ST. VINCENT IN CONCERT:
Possessing a rare combination of art-school appeal and mainstream accessibility, St. Vincent's Annie Clark is well on her way to full blown pop stardom. From her collaborations with David Byrne and Sufjan Stevens to her acclaimed work as St. Vincent, Clark has demonstrated an unbridled creativity and commitment to pop experimentation, making her a favorite with fans and critics alike. Her recordings may be stunning, but it's her talents as a performer that really make Clark stand out — taking the stage in an architectural gown, Clark's otherworldly movements and ethereal vocals are the stuff of legend, making her 2014 tour dates a must for any fan of true avant-pop spectacle.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Oklahoma, Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent, took up the guitar at age 12, going on to play in her high school's jazz band as a teenager. After spending three years at Boston's Berklee College of Music in the early '00s, Clark dropped out to pursue real-world musical experience, joining the Polyphonic Spree for their European tour. In 2006, she left the band to join Sufjan Steven's touring band, beginning to record as St. Vincent the same year. Her 2007 debut album Marry Me received praise for its intricate arrangements and unexpected compositional twists, paving the way for the success of 2009 sophomore effort Actor, a Top 10 hit on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart. With the early-2014 release of her fifth album, Clark once again drew unilateral praise from critics, cracking the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and embarking on an international headlining tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
" Even better live than on her albums, St. Vincent lit up the Fox. It was an awesome mashup reminiscent of Bowie, Mercury and Gaga. I loved it, and will be back for more."
"Gorgeous songs, surprising choreography, enchanted excitement. I urge anyone who loves sophisticated pop to see this show."
"Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Great playing, awesome sound, killer production aesthetics and an overall great SHOW. St. Vincent and her band are kicking butt and taking names."

10/10 Amazing performance and charisma. Annie and the band were amazing
The band and the lead singer are great. The light show is fantastic. Well worth the money!
She is amazing, great show! The comedian first was a little weird as it was unexpected.
Anne is such an amazing artist and she definately knows how to put an amazing band together. What a great show!
was able to score second row, annie put on an incredible show. she’s truly so talented and i had a wonderful time. can’t wait to see her again !!
Annie Clark and her band are truly an unforgettable ensemble. The music. The energy. The atmosphere. The show was absolutely incredible!
The house was rocked, shaken, and burned down. This was the best show I've been to so far, stage set up wise. It radiated major Talking Heads Stop Making Sense vibes. The music was incredible. Annie Clark is a fantastic guitarist, and the entire band was on fire as well. It was one of those shows where the audience and the artist were perfectly in tune with each other. St. Vincent, please come back to Nashville soon!
She came to rock, and blew our minds, again. Band is playing tight together. Hope we get another show here soon
I have seen St Vincent three times in the past, all great shows. I should never have bought tickets. I'm just not ready to go to a crowded concert yet. I never had COVID and I'm vaccinated with booster. Sorry, Annie!
Absolutely one of the best shows I’ve seen in many years. Like Prince in his prime. An incredibly engaging and amazing show from start to finish.
They were able to expedite check in with vax card and ID before entey into venue. Outstanding service and everyone was courteous and friendly!
Simply amazing. Annie plays ever song with the energy of the last song in a stadium set. Also loved that she reworked some of her older material to fit the vibe of the new album. Very clever to have standup comedy as the opening act.
The Fillmore was the perfect venue for this funky trip back to rock n roll's heyday of the 1970's. St. Vincent held the stage from the start and never let it go. An amazing performance.
While Annie Clarks musical chops were on full display and did not disappoint, the 70s era persona she inhabits particularly the somewhat patronizing interplay with the audience, was sometimes a distraction. She even tossed a hanky or two into the audience that seemed contrived. We took several guests not really familiar with her work who were really perplexed by it. Its took a while to get into the Motown-like sound of her new album as its so distant from the decade of performances before it, but both Ms Clark and her singers sang great. While Detroit was her last venue so I'm sure fatigue had set in, the last 3-4 songs including the encore were so somber that our two 30 something guests left before the concert ended.
Amazing show! She is a fantastic artist. I cannot wait to see her again. Go Annie! Always do you!
St. Vincent is Awesome ! Her voice is amazing, her guitar playing is rock solid, her songs are Funky, fun & cool, and her band is Spectacular ! DON'T miss the opp. to see her !
…if only they’d have played a multiple (pick any number) night run of shows that I absolutely would’ve bought tix for, could I even possibly have been more blissed out— please keep this extremely crack band lineup and come back asap💜
St Vincent of course was spectacular and the Wang of course amazing unfortunately we had an extremely rude Usher who yelled at us to put our Masks on we are not from Boston and had shown our vax card and passed by five Usher's including at the entry to the theater, none of them told us it was a mask mandate we are completely for mask mandates and vaccination shows but the rudeness of the Usher was uncalled fo Also the sound was bad we couldnt hear her wonderful lyrics over the guitar
Didn’t know St Vincent’s stuff that well in advance and now I can say I am a convert. Incredible spectacle and performance. Annie Clark is a bona fide genius. Mind blown.
