  • Game good but security/logistics horrible

by Anonymous on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The all-star event itself was great but the experience was ruined by unorganized security lines and poor logistics. Upon arriving at the stadium we were directed to a security line for screening prior to entering the stadium. After standing in line for 30 minutes, we were told that we couldn't enter in this line and had to walk to the other side of the stadium for a security line. We walked all the way around the stadium and found that this new security line was wrapped a fourth of the way around the stadium and was highly unorganized with no clear explanantion of who was suppose to queue in which line. After spending 40 minutes in this line (in the freezing cold), we finally made it into the stadium. After so many events at this stadium and ample time to plan this event, you would think that the event personnel would be better organized!

  • NBA allstar was great

The event was great. I had baseline tickets so the view was not bad from the decks overlooking the game.

  • Jones Cuban and Stern Forget Frozen Fans

by FrozenFan on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Aside from the Following: THE EVENT WAS OUTSTANDING AND WE WANT TO GO TO ANOTHER ALL STAR GAME!!! Now, for a review of how badly we were treated by the facility, Cowboy Stadium. We Fans set a world record for the NBA. We made Dallas look like a Star. But the Thanks we got was over 60,000 of us were to stand outside Cowboy stadium for over 2 hours in a 24 MPH wind, with 26 degree windchill, before the game. It was announced that the gates would open at 4:30. So we arrived at 3:30 and got in one of many lines. so the first hour outside was on us. Then, at 4:30, the outside gates opened, but when we finally got through the gates, we were still left to stand outside the doors of the arena itself until after 5:30. Thank God the Fans were so well behaved. We were Frozen and Angry, but we reamined calm and upbeat. However, Cowboy Stadium should not have announced that the gates would be open at 4:30 without intending to open the doors to the arena. Then, even though the doors were not supposed to open unitl 5:30, when they realized the weather conditions, Cowboy stadium could have rearranged its plans, and allowed the fans in at 4:30 or 5. Any number of minutes early would have been appreciated greatly. But all that misery aside, The Event Was Amazing!!!! But I am glad I will not have to return to Cowboy Stadium again.

  • The wait in line was terrible

by Jced on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 1 out of 5

We arrived at 6:15 and followed the instructions on our ticket (use Gate B,C and D). As we approached the gate there was a never ending line. When I finally got to the front, I looked at my watch as I was being searched, my watch read 7:28. This was the worst waiting line experience I ever had. Everyone was complaining but no one listened. The ushers wearing Dallas Cowboy Stadium jackets were blaming the NBA provided users. I don't believe it was the slow ushers as much as the lines not being more organized and monitored. I attended the Dallas/Eagles playoff game and had to use the same gate. The wait was long but not like last night. People should be allowed to use any gate with some exceptions (club seating gates). There should be ropped off lines and more ticket takers. I will never attend another function at Dallas Cowboys Stadium aside from a regular season football game. The experience was terrible and I missed all the pregame and intro to the game.

  • NBA All Star Game was the best NBA experience!

by LebronFan on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Other than being in a NBA finals championship game - the All Star game is the place to be for die-hard NBA fans. I love, love, loved it.

  • Excellent halftime

    by soccer10plus on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Aside from the cold, had a great time. My friends and I enjoyed seeing all the people and all the stars. Took tons of pics and saw plenty of stars. Helped set World Record for a basketball game, so that was a plus. Waiting for it to come back.

  • Wish Kobe would have played!

    by Rick824 on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great expieriance. my first time to the cowboys stadium was for a basketball game and i loved it. The seats were high , but the screen wouldnt allow me to miss a thing.

  • Parking and getting in were horrible!

    by mavsfan21 on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 1 out of 5

I will never go to a sports event or concert at Cowboys Stadium again. Getting in and out unless you were a VIP was unorganized and took forever for the thousands of us who arrived only 3 hours before the scheduled time. Everyone is raving about the size of the event and how great it was for Dallas. They didn't interview the throngs trying to squeeze through security to then march up a concrete walkway to our nosebleed seats after paying $50 for parking, supposedly close in, but required driving around the stadium for 45 minutes rather than taking a straight shot road that was closed for unknown reasons. Sound system also sucks for those high up, so will never go to a concert and will instead go to AAC and Nokia.

