Amazing Musicians and Performers
by Adam on 12/21/22I've seen them 3 times now. My favorite band so I may be a little biased. They put on a good show every time. They are OG Swedish melodic metal!

In Flames in Concert
Among the forefathers of Swedish death metal, In Flames have been in the game for almost 30 years. Formed by guitarist Jesper Strömblad in 1990 as a side project from his other death metal band, Ceremonial Oath, In Flames would quickly become his main focus.
In 1993, Strömblad quit Ceremonial Oath to devote himself fully to his new enterprise. The same year, he recorded the band's first demo with its first official lineup, which featured Glenn Ljungström on guitar and Johan Larsson on bass (although the lineup has changed often since).
Their demo got them signed to Wrong Again records, who released the band's first album in 1994. Lunar Strain was a solid start for the band, giving them a place to start exploring melodic death metal in a real way. A year later, they released Subterranean EP, which gave them some notoriety with its aggressive speeds and soaring melodies — it caught the attention of esteemed metal label Nuclear Blast, who signed them.
On Nuclear Blast, In Flames was off to the races, continuing to release increasingly acclaimed music throughout the ‘90s and ‘00s. With 2002's Reroute to Remain, the band took a left turn and underwent a few substantial stylistic changes, including starting to use clean vocals and employing catchier hooks and choruses.
Their new music had a generally lighter feel, which helped them break through to the mainstream and gain a bigger fan base, They quickly blew up in the U.S. and were booked at Ozzfest. The album peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart. Going forward, they continued their new sound and their new music led them to the promised land. They went on to win four Grammis, the Swedish version of the Grammys.
I've seen them 3 times now. My favorite band so I may be a little biased. They put on a good show every time. They are OG Swedish melodic metal!
They played songs from albums all over the place. Excellent mix of songs, killer performance, the pit was great and I have big lasting bruises prove it haha
Amazing setlist, amazing sound. Seeing "big bands" in small venues is always an amazing concert experience but this one was one of the best. An intimate venue with great sound, In Flames gave us all a night to remember. New songs sprinkled in between older songs from almost every album, the set list was astounding. New guitarist Chris Broderick was super impressive as was Anders vocals. Wallys is always a great venue (though they need bigger bathrooms) and their booker has been doing an amazing job lately getting great rock and metal bands. #Inflameswetrust #wallysNH
It took me nearly 30 years to see In Flames live and I am glad I did!
Great show, lead singer of In Flames called out security after the first song and had a dude pulled. For some reason, never seen it before, the security thought it was a good idea to push crowd surfers back rather than pull them over. (Like every other venue does) No issues after that, great show. All supporting acts were amazing. Nice small venue that I would see other bands at.
The speakers were a bit too loud…and I mean that physically. The volume was so loud that the speakers were distorted. The highs could not be heard as cleanly and the lows were so distorted that they all blended together. The performers themselves were great. Although Upon A Burning Body seemed to have had to cut their set short. Was looking forward to seeing them play their scheduled final two songs but they had to end two songs short. In Flames was wonderful, and it was so much better seeing them live at a small Place like Wally’s instead of somewhere like the Palladium Indoors.
In flames was incredible rest of the bands sucked but In flames are easily one of the best live performance bands there talented, tight and know how to sound incredible and bust out there hits
The bands delivered greatly!! Bad thing was people smoking weed indoors, completely hated it.
I was disappointed that Born of osiris canceled, however the 3 bands that performed were amazing and it was an overall great show.
Everything from the sound to the energy of the crowd and band was perfect.
It was an honor and pleasure to not only see 🤘🏻 Orbit Culture 🤘🏻 live, but also to get the opportunity to meet them as well. They are the absolute best! The house of blues Chicago is my favorite venue as well, but the price for 1 drink is absolutely absurd at $19. Overall it was the best night of my life. Can't wait to see OC again!
Amazing show! Anders and Bjorn and the rest of the band did a great job!!
The concert was a lot of fun and the bands were great. The VIP experience would have been great if the meet and greet weren't in such a noisy room. I couldn't hear the band during the Q&A session at all, especially because bar staff were talking and laughing loudly in the background.
Don’t support these guys. It’s unfortunate that we have to use them to see acts we want to support. Boo.
Every time I see In Flames live they put on an amazing show. From crowed interaction to the pace of the overall performance, they know how to work the stage.
Just an amazing show. The guys are super cool to chat and hang out with. The only thing I was bummed about was not getting the VIP badges as they didn’t come in for the show.
I was happy to see in flames at a smaller and more intimate venue. The opening bands were good too. It was cool Meeting the guys from orbit culture and vended after their sets !
Amazing show. The band members were so down to earth and chill. They made it a very memorable experience with my first ever meet and greet. They even posed for a funny picture with me! My boyfriend had the time of his life meeting is favorite band. They spund even better in person. Can not wait to do this again!!!!
One of the greatest shows I have ever seen! What a line-up, what a great experience!
All the bands put on a good show but FFAA were exceptional! In Flames definitely did their thing, they were a little bit better at interacting with the audience than other times I saw them play. Had it not been for the gross venue with no AC the experience would have been a lot more enjoyable. Looking forward to never ever going to the Danforth Music Hall again until this issue is resolved lol Wish that Orbit Culture were on longer than a half hour! They were really really good
