Comedian Nate Bargatze’s clean-cut and relatable humor is why The Atlantic called him “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The Nashville, Tennessee native and host of the Nateland podcast found his voice in the mid-2000s with regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bargatze was featured on Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour in 2013, three years after he was named “New York's Funniest Stand-Up” at the New York Comedy Festival. Since then, Bargatze has been selling out arenas on solo tours and has opened for comedy icons like Chris Rock. Bargatze’s signature deadpan delivery was showcased in his 2021 Netflix special, The Greatest Average American, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for the coinciding comedy album. His 2023 Amazon Prime special Nate Bargatze: Hello World became the most-streamed original comedy special debut in Prime history — with 2.9 million viewers in its first 28 days — culminating in Bargatze breaking the attendance record for Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

We are fans of Nate. Wish his show was longer and the venue was nicer. Hope he visits Houston again soon.
Nate told a lot of the same jokes he told on SNL. They were funny the first time. His opening act was pretty good.
The show was brief. I expected more for the money. NRG Arena was great. Very organized and helpful staff.
Nate was fantastically funny good clean entertainment. We need more reasons to laugh . Loved all the comics Don’t take an Uber to NRG Arena There is no designated place for pickup and the staff is only interested in getting people off the ground NO HELP
The team of comedians, with Nate Bargatze headlining, was fantastic! We laughed until we cried. Our whole crew—ages 50+ down to age 13–enjoyed the show tremendously.
LOVE Nate. I saw him years ago in Seattle. He is one of my faves and I have introduced him to everyone I know. I honestly didn't laugh as much at this set BUT I still enjoyed it. The end jokes were the best like normal. Those were basically the only ones at which I laughed oddly. Not in his favor nor his fault: The venue was hot, the openers were, honestly, kind of terrible. There was a woman behind us cackling so loud (at all the jokes of the openers that weren't funny) and it killed the mood. I think she would have been called out for a heckler if the arena wasn't so big.
Nate Bargatze is my husband and I’s favorite comedian! Absolutely hilarious and great show.
Face hurt from laughing! Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!
Loved all of the comedy specials shown on television, but live was even better! Another thank the NRG Arena for the floor seats upgrades. Can't wait for Nat's return to Houston in the furture.
Love Nate, but I'd say about 70% of the material was stuff I have already seen or heard before. I was surprised about that. I assume when comics go on tour they will be primarily doing new material that hasn't been circulating on social media clips for that last year or two. Still had a good time though.
Jmho - Nate’s performance was okay. I was anticipating a much better performance based on his u-tube. I didn’t feel he brought his A game to the 3 pm show in Houston. I’m still a fan!
I loved Nate’s show as I always do! He is so very funny while seemingly effortless! I laughed the entire time which is so needed for everyone right now! Thank you Nate!!
It was a decent show overall. The host was way funnier than either of the opening acts. Nate was great, but the show is NOT all new material as advertised. That part was disappointing, as about half of it I had heard before. The show also started almost 30 minutes late and was only about an hour and a half start to finish, including the host bits, the two openers, AND Nate. Not a bad experience by any means, but definitely not worth the money we paid.
Nate Bargatze was so funny! I went with my husband and 2 teenagers. We all laughed so much! It was the best time. We will definitely go see him again when he comes back around.
I saw Nate in Austin and then luckily enough in Houston the following weekend. He was HILARIOUS both times! Everyone enjoyed the shows!
Usually love Nate and his tour host was outstanding - however, the two comedians before Nate were between boring to OK. The actual drawback to Nate's performance was so much material is not new! I had seen and heard some of his best bits on Instagram already. His funny take on history he had included in his "Saturday Night Live"monologue. Unfortunately, the tour is marketed as "new material!"Honestly, it's not worth the money, time in traffic and cost to park -- better to watch him on Netflix or socials. I'd give it two stars but didn't want to because I like all of his other material. It should be called "kinda-funny-not-much-new tour!"
This was my first visit to NRG Arena. It was the perfect venue for a comedian. We were 15 rows away from the stage, but I could still see all the comedians. In addition, I thought having a closeup on screen was a great way to see them close up. Nate Bargatze was hilarious in talking about everyday life events. I really enjoyed spending my Saturday afternoon laughing.
Opening acts good but Nate was fabulous! Laughed entire time! Minus was exiting parking lot. Sat for 25 min. Do better NRG folks
Nate is the BEST!!! His humor is clean, but not in a prudish way, and is never mean-spirited. Just a genuinely funny man. He takes every day events to which we can all relate and finds humor in them, then shares that humor with a perfectly paced delivery. Our favorite comedian!!!
