About

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are regarded as one of the very best live rock acts of all time. From humble New Jersey beginnings in 1972, they grew in popularity to become one of the true icons of American music. Hits such as “Born In The USA” and “Dancing In The Dark” cemented Bruce Springsteen as one of America's top popular rock vocalists. He's known for being one of the hardest-working acts in the industry, and concerts can regularly last three hours or more and tours often last years rather than months.
Bruce Springsteen began his musical career singing and playing in a number of bands in the New Jersey area in the mid-‘60s. Influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Cream, his musical style was both a reflection of his own tastes and of his blue-collar working-class American roots. The mix of old-fashioned rock and roll with a more progressive, often politically minded lyrical style soon began to build a cult following for Springsteen. By 1972 he was signed to a deal with Columbia Records, along with the E Street Band. The band's members changed now and then over the years, but the core members were Danny Federici, Clarence Clemons, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg. Together they released their first album, Greetings From Asbury Park NJ, in 1972.
While they enjoyed tremendous success in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, they were launched into the megastar category with the release of Born In The USA in 1984. The album stormed the US charts, becoming one of the biggest-selling records of all time with over 30 million albums sold. Bruce Springsteen became an American pop-culture icon and the band enjoyed huge success worldwide with sold-out stadium tours and numerous top 10 singles.
In 1999 Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and over the years the act has won numerous Grammy and Golden Globe Awards while continuing to rock at sell-out shows the world over. Bruce has always remained true to his roots, often turning down offers from corporate advertisers wanting to use his music for profit. His music has truly captured the American spirit over the years, which is why he has remained a much-loved and consistently popular musician for such a long time. Away from his on-stage commitments he is an activist for equal rights and runs a charity called The Foundation which helps support war veterans and food banks.

    Awesome Concert

by LeviRed on 4/24/24Nationwide Arena - Columbus

Bruce is still rocking. His voice is strong, his guitar still sings, he’s got an amazing E Street Band, and it’s obvious that he’s having fun. They did an amazing job on 30 songs. Jake Clemons is fabulous on sax but it’s still sad not to see the big man on stage.

No Better Live Band than Bruce & the E Street band!

by Mick on 4/24/24Nationwide Arena - Columbus

Having seen Bruce and the E Street band many times since 1984, the show in Columbus was equal to any past show of theirs I've seen. I would high recommend, strongly encourage anyone who has not seen what I think is the best live band to get out and see them while you can. The energy that Bruce at 74 brings to the show is head and shoulders above what most other artists can provide at younger ages. The setlist was fantastic with Bruce classics such as Born To Run, Tenth Avenue Freeze-out, and Rosalita. I brought my adult daughters who are their 20's and even they agreed that Bruce and the E-street band is not to be missed!

by White shoes on 4/24/24Nationwide Arena - Columbus

I enjoy Bruce's music very much, but it wasn't the best concert ever. It ranked with the best of them. I have been enjoying going to concerts for some 54+ yrs. I have seen some of the best. Note: 1 more thing off the bucket list.

    No One Better

by beak on 4/24/24Nationwide Arena - Columbus

For my money, there is no better live rock and roll performer, and he and band mates didn't disappoint. Speaking of money, one always gets their money's worth ... three hours of non stop songs from the total of his career. Now for the negative: phone as ticket (even though you can get around it with difficulty) shows a complete lack of service and is discriminatory. Speaking of phones, we were unfortunate to be behind idiots who were frequently holding up their phones for significant periods of time recording videos, Seriously, why are you there, if you want to watch half the concert on your phone., and what are you going to do with those videos when you get home? Rude.

The best show ever and i've seen about 500 concerts.

by Ron on 4/24/24Nationwide Arena - Columbus

So unbelievable. Bruce has so much energy and his voice is pitch perfect. The band was tight as usual. The set list was a bit different from last April when i saw him in Cleveland. They started with Youngstown and played The Detroit Medley and Twist and Shout near the end. Also played Downbound Train and I'm On Fire. A 3 hour show. You can't get much better than Bruce even at 73.

    Met Expectations and More!

by Roger on 4/24/24Nationwide Arena - Columbus

Having seen some other bands of my youth in recent years as they are now much older, I wondered if the "Boss"at the age of 74 could still deliver the high energy show we have grown accustomed too. Did he ever deliver and beyond! The show was over 3 hours and he never took a single break! Incredible and what was even more amazing was that the vocals and music sounded just as good as ever. What a fantastic show - worth every penny it cost!

by Charlieandy on 4/24/24Nationwide Arena - Columbus

If you didn't know it you would never believe Bruce is74 years old. The music was nonstop, and the concert was over 2 hours. Sure we didn't get all our favorites but the concert would've been 4 hours to do that!!!
