NCAA Rowing Championships Tickets

Even though the weather was a factor, all the races eventually did take place; they were delayed due to need for debris removal for the safety of the rowers. The park was beautiful and well-run. The shuttle service was terrific. The food trucks were great but perhaps one or two for more selection would have been appreciated. The bathrooms needed some cleaning though. All and all, we were totally satisfied with the venue.

I have been to many rowing venues as a spectator including St. Catherines (in Ontario) and Cooper River PArk (New Jersey). Sarasota is the best of the bunch. It is convenient to reach by freeway, there is good parking, great water, and you can see the entire course from the finish line. While the atmosphere for the NCAA Women's Championship was much lower key than the 2017 World Championships, the venue design helps create a nice buzz.

Great competition and wonderful spirit of sportsmanship among the student athletes and all fans. The weather was great and the venue very beautiful (although ducks and geese occasionally interrupted the races).

As my title states, the racing was great. Very exciting, venue was beautiful and seemed to make for good racing. HOWEVER, it is completely ridiculous to advertise & sell tickets to the "Grandstands" when there were not stands available for the fans at all. NO, seating available. People had to sit on the ground if they did not know in advance that they needed to bring chairs. Also, the vendors ran out of bottled water on the 1st day. And, not great food choices (1 coffee truck & 1 burger/slider truck the 1st day; they added a sandwich truck the 2nd day).

The venue was very small with NO seating. Parking was abysmal- half the lot was so muddy that traversing it was a challenge. Several times the event was delayed to remove Debris from the course. This is the pinnacle race for collegiate crew. It deserves a course that is equally superior.
