Golden State Warriors History

Founded in 1946, the Warriors called the city of Philadelphia home for 16 memorable years before moving to the West Coast in 1962 to become the San Francisco Warriors. In 1971, the Golden State Warriors were born when the team moved across the Bay to Oakland.

The team's storied history includes seven NBA Championships, an NBA-record 73 wins during the 2015–16 season, eight players named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team and 31 members inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Golden State Warriors also have the distinction of having the third most NBA Championships to their name (seven), and the third-most appearances in the NBA Finals (11). The only teams that have more are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. The current team is led by two-time league MVP Stephen Curry, who won the Clutch Player of the Year Award in 2024, and eight-time All-NBA Defensive selection Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors’ most recent NBA Championship came in 2022.

  • Do not select standing room at the chase

by Nono on 1/21/25Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

There is no bench table or anything to lean on or place your drinks. box office wanted 80 plus to upgrade per ticket, but we needed seats at the end. none he could find. my wife is frequents the wash room and it just didn't work out. thought these standing rooms would be good because they were near the everything! Ended up leaving at half time! complete waste of money and time.

  • Warriors vs Suns

by HH on 1/3/25Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed the game but I don’t like the spectacle of it all. Loud music constantly, lights flashing always, it’s too much. And the dude on the jumbo Tron telling me to “stand up” and “make noise” - gross. Whatever that dude said I did the opposite.

  • Warriors game

by Derek Torres on 1/2/25Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

It's always a great time at the chase center to watch the Warriors, win or loose. Tickets are pricey, I always keep up on ticket deals so I can get the best seats for the right price.

  • Warriors Floor Seats

by Colby on 12/26/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

We sat in seats A2 section 15 seats 15 & 16 and it was an amazing view. We were less than 20 feet away from the court. The customer service was impeccable. The Chase Club was a phenomenal experience. We would love to do it again.

  • Setting with more handicap area.

by TERRY on 12/26/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Handicap had to climb stairs to my seat. But had a wonderful time.

  • Beautiful arena obstructed view

by Warriordor on 12/26/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

Chase center is great in most respects but my seat had an obstructed. Hard to see the game through railing.

  • Awesome game and experienxe

by Ptownnana on 12/11/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent venue and seats! The game was amazing!!

  • Loud and generic

by E Dub on 12/9/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 2 out of 5

I love the Warriors, but everything about the Chase Center, aside from the building itself, is pretty terrible. The endless cookie cutter rap music is pumped at high levels to make up for the unengaged crowd, even while the game is going on. The dance groups, announcer, and promotions are all tired and boring. Long gone are the days of a live funk band, loud and diverse crowd, and a cool Oakland vibe. I know I sound like a bitter old man, but the Oakland Coliseum experience crushed this homogenized excuse for one. I’ll be content to watch what I can on TV, as a live Warriors (or likely any NBA team) game is a ripoff.

  • Epic Experience at Chase

by Canuckiwi on 12/8/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

So impressed by the facility but most importantly all of the amazing team members / staff at Chase who made my son and I who flew from New Zealand to see the Warriors, feel so at home. Was EPIC!

  • It was fun !

by Fun on 12/3/24Rating: 5 out of 5

It was fun with my kids! We watch the game till the end. They have so much fun!

  • Seat Review

by DB on 11/30/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

Laughably bad seats. Can’t see much as court is too far away and Chase seating is too vertical.

  • Warriors win! Need better food though.

by Mike in San Carlos on 11/23/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Chase Center and Warriors is always great, highly recommend. However, I was disappointed with the number of restaurants available in the upper deck section. Basically just 4 choices for food anywhere near our section (we walked several sections in both directions, and there was nothing else remotely close), and one of those was all basic fried food (chicken tenders and fries and the like), one was all hot dogs, and one was all vegan. That left one restaurant for people hoping for something "different"but tasty, and even that one wasn't great. Giants baseball has way better options.

  • I LOVE THIS ARENA

by Ron on 11/23/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I was up in the nosebleeds, and the view was still amazing. I could tell what was going on and could tell who was down there. I'm ready to return once I get another goo's deal.

  • THE best team, horrible refs

by JTK on 11/18/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I am so grateful I could attend the Mavs and Grizzlies games. The Klay celebration was gorgeous, and the Dubs were insane! The refs were also insane during the Grizzlies game and should all be in a mental institution.

  • First NBA game, won’t be the last

by Ben on 11/18/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Our first trip to San Francisco and hoping it won’t be the last. Going to watch the Warriors at the Chase Centre was defo a buck list moment for me and one I’m buzzing to tick off. A great experience, reasonably priced seats too albeit on the back row but still a great view of the whole court. Would 100% recommend doing this whilst in San Francisco

  • What an experience

by Future Baller 57 on 11/5/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

My son and I came over from the UK to watch the NBA for the first time, and what an experience we had! The Chase Stadium is a wonderful place to watch a game. It was quick and easy to get through security and into the stadium. The look and feel of the stadium was so lovely. There are plenty of food and drink stalls with good choices. It was easy to walk all around the stadium and find your seats. The view was amazing and having the screens around to see the game stats and replies. Entertainment during time outs, end of quarters and half time was fab. I just wish we could go every game.

  • Amazing

by Andrew on 11/2/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing seats with amazing people. Grandma and mom had an amazing time. First game for them. A night they will never forget.

  • Great Experience

by Link on 10/14/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing the Warriors play in person, and it definitely met my expectations. I loved the bobblehead giveaway that they had, and I even got the rare gold-painted one. It was nothing short of a memorable experience, and I will definitely come back again.
