  • Open bar did NOT stay open

    by Andy S on 10/29/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 3 out of 5

First off, I would like to say the music and live entertainment was one of the best parts of the experience. The venue was perfect for a large party, the lighting, the photo area, the smoke machines, the dance floor, all of it came together to provide a great experience. However, the advertised 9am-11am open bar was terribly mismanaged. All of the bars were either understaffed or overworked- lines were so long people were waiting 30-40 minutes for a drink by the time it was 10 am. One of the worst parts was scrambling around to the multiple bars on several floors and being told the open bar closed at 10:30 when it was previously advertised as being open until 11 am. People were in lines waiting only to be told during the wait that the open bar drinks were over. Multiple people had noticed workers at the venue sneaking bottles and denying the open bar cocktails early before the 11 am supposed cutoff. I will say, if you're going to promote this as a selling point, you should be more transparent that people should try to get in line again after getting their first (and most likely only) drink, if they even want a hope of getting a second free drink. There were about 2-3 lines per bar, but there was barely a semblance of a line at majority of the ground floor bars. The above and below floors were a bit more organized, but that still was not enough to help people get what they want in an orderly fashion. People were very upset with one of the bartenders in the bar on the 2nd floor taking very long to serve (I've heard comments about taking forever to get scoops of ice for drinks, talking to attendees and overall delaying the line). I feel this wasn't the case for every bar, but the bar in the little lounge- those workers need to get it together. I didn't have this experience at a previous banger - the reggaeton banger bars were very nice and speedy with serving. This one felt like it cheated people. I'm hoping the next banger is not like this when it comes to drinks.

  • An awesome halloween experience!

by Deon on 10/29/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

This party was the first Halloween party I've celebrated as an adult in NYC in it did not disappoint. The venue, the people in costumes, and special performances were fantastic. 10/10. The only complaint I have was that the DJ could have played a lot more diverse music. I feel like Spanish/Latin music was played for more than half the party. Other than that, the party was excellent.

  • Open Bar finished early

by LP on 10/29/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 3 out of 5

I love 9am banger but running out of liquor 45 minutes early is unacceptable. We are out here paying for 2 hours open bar and should've had that. What's more frustrating is that they haven't addressed it and just moved on like it didn't happen.

  • Not what I expected

by Star on 10/29/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 2 out of 5

The open bar was only jack Daniel’s and not alot of people drink dark liquor. There should have been a snack area cause I know a lot of people didn’t get to snack on something before entering. I don’t know It was a one time experience but I definitely won’t go again.

  • What A Waste of Time & Potential

by Why on 7/30/24Rating: 1 out of 5

DJ's music was all older classics with little to no beats to dance to. Venue lines were horrendous despite being here before with a much better and quicker experience. Nobody dancing with watered down drinks. Save your money and do literally anything else.

  • Needed to be more creative

by VC on 7/28/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

It wasnt a good experience, The price for the tickets were unreasonable, dj was all over the place and couldn't build up a vibe, for the price of the tickets, drinks and food should have been inclusive. Location was nice, the venue could have been better decorated for a better photo experience I left Canada for something new only to have the same experience. There should have been a small performance for the price of the tickets This event left us feeling ripped off Good idea but very little impact Yall need to do better, give peopl a talk about experience.

  • First Time

by Tisha on 7/25/24Rating: 3 out of 5

This was my first time experiencing the 9am banger and it was okay. The music was not the best, and wait for drinks was annoying, the bar tenders didn't have the best attitudes, and there was no skip the line option for VIP. I traveled 5 hours to attend this party which was basic compared to the videos I have seen.

  • A good party but dropped the ball

by Bill on 7/24/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

I've been to a few of these 9AM Bangers and generally they all live up to the hype. This Rise n Rose party was supposed to be the crown jewel and don't get me wrong it was cool, but the hour plus wait for drinks was NOT it. The decision was made to sell food *and* drinks at a packed event for reasons I don't understand. It also seemed like it was a deliberate ploy to get ppl to get the more expensive VIP ticket - I shouldn't have to overpay for an already pricey event just so I can not wait an hour to get a drink. Definitely hope Pier 17 - 9AM Banger fixes this moving forward.

  • A little more alcohol please

by Footz on 7/23/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The event was great and I will be returning. The only issue I had was that the drinks weren’t strong enough. The mimosas and the mixed drinks were too soft. Other than that I had a blast.

  • THE MUSIC SUCKED

by NOT SO HAPPY on 7/23/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

THE MUSIC WAS HORRIBLE. a lot of the people left because of the horrible music...

  • Have fun @9 am

by Clockspinsround on 7/23/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

The experience was fun, big space great views. Open bar was okay, too pricy and just not a lot of things being giveaway either should have more sponsors but will go again if price is as good or better.

  • Expected better

by Chris on 7/23/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

The open bar situation was horrible and the way it was handled by staff was even worse. Lines were not moving and I was told by staff to wait until open bar was over to redeem my ticket for a free glass of rose and when I went to redeem they said they were not accepting it.

  • Good time

by Ken on 7/23/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

  • I love getting home early!!!!

by Momo822 on 7/23/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

This event was cool. Waking up early wasn’t as fun but the vibes were definitely there. The line to get in was long but moved quickly. The DJs were good, shoutout to the women DJs. I took off a star for the long lines to the bar. I waited 30 mins for a drink. I definitely will be going to another event.

  • Awesome

  • Amazing

Never leave disappointed drinks are good the vibe is amazing

  • Great job team

by Raye on 7/23/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The DJ's (the soul of the party) killed it. The music was diverse and fun. My only suggestion would be regulation for the lines at the bar. Staff to clearly separate where people are going and way more bartenders.
