and I haven’t found a bad seat yet. This arena is a win for DC and a win for women’s basketball.
The arena was clean, had good concessions that were appropriately costed for a sporting event, and the Mystics may have lost but we had a great time. Support the WNBA y'all, the games are quality!
It was great! My seats were great and the game was 🔥.
Our night out at the Mystics game was pure magic! Parking was easy, entry was quick and the food and merch options were plentiful. We were entertained the entire time, from dancing pandas to quality play on the court. Would recommend.
Great process with purchase, notifications and usage at the event.
Awesome establishment. Always a welcoming vibe. Never have any issues. Security is fast the lines are never long. The restrooms are always clean. The team is welcoming and full of energy !
The game was incredible but, the concessions are not worth it! Food was cold and tasted like cafeteria food.
Great experience. Easy $1 senior Metro ride with free Sunday parking. Good cardio walk to arena. Great view, good game, very good fries, easy bathroom access. I'll do it all again.
The Mystics are the best sports value in DC. The team is talented, fun, and social justice oriented. The stadium is great (except for the food, which stinks) and there isn't a bad seat in the house. The level of play in the WNBA has improved greatly in the 26 years since it debuted.
The Washington Mystics put on an exciting and eventful show that felt like more than a game. The atmosphere is electric, the fans are into it. Great music, great vibes! Go check out a Mystics game.
GREAT GAME GREAT SEATS PARKING STAFF WAS EXCELLENT! FOOD PRICES VERY HIGH, I PLACED BBQ ON MY HOT DOG BY MISTAKE AND I WAS GIVEN ONLY A COLD BUN AS REPLACEMENT.
I went with my boyfriend (both 25 y/o) and the atmosphere was INCREDIBLE! It’s the best sporting event I’ve been to in DC by far. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, supportive, and give the mystics their ALL. I couldn’t have had a better time.
Really enjoyed the entire atmosphere for the game.
Nice venue, great game, lots of fun, would recommend.
One of the best experiences I've had in a while! Well organized, clean facility and friendly staff! Graphics were amazing, full of fun and energy. This was by far better than the last game I attended! The crowd was entertaining and to top it off, we got the WIN! I love my DC sports teams!😍
Everything was wonderful except for the ushers who are rude and disrespectful to patrons. It’s unfortunate because the team is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. For ushers to be rude and disrespectful to patrons is unacceptable. It’s the same case at Capital One Arena. Take a page out of Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Spectrum Center on how to treat patrons with respect as gracious hosts.
