About

Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band's lineup consists of bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron. Thirty-plus years of live performances, twelve studio albums and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, Pearl Jam continues to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful. The band has sold over 85 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Pearl Jam's new album, Dark Matter, is out April 19, 2024. Since the earliest days, Pearl Jam has used its platform to elevate people and causes that often go unnoticed or underserved. Much of the band’s philanthropic work is accomplished through its Vitalogy Foundation which to date has raised more than $50 million for organizations supporting issues such as abortion access, climate change and homelessness, and drawing attention to the fight against diseases such as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis and epidermolysis bullosa (EB). In addition to the money Vitalogy donates, the band also donates signed instruments, posters and merchandise to organizations to use for their own fundraising purposes. Compounding the impact of Vitalogy Foundation, the band has supported Jeff Ament’s Montana Pool Service in building skate parks in Montana and South Dakota. Pearl Jam also lends its voice to notable causes like the West Memphis 3, voting rights and fair ticketing practices. Over the past three decades, the band has a long history of standing up for what it believes in and putting its resources behind those beliefs. Through its innovative Ten Club and fan engagement, community building, coveted poster designs, and longstanding activism and philanthropy, Pearl Jam continues to have a lasting impact on generations of music lovers.

    AMAZING

by Krazy on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Best show ever! And I saw Led Zep in 76. Perfect mix of new and old, musicianship amazing, Mike McCready is the most under rated guitar player on the planet. Eddies voice sounded as good if not better than in the 90's. Hard to believe these guys are all approaching or in there 60's. Unlike others who should have stopped touring years ago, I would pay any price to see them again.

    Electric from start to finish.

by T From Sacramento on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Pearl Jam like a fine wine only gets better with age. Saw them in 1995 and was blown away with the energy and enthusiasm to entertain. The Sacramento show was my 24th time seeing them live. Already looking forward to their next album and tour.

    Good first experience

    by Martorano916 on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

I thought the set was good, which they would have done a few more songs from Ten but I know Ed doesn't like repeating sets much. I do have to say getting the tickets was difficult and I was dropped several times but Ticket Master when completing the process. I also wish Sacramento could get some more weekend shows instead of always these weekday nights when noise rules and other things are an issue.

Long time no see. Cool laid back show. The guitar work was amazing. Heart felt comments made, friends highlighted, and crowd walk. Pretty fun experience.

One of the Best Live Bands

by McGarth on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Pearl Jam is one of the best live bands to ever perform. They are right up there with the Grateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Peter Gabriel, The Stones, AC/DC and The Talking Heads. Obviously, those are older bands (and everyone has their personal favorites), but the fact that they’re still doing it, 30, 40 or 50 years later demonstrates how well they all perform for their fans..

Pearl Jam still rock after 331/3 years

by GK on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

The band is still as tight and sound good - if not better than ever.... Sacramento as a venue seems to draw the crowd and band closer and more intimate... and Eddie as usual calls out people and is so endearing.... and did I say he still sounds awesome... and the rest of the band is playing at their peak (after 33 years still going strong).... the setlist was great - as usual they change it for every concert and that keeps you waiting for the next song.... all in all worth every $ spent and the 100mile trek from the Bay Area to Sacramento....

One of the best live bands today

by Halfdomer on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Pearl Jam has been together for over 33 years and they still put on a fantastic show with high energy. They always play a nice mix of new songs, deep tracks, rarities, and hits and you always get a different setlist every night. And the fans are passionate! Lotsa energy from their fans as well. Overall, a great experience that any rock fan should experience.

    An Amazing Show!!

    by CJ9 on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

I enjoyed everything about this performance. PJ sounded amazing and played songs old and new and some unexpected tunes. The energy was fantastic and it felt very special. They played longer than expected and the vibe felt more like a private party rather than a big arena show.

    Great Show - bad seats

    by Susan P. on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Peal Jam was fantastic but the seats we were in should not have been sold for this show. We had seats on the top, facing the stage. The metal rigging and cords/wires hung down obscuring the band and the screen that was behind them at the back of the stage...very distracting and disappointing. At one point towards the end of the show when they were writing something on an overhead projector that showed on the screen behind them, we couldn't even read what was being written because the rigging obscured it. I don't blame the band for this...they rely on the the venue to inform them.

    Great performance.

by Agent Smith on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Where do I start? This is the first full Pearl Jam concert that I have seen. In the 90's I had tickets to see them in SF at Golden Gate Park but Eddie Vedder fell ill after only a couple of songs, so that became Neil Jam (Neil Young played for like 4 hours). Then I finally got tickets to see them in Sacramento a year or so ago and that concert was cancelled because of Covid. So this is a concert I needed to see to get it off my concert bucket list. Overall I enjoyed the concert. I had wished to hear a few other songs but what I did hear didn't disappoint.

    Great experience!

by Temeka on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

I had an awesome experience. I loved the fact that the band played a mix of old and new music. The best part was when Eddie wrote on a board about women's right to choose what they should be able to do with their own bodies. I love the fact that he's not afraid to speak his mind!! It was also nice that he shouted out couples who were in long term relationships.

    Excellent Show!

by JB on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

This was my first time having the opportunity to see Pearl Jam live and they did not disappoint! I'm a Gen Xer, but never was able to scrape up the cash back in the 90s to see these guys, and I always regretted not being able to see them in their prime. I felt this was one of the best shows I have seen, and I have seen quite a few shows. The band was tight, Eddie's voice has not waivered one bit with 30+ years of performing and they were very responsive and interactive with the crowd. Not to mention the setlist of 25+ songs was awesome. A great mix of all of their top hits and the new album, which is a great listen if you have not heard it. The only bummer is that it was on a Monday night and I had to work the next morning! If they come your way, grab some tickets.

    Pearl Jam - Sacto

by CGonz on 5/16/24Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Pearl Jam always puts on a great show and this one was no exception. Golden One also is really clean and they have a lot of fun drinking options to enjoy right in front of the venue to enjoy before going in. Over the past few years it’s become one of my favorite venues to enjoy and I’m glad I was able to see Pearl Jam put on an amazing performance with my son! Pearl Jam is a band that doesn’t play the same set every show so you never know what you’re gonna hear but the encore was packed with some of their best! And it was super nice of Eddie to mention his engaged friends and uncle Freddy lol. Very sweet. ❤️
