Red Hot Chilli Peppers on Tour
To many, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers are more than just a Los Angeles rock band from the '80s -- they're musical pioneers who took the world by storm with their eclectic blend of funky, alternative punk rock laced with hip-hop that sounded unlike anything anyone had heard before. The band first formed in Los Angeles in 1983 and quickly gained a following large enough to sell 300,000 copies of their debut self-titled album. Over the next few years, the band experimented with different musical genres and went through lineup changes, proving themselves to be one of the most innovative and resilient rock groups in recent history. In 2022, the Grammy-winning band released Unlimited Love -- their 12th studio album and first one with original guitarist John Frusciante since 2006's Stadium Arcadium. Celebrating the release of the new album, the band hit the road for a global tour featuring all four original members -- vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and Frusciante. Be sure to see this legendary ensemble back in action performing classic hits and new songs by grabbing tickets to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in a city near you today.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers Live in Concert
In 1987, Red Hot Chili Peppers were named Band of the Year by LA Weekly, but the band really hit their stride with their fourth album, 1989's Mother's Milk, which cracked the Billboard 200 and went gold a year later. The RHCP had earned worldwide recognition by the time they dropped Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991). The album reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and the album's first single, "Give It Away," took off like wildfire, soaring to the top of the charts and eventually winning the band a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal in 1993. The album also featured the single "Under the Bridge," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 -- their highest-charting single to date. To promote what some might call the Red Hot Chili Peppers' magnum opus, 1991's Blood Sugar Sex Magik, three of the era's biggest bands -- Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam -- joined the Blood Sugar Sex Magik tour as opening acts. Whenever it was time for the headlining set to come on, seeing the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in concert would always feel like an invigorating burst of energy for all the people packed into sold-out stadiums. Their funk-rap breakdowns, animated stage presence, and minimal clothing attire offered relief from the brooding grunge of the punk-metal status quo. All in all, Blood Sugar Sex Magik was a tremendous commercial success, selling 12 million copies to date, cinching the #186 position on Rolling Stone's list of the Top 500 Albums of All Time, and winning three out of the seven MTV Music Award nominations it received.
The band made the Rolling Stone Top 500 list a second time with Californication (1999), their seventh studio album and most successful yet with 16 million copies sold. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers supported the album on tour for two consecutive years at sold-out venues across the world. The album lit a californi-craze for the RHCP that has burned steady since. The first live album, recorded during a 2004 Red Hot Chilli Pepper concert in Hyde Park, was the No. 1 event of the year on Billboard's Top Concert Boxscores with a record-breaking number of 258,000 fans and a total of over $17 million in tickets sold in the span of three nights.
Since then, they've been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2012), released a handful of more albums: 2006's Stadium Arcadium, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200; 2011's I'm With You, which hit No. 2; and 2016's The Getaway, which also peaked at No. 2.

Enjoyed the concert would go again a lot of fun that’s it
I had the Experience of a lifetime! Somehow by the grace of the universe I was able to snag two last minute tickets (ONLY $71 Per!) for me and my best friend! I have been waiting for many years to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I always wanted to see them with John Frusciante and honestly didn't think I would see them and low and behold! He rejoined the band! It was seriously a highlight of my life and legit a magical time. They were so good and energetic and just top notch performance! Loved every minute!
RHCP is full of bangers, song after song, the guitars between John and Flea sound incredible and must be witnessed live. Every time I leave a RHCP concert, I have such a great time and can't wait to attend the next show in town!!
This show, per usual was absolutely amazing. Time just flew by and the guys owned the scenario as of course they would. A band for multiple generations. Sounded great. Setlist was great. The hits just kept coming.
Had a great time. One of the best live performances I been to.
Great show! Fantastic, high energy jam to start things off and only got better after that. Crowd on their feet for the entire show and everyone was belting out the hits. Might do a little road trip to catch them again....
Is there a better a live band that is currently touring? Hit after hit after hit! Lucky to be able to see them while they're still able to bring it. And it was for free!
Still as good as they ever were, the chili peppers sang all the good ones and then some. Anthony came out with a walking boot on and still was all over the stage…love the dedication. My favorite band to see live.
RHCP were phenomenal! It does not seem like they have been doing this for over 40 years! This was a great place to experience their show though the sound at the Forum has been hit or miss especially with the singer's mics.
Had a blast. Can’t believe I got lucky enough to score some of these last-minute show tickets. Loved my nosebleed seats.
Th show was an amazing experience, I finally got the see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live. They put in an amazing show. I cannot wait to see them again!!!
The Chilli Peppers are one of the greatest rock bands of all time. High energy, creativity, mega-hits, and a great show. Most of the guys are in their 60's, but jump, dance, hand-stand, and have a great time showing more energy than bands half their age. Worth the time and money!
RHCP never disappoint! What an awesome show as always! So happy I was able to see them again - energy level was insane. Highly recommend seeing them!
Chilli Peppers are still awesome after all these years. Great show!
They still got it! We had a blast! Wish it was longer but overall they killed it!
Even though this show was a little shorter than anticipated, it was such an electrifying experience to see them live.
They definitely know how to put on a show but the concert was short (about an hour and 40 mins) and they didn't play once of their most popular songs - Under the Bridge. But what they did perform and play was amazing.
The concert was great but it fell a little short. They started singing at 8:30 and finished right before 10 pm. They didn't have openers, and when they came out they started singing right away. They didn't really interact with the public at all and that's fine but it was new to me as I have been to many concerts and the artist always talks in between songs even if it's just to say “hello and the name of the city they are playing at”. They were great and did what they came to do which was playing their amazing music, I guess I just expected more.
Great band. Sound was great super fun and alot of energy
