About

DEAD & COMPANY IN CONCERT:

Deadheads rejoice! The Grateful Dead have been reborn as Dead & Company, delivering all the groovy vibes and extended jams fans know and love. Longtime Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart are joined by superstar singer/songwriter and accomplished blues guitarist John Mayer as they blend rock, folk, funk, jazz, and psychedelia to blow fans' minds with epic aural bliss. With their spacey instrumental interplay and awe-inspiring solos, the group organically weaves their way through audience favorites like "Truckin'", "Casey Jones", and "Fire on the Mountain". The long, strange trip is back on the road -- Dead & Company are bringing their positive energy and uncanny musical genius to ticket buyers everywhere.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Grateful Dead were instrumental to the '60s psychedelic sound and hippie culture. Jerry Garcia (guitar/vocals), Bob Weir (guitar/vocals), Phil Lesh (bass/vocals), Bill Kreutzmann (drums), and Ron McKernan (keyboards/vocals) got things rolling in 1965. Excluding McKernan and Garcia, who died in 1973 and 1995 respectively, the core lineup has remained virtually unchanged sinc then. Many other musicians have helped shape the band’s sound as well, especially second drummer Mickey Hart, who joined the Dead in 1967. The band toured excessively throughout the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, famously playing sets that exceeded the three-hour mark. After Garcia's death the group soldiered on, continuing to build their legacy through fearless sonic exploration. It was not until their 50th anniversary in 2015 that the Grateful Dead decided to retire their name. Fortunately for fans, their retirement was short-lived as pop singer/songwriter and blues guitarist extraordinaire John Mayer brought Weir, Hart, and Kreutzmann back out for more legendary jam sessions. Dead & Company continues in the Dead's spontaneous and inventive musical tradition -- just the way Deadheads like it.

    The future of concerts

by Dave P on 5/21/24Sphere - Las Vegas

Great bands will always make great music and dead & co certain delivered. The one piece that went above and beyond what is imaginable is the venue itself. The videos do it zero justice. You could be stone cold sober or in full party mode and without question you’ll walk away just blown away. The crystal clear sound, onscreen visuals and haptic seats form an experience like nothing else.

    Nothing compares

by Gil on 5/21/24Sphere - Las Vegas

The Friday and Saturday shows of opening weekend were the two greatest concerts I've ever attended, bar none. The atmosphere, visuals, and sound were all top notch. The staff is as friendly as can be, and ensured that everyone could relax and focus on the show. The Eyes played on Saturday is the best live jam I've ever experienced. If you have the chance to travel to Vegas this summer, see the Dead, you will not regret it! 10/10

    Dead open

by Gravy on 5/21/24Sphere - Las Vegas

We hit all three shows. Each one was better than the previous. We also caught other live acts at the after parties. Really incredible experience. I’ll be back if I can.

Beware! Some lower deck seats have partial view

by Giannycarlito on 5/21/24Sphere - Las Vegas

I was very excited to experience the sphere. Unfortunately the lower level back section has a partial view of the sphere. You can’t see all the way up. Some seats were labeled partial view when I was purchasing but the seats I purchased in section 105 Row 35 did not state that. Very disappointing. As for the concert John Mayer jamming was great but the rest of performance was mediocre considering expectations for the sphere.

    The best ever!

by Tk on 5/21/24Sphere - Las Vegas

Dead were on fire ! Music was crisp and clear. Visuals were unworldly. Plenty of room to dance in general admission. Seats were Comfortable. Bathroom lines very reasonable. Could not have asked for more! Having to hold drinks in cups not very cool. Sphere food and drink prices also unworldly

I’ve been going to Dead shows since 1978. The Sphere is an amazing canvas for the boys to paint a masterpiece. The sound is epic, the staff is kind, and the visuals will rearrange your DNA.

by Brick Steel on 5/21/24Sphere - Las Vegas

Absolutely phenomenal show. Dead and Company at the sphere. WOW! The music was great and the visuals were amazing. I’ve been to several Dead and Company shows and they were all great but the show at the sphere added amazing visuals to compliment the music - that you can’t see anywhere else. I loved it!

    Unbelievably Awesome

by Steve on 5/20/24Sphere - Las Vegas

Everything about Dead Forever, 2nd night, was incredible. The setlist had most everyone on the left side of the Sphere dancing the whole night. The Dead sounded incredible and at many points, it felt like an outdoor festival as it should. The visuals were amazing - especially as the venue left Haight Ashbury and went to the stratosphere. Simply amazing.
