About

A major punk band for over two decades, Social Distortion came out of Los Angeles's active hardcore scene of the late '70s and early '80s. Their first album, Mommy's Little Monster, appeared in 1983 and featured the song "Another State of Mind," which aired as one of a few punk videos on mid-'80s MTV. Since then, Social Distortion have further developed their mix of punk and rockabilly with such songs as "Ball and Chain," "Bad Luck" and "Reach for the Sky." To this day, Social Distortion remain one of punk's most exciting and vital bands. Over the course of their career, Social Distortion have brought many venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and the Mission Ballroom.

Bands were great sound in the venue not so much

by Jeannie on 5/9/24The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

Both bands were amazing and the energy throughout the show contagious but the sound system was having serious issues. You could tell that both band singers were having sound trouble too. I left the venue with my ears ringing and I was located on the balcony I can't imagine how it was for the people who did ga. This was my first time at the venue I was really disappointed in the sound quaint hoping it will be better for godsmack.

    What a night!

by JWeber on 5/8/24The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I saw the Social D/Bad Religion tour in Philly on 5/5/24. To start things off Mike’s son Julian’s bad Love Crimes started things off and held their own! Bad Religion hit the stage next, and they never disappoint. Great set list of a mix of old and new. They sounded great. Lastly, Social D took the stage and just like BR, sounded great and had an awesome set list of old and new. Mike sounded great, considering what he’s been through lately, and for him to do this tour and kill it shows what a warrior he is! Overall it was a great night of great bands!

    Mike Ness still kicks butt

by Really, Really Good Show on 5/8/24The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I expected an all together different experience than the last time I saw Social D at the City Gardens in '89, but it was thoroughly enjoyable, just in different way. Mike was awesome, and I actually got a tear in my eye after his monologue before his son joined him on stage. Seems sincerely grateful to be alive and kicking and doing what he loves.

    very mediocre

by Artie on 5/8/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New York

playing 1 10 minutes doesnt cut it, and if you are on a limited set list, why play covers and weak old songs. his voice was challenged but that was understandable but the tempo was about 1/2 beat slow. Ive seen Social d well over 10 times and this was the second worse show hands down!

    Excellent show

by S.D. fan 4 life on 5/7/24The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

The venue was really nice. Social Distortion sounded amazing (as usual). Bad Religion co-headlined, never heard them play before but would absolutely see them again. The opening band was Lovecrimes, I have never heard of them. They have a similar style and sound as Social Distortion and they were great as well. Definitely a great show 10/10.
