Maryland-bred rockers Clutch have been a hot ticket on the tour circuit and a mainstay on the rock radio airwaves for well over a decade. That streak continued in 2013 with the release of a well-received new album titled Earth Rocker, which topped Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and plenty of concert dates, stopping at the likes of The Depot (Salt Lake City) and other world-class venues. The group's consistency even extends to its lineup, which features three members -- Neil Fallon (vocals, keyboards), Tim Sult (lead guitar), Dan Maines (bass), and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums) -- who have been in the group since it formed in 1991.
Clutch released their debut album, 1993's Transnation Speedway League, after landing a deal with EastWest Records, largely thanks to their reputation as a strong concert act. The band's growing fan base and the success of their self-titled 1995 sophomore release lead to a short-lived major-label deal with Columbia. Clutch's 2009 and 2013 albums, their ninth and 10th, were released on the group's own Weathermaker label.
Best band going and most people don’t know about them. Fantastic show and a great mix of new and old songs!! Even the opening bands were great
Clutch brings it as always and the native howl was great too. Blacktop mojo was mid and I sent need to see them ever again. The Queen is a little too small for a band like clutch but I would see them there again
I am fortunate enough that I live 2 hours from, Indianapolis, Columbus Oh, Cincinnati Oh, Toledo Oh, and 1.5 hours from Ft. Wayne In. And with that being said. This last show a few months ago with Red Fang, I have seen CLUTCH 36 times.
I have seen them last June @Graspop Metal Fest, and man, what a feast! The closing song "Electric Worry"was EPIC! The whole Marquee (small tent) was jumping up and down and moving from front to back, left to right!! What an energy! Can't say anything else, then that I fell in love with this band! Can't wait for them to tour in The Netherlands and I can see there full show!
So glad to see Clutch again. Great music and first time at this venue. Great experience
Been lucky enough to see Clutch 5 times (i'm in the 5 timer club)! First fell in love with Pure Rock Fury. First opportunity to see live was Earth Rocker. Then Psychic Warfare, Book of Bad Decisions, & twice on Sunrise/No Stars. Never miss a Clutch show! Clutch fan forever!!!!!
I've liked Clutch for the past couple of years and their style is really good and old-school hardcore. I give 4 starts because the venue should offer a better quality of sound for their main performer and the band should confirm and check this too. I would definitely get ticket for their next presentation
Went to see Giavonnie and the hired guns. I love their music but was so disappointed in their sound you could not understand what he was saying or singing. The second band (clutch) sound system was great, and you could clearly understand. very disappointed as we traveled quite a distance to see them. Hopefully they will work this out.
As far as the band, it was a GREAT show. H.O.B is a clean place with food of all tastes and ice cold drinks that fulfill any thirst. Be sure to see one of your favorite artists at the H.O.B in New Orleans, LA.
Neil and the gang never disappoint. I ve seen them multiple times and they are always on point. I wish their set would have been a little longer but theres always next time. Unless its at the HOB in myrtle beach again.........because i will never go to another show at that particular venue again. That place can kiss the back of my beanbag
The band was great as always, but their setlist was by far the worst on the entire tour.
The show was fantastic and the VIP club access was a pretty awesome upgrade too
First Clutch show, knew about four songs but absolutely loved the show! Great energy from band and crowd.
Clutch never disappoints. Very few bands can rock equally hard with songs from their first EP and latest album in the same show. I see Clutch every time I possible can.
CLUTCH show AWESOME, as Always! Every song is a banger! Had so much fun! It was hotter than hell outside in the courtyard venue, in August in Florida. This is the 4th time I've seen Clutch. 2nd time on this tour. First leg of tour was for new album, saw them House of Blues, Orlando, night of hurricane Ian, crazy! This leg of tour whole different show with whole mix of songs, some old, some new. Always Always, ALWAYS a great show when you go see Clutch live. They work hard and they rock hard!
I've seen Clutch 43 times. It never gets old. I will keep going to see them until they are no longer rocking
10/10, definitely recommend!! Greay music and a great environment
Long time fan of Clutch. They get better with each album, with each performance. Glad they finally made it to one of my favorite venues. Cant wait to see them again.
The clutch show at Janus was great. I have seen this band at least a dozen times over the years and they never disappoint. The opening band was ok And things moved along well between sets. The sound was awesome The merch was abundant but like everything else starting to get pricey but that's how the bands make there money as long as the venue doesn't take a cut. I usually get something anyway this night it was 2 T-shirts. The only drawback to the night was no where to sit but that comes with attending a show at this venue.
Few bands are better live or even as good as they sound on recording. Clutch is one of the few exceptions that is actually BETTER live. 4th time I’ve seen them, each time they’ve been just as good if not better.
