It says all you need to know about Buddy Guy that the music genre that he has come to embody, the Chicago Blues, could never hope to contain him. In the more than 55 years since the Louisiana moved to Chicago and embarked on one of the most influential careers a guitarist could ever hope for (just ask Eric Clapton), Guy is still pushing the envelope of his artistry. But what is remarkable about this Rock N' Roll Hall of Famer is that he isn't sacrificing an iota of his relevancy while doing so. Guy proves it not just in concerts that are as high energy now as they were when he was heralding a rock guitar revolution in the 1960's, but also on the charts. His 2010 musical autobiography-of-sorts Living Proof was the blues legend's highest carting record to date, while his 2013 double disk follow up Rhythm and Blues was #1 on the Blues chart and showed 77-year-old to be every bit the firecracker as guest stars Kid Rock and Arrowsmith. If his last few decades have proven anything, it's that a ticket to a Buddy Guy concert isn't simply a tour through blues history, but an opportunity to see a genre's foremost practitioner still at the top of his game, with as much to say as ever has.

Buddy Guy is the master and the real deal. I was truly in awe seeing him.
Great show! I tell everyone about penns peak and how great it is. The prices for tickets food and drinks are not a rip off like other venues Iāve been to. This is my favorite place to see a band. Buddy your were wonderful!
Buddy was on my list of legends to see and he did not disappoint! From the first note that cried out of his guitar, I was mesmerized. His crystal clear vocal range, magic fingers and storytelling created an experience of a lifetime! Best show Iāve ever seen! šøš¶š„
Pennās Peak is a fabulous venue in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. Well, its a wonderful concert hall, but a terrible place to get a meal (Roadies needs a separate, seriously awful review). Art, the opening almost bluesman from Brazil was very good, but Buddy was the star. His shtick hasnāt changes in years - which is a double-edged sword. At 87 (!) he is still a master showman and awesome guitar player. If you've seen his shows through the years you already know the songs and the jokes. And if you have great seats, good company, and a tasty drink, you will love it all over again.
He was awesome! Still has the voice. He moved through the audience which was a thrill and everyone enjoyed. Excellent!!
Great show by Buddy Guy! Iāve seen Buddy several times over the years! Heās slowed down a bit, but at 87, he can still rock the roof off. Thankful I was able to attend the rescheduled performance. The stories about his life are amazing to hear in person. So many young people donāt realize how life was at that time. Penns Peak is my favorite venue ! Easy to park, thereās food & drinks, and the staff is friendly.
The incomparable Buddy Guy. I felt blessed to be in his presence. The show was amazing.
Buddy Guy, his son (surprise guest), the opening act, and all of the musicians were fabulous.
I was expecting a good show but let me tell you Buddy is amazing words cannot describe him . Go no run to see him .
Buddy Guy was absolutely amazing! 87 and still killing itā¦he put on a great show and was very funny. He even brought out his sonā¦wow!! There was just so much talent on that stage. So worth it!!!!
Buddy Guy was amazing a vs usual. This is the 9th time Iāve seen him.. Canāt wait for the next timeā¦
I loved this show so much. It was great fun. I love the venue in Westbury, too. Great place to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house.
Buddy Guy is 87 and still ROCKIN' the house. I've gone to his shows since 1967. He ages like a fine wine.
What a treasure! First, Bobby Rush was superb. His voice, humor, and harmonica all came through with stunning force. Truly astounding musician. Buddy brought it! His voice hasn't changed a bit for this listener. It's magically clear with powerful projection. It really goes beyond the explainable. Thank you to both for maintaining the quality we've come to expect (and deeply appreciate).
Bobby Rush and Buddy Guy are simply the greatest musicians ever. Both put on an extraordinary show. Given their ages, almost 88 and 91, they are incomparable!!
Buddy was awesome. I teared up a bit leaving thinking this is probably the last time I will get to see him. He's entertaining as well as being a great blues man.
Great show, Bobby Rush was a hoot also! Sounded great!
Excellent show, my first blues show. I so wish he was retiring. Great drinks and I really felt secure with the metal detectors and extra security.
I've seen Buddy Guy several times before. I know he's older now, so I did not expect the same level of energy. He was still extremely good. His band is exceptional. However, his opening act, Bobby Rush, although he has skills with a long resume, (which he outlined several times), was on for way too long. Then he comes back out for the final 20 minutes with BG. By this point I had just about enough of him.
