Amazing building. Excellent tour guide. Met a beautiful Rockette who was charming and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Amazing journey into this magnificent theater's past and present. Gorgeous Art Deco design with details everywhere. Knowledgeable guide shared the historic significance of the theater from the artistic and technical aspects. And we had the opportunity to meet, chat with and have a photo op with an actual Rockette!
First, hats off to our guide Gary! He made the tour worth while! Thanks. Having visited Manhattan numerous times, avoiding “touristy” thing we decided that taking in such things was now necessary. The backstage tour, again thanks to our guide, was fun, exciting and full of information about the history and operations of the theatre. This is a must see tour for anyone with interest in music, architecture and theatre. Lastly, the reasonable price makes it a great “to do” when in town! MS (ps I am not related in any way to our guide Gary. He just made the tour that much better!)
We have been fortunate to have visited NYC many times including three Christmas Spectaculars, Had never been aware of this tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and approachable who provided us with new insights into this one of a kind venue. Only caution is that the number of stairs to climb were a "push" for a member of our group with mild mobility limitations.
We gave the oportunity to see the back stage that it is no always available and we have the surprise to fet introduced to one of the Rocky girls. It was so nice.
We weren’t sure what to expect for this event, just wanted to take a chance on it. We truly enjoyed our tour. The guide Jerry has so much love for Radio City Music Hall and it absolutely came through during his time with us. He really pulled us in and made it a fascinating experience. Thank you!
Did this tour on a girls trip to NY. Really enjoyed our tour and our guide, Gary. He was enthusiastic and knew a lot! We even got to meet a Rockette.
The guide was very precise an entertaining. Sadly the lighting of the theater auditorium is not what showing in the advertising, very poor and dismal. We were not allowed to approach the stage to see the auditorium from that point (always one of the best views of any theater) because "something is always going on on a theater" .... just only two guys vacuuming the carpet fifty feet away. A little disappointment. This is not a stage tour. You can see the same just attending any concert.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide did not only provide us with loads of insights and inside facts about RCMH, he also turned doing so into a fun and entertaining performance. Meeting an actual Rockette was certainly the highlight, especially for my daughter, who is a huge fan. We both left starry-eyed and recommend this tour to anyone interested in the Radio City Music Hall and the Rockettes.
Loved this. Easy app to buy and access tickets. Tour very informative and interesting. Pictures opportunity with a Rockettes a plus!! Highly recommended, specifically r8ght before your show. Got escorted to our seats without the line hassle.
An interesting and informative tour of the iconic Radio City Music Hall. Well worth your time!
Amazing tour, informative, interesting, beautiful, stunning!!
All around outstanding! Thank you to our excellent tour guide and the Rockette who answered all our questions! So very much valued and appreciated!
The leader of our tour group was attentive and seemed to be knowledgeable about the history of the venue. It was a pleasure being able to meet a Rockette (Johanna) and to ask her questions. It was very special being able to take a picture with her! She was delightful and represented the Rockettes in the most positive manner possible! I would highly recommend this tour!
Of course I was excited to take this tour because of the opportunity to meet a Rockette, I learned a lot about the history of the building that they call home. I loved learning about the design and architecture, and seeing the elegance of the small details. Do I care that comedians, musical artists, and other performers put on shows here? Not particularly. But the building itself is historic and just magical. Our tour guide Katelyn was really good, chatty, and did a great job of keeping our group together and on track. Meeting Mary, a Radio City Rockette, was truly a pleasure. She was very warm and personable, and it was very kind of her to take time from her busy day before a performance to meet and chat with us. It was a once in a lifetime experience.
It was amazing! The rich history of the theater itself was very interesting. Meeting a Rockette was the highlight, especially for my daughter who is a dancer and was encouraged to audition.
It was nice to see Radio City without all the crowds of people and learn about the history of the theatre. But I thought we would get to see the auditorium from the first floor and we only got to briefly sit in the balcony so we really didn't get to see it from every angle. We also didn't get to see the stage up close which was disappointing. I thought they would take us back stage but they didn't. We only saw the main lobby from up above and did not get to walk through it. There was also a lot of climbing through the back stairwells which wasn't too interesting. We got to see the private apartment of the original executive director of the hall, so that was neat but beyond that, it was just an ok tour.
The Happy Hour Tour was amazing! Our tour guide Melissa was a tiny ball of energy that knew a lot of details about the building and very patient to show us around and answer questions. I felt amazed by the level of access we got, from meeting a Rockette, to seeing the mechanics beneath the stage, to seeing the Rockettes audition room, to seeing celebrity dressing rooms, and to top it all off, hanging out on center stage looking out at all the audience seats. What a thrill! Highly recommended!
I loved the show from the beginning to the end. The story line , santa's and the nativity. The fantastic dance numbers by the Rockettes. So much work is put into each of those dances. I was so happy to hear Christian Christmas songs being sung and danced to. I loved the live nativity. I just loved that you are not changing your show to appease others who might object to it. I will be going again for sure...maybe every year! Thanks for all the hard work.
Excellent tour. There was a performance of the Christmas Story going on so we were able to see a few minutes of that from one of the private viewing areas on the top floor. You see a lot of the history of the building. Lots of walking and quite a few steps. Met and talked with a current Rockette and had our picture taken with her.
