Awesome concert
by Joe on 10/29/23Rose Bowl - PasadenaThe show was awesome. Lot of energy and effects. Venue was uncomfortable though. Bench seating is tight and there are no backs so my back was sore after.

Coldplay is one of the best-loved British rock bands in the world, with numerous tours, top sellers and awards to their name. Formed in 1996, the band's original line-up comprised Chris Martin, the lead vocalist, and Jonny Buckland, the lead guitarist, who met at University College in London. Originally the band was called Pectoralz, which later became Starfish after the bassist, Guy Berryman, joined along with drummer Will Champion, who also plays multiple instruments and provides backing vocals.
The band finally decided on the new name Coldplay in the same year that they recorded and released their first three EPs: Safety, released in 1998, the single “Brothers and Sisters,” released a year later and “The Blue Room,” also released in 1999. This last single was the band's first major label release with Parlophone. Collaborations include recordings with Jay Z, Nelly Furtado and Rihanna, and the band have also said that Travis were a major influence on their early work, along with Muse, Kate Bush, George Harrison and Echo and the Bunnymen. Later influences include Arcade Fire and My Bloody Valentine.
It was their single “Yellow” released in 2000, that launched the band to instant international acclaim, and their debut album, Parachutes, followed later that year, receiving Mercury Prize nominations. Coldplay's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, released in 2002, also received widespread critical praise and won a range of awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year award from NME. The next album release was X & Y, which was also well received, and the fourth album release was Viva la Vida, or Death and All His Friends in 2008, which earned them a number of wins at the Grammy Awards. Their fifth album, Mylo Xyloto was a chart topper in 34 countries.
The band has also won a large number of awards, including seven Grammys, five MTV Music Awards, and eight BRITs, with over 25 nominations in all. Coldplay have sold over 60 million records across the world and have toured extensively across Europe, the Americas, Australia, Asia and Africa. They also strongly support a range of political and social causes and have performed extensively in charity concerts, including Live 8, the Teenage Cancer Trust, Band Aid 20, Hope for Haiti Now, Sound Relieve and the Secret Policeman's Ball.

SO beyond expectations!! Off the chart!! Coldplay went beyond and above in every way, right down to the near-end by going to the "other"end of the stadium and playing to the folks there. Best concert of my life.

But when coldplay came the whole experience was amazing because also my first time being in the ground pit area which was by far the best experience and best time of my life. Coldplay was a lot of the best emotions I can feel🥹 and i wish i can go back again i loved the concert so much.
You just have to live to tell it. They are wonderfull. Thank you Coldplay
Coldplay has been on my bucket list and now it’s been another check mark completed. If you have been wanting don’t! Do it! They are so amazing live!!
One of the best concerts i have been to and i have been to quite a few. It was an experience to remember and i will most definitely be at the next tour whenever that time comes. The vibe, the energy, it was EVERYTHING.
The Coldplay concert, like past concerts, did not disappoint. It’s such a top notch production. No one does it better. And of course the energy of the band and music is sooo good. The light shows and fireworks just top an already exceptional show! Love this band and music as they are full of Love and share their love and gratitude with every audience member. Highly recommend if you’ve never seen them live to go.
My 2nd time seeing them live! Me and my best drove from Georgia all the way to Seattle and met Chris the night before the show and then MET THE ENTIRE BAND the night of the show. The show was so magical and truly the adventure of a lifetime!
Just wow. It rocks your soul! Even my husband who doesn't like rock is now a diehard Coldplay fan after the concert. The absolute best
This was probably the best concert I’ve ever been to. The energy in the stadium was unlike any other gathering and I heard all of my favorite songs. There were light up bracelets that we took on our way in and I felt like I was a part of every song when it lit up multicolors! I love how they moved their stage closer to the back at the end so everyone felt like they had an equal opportunity to see Coldplay up close. So many environmentally friendly practices were in place and the confetti was a nice memorabilia I got to take home with me. Truly fantastic, definitely a must-see show everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
Never miss a Coldplay concert. It is an experience!!!
Honestly one of the best concert experiences I have been to! The venue and parking was not great, but the concert experience was amazing! If you enjoy any of Coldplay’s songs, I highly recommend attending a concert. Great vibes and better music. Chris Martin is a heart.
the joy that chris gives me is like no other 💔. i got to see him two times in three days. went to san diego and then in the next two days i got to see him at the rose bowl. indescribable feeling.
I have had the pleasure of attending numerous concerts by some of the biggest artists in the world, but Coldplay's performance at the Rose Bowl stands out as the absolute best. No one has ever come as close to creating an unforgettable experience as Coldplay did that night. From the mesmerizing light show to the playful release of balloons, confetti, and fireworks, every moment was pure magic. Chris Martin's ability to not only enthrall the audience with his music but also interact with everyone on a personal level left me in awe. He exudes humility, which is a rare and beautiful trait in a performer of his stature. The surprise appearance of a special guest on stage was the icing on the cake, adding an extra layer of excitement to an already exceptional evening. I can't help but wonder if anyone can ever surpass the sheer brilliance of Coldplay's performance at the Rose Bowl. Many may try, but I believe most will fall short. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Coldplay for giving my family and me the best time of our lives. This concert will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
I recommend this concert, the group is amazing and they know how to engage all the concert goers.
Coldplay puts on the most unbelievable, heart warming concert so full of love. Music was just amazing. The venue does not seem to met code. Tiny seats, steep steps with no railing. Restrooms were to few, smelly and dirty Getting to the shuttle buses was a nightmare!!!Hours of waiting.