  • Good game, bad stadium experience

    by C2IT on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Really disappointed by the stadium. The rich people (in club seats and suites) get their own entrances in the middle of the stadium which means the tens of thousands of the rest of us had to wait in line to get in either end of the stadium. I literally waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to get through security (it was cold too, 30 degree temp with a light wind). Once inside the middle of the stadium is blocked off (again for the club seats and suites) which means you literally can not get from one end of the stadium to the other. The food was only slightly better than regular ballpark food and more expensive. The standing room only people make it very crowded and hard to get around. The HD screen was impressive, but most of the fans were too far away to see the game and had to watch the HD screen. That would be fine but they kept showing replays on the HD screen even while play was going on so you missed a lot of the live action. The game itself was fun and entertaining. The All-Stars played like it was an exhibition game and tried to incorporate some showmanship into their plays. Usher, Shakira and Alicia Keys were all very good. I have no idea why they picked Gretchen Wilson to sing the National Anthem. I spent $150 on my ticket plus $30 for parking and (only) $20 on food. That is $200 for me and would have been almost $400 for two people. Frankly, I expect a lot more service for $200. At the VERY LEAST, they could have emailed ticket buyers warning them about the 1.5 hour wait to get through security. There is no way they did not know that would happen.

  • NBA All-Star Game

by AllStarFreak on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time visiting the new Cowboys stadium, and I have to say that I was very impressed. Even though there were over 108,000 people attending the event, most of the vendors were decently accessible and it was not difficult to locate our seats. We sat at the first row of the 400's section and were pleased to find that we could at least see the court and (somewhat) make out the action as it happened. We had initially expected to be watching the jumbo-tron the entire game. My wife loved the mini-concerts and I think the stadium did a great job of presenting the entertainment. The game itself was great and I hope that we don't wait another 24 years to host the event again! That being said, I will say that the vendors selling T-shirts, hats, etc. were WAY underprepaired for that many people. My friend sat in line for well over half an hour and never got close to the front of the line he was in to purchase a shirt. It just appeared that they didn't have enough staff to handle the volume of sales. We were also disappointed to find that the recommended parking location for our seats ended up being on the wrong side of the stadium from where we were told to enter. It was still better than having to walk a half mile just to get to the stadium, but with the temperature near freezing and the wind blowing it was definitely an experience that will make me research the parking a little more closely next time. Finally, although we could see the court - it was a little hard to ignore the huge tv's right in front of us so we obviously found ourselves going back and forth from the live action to the tv. We were a little frustrated with the fact that parts of the game were missed on tv while replays were being shown. It might have been nice to have the tv's go split-screen to show the replays and live action at the same time. Overall, an AWSOME experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

  • ALL-STAR CELEBRATION

by Foxlover on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 4 out of 5

I had the best time at the game!! I got to see Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley, Chris Webber and even Rev. Jesse Jackson!! I will remember this for a long time.

  • NBA Allstar

    by EgyptMavsFan1 on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Great Program, Great Venue, Amazing Show BUT Terrible and Awful Sound System… Upper level seats could not hear much of the event and it seamed to be on delay from the action and at times it was very low and unclear. Cowboys Stadium is a great place to have such events but unless the sound system is fixed and speakers added behind the upper level seats, then it is to hard to justify spending that kind of money on seats, parking, food and merchandise.

  • Texas Knows How TO Party!!!

What a great event!! This was one of the best NBA All-Star Games that I have attended. There was not a bad seat in the house, Cowboys Stadium is amazing! Great food, Friendly Staff.

  • by Anonymous on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 3 out of 5

the stadium is too large for a basketball game. overall, it is not too bad

  • View was horrible

by gfost on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 1 out of 5

The back drop for the stage for the pregame and half time performance was blocking our view, enough said. Seating layout didn't show this online.

  • pretty amazing, but

by dfwplunk on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 5 out of 5

it was a pretty amazing night....slam dunks by basketball greats, celebrities, great music by usher, shakira and alisha keys. (the food wasn't bad either) the only down side was that it was difficult to see because the stadium is HUGE! Thank goodness for the worlds largest jumbotron. It was fun being part of a new Guiness world record for the largest crowd ever at a basketball game. Definitely worth the money (we had floor seats) for a once-in-a-lifetime event.

  • Excellent game, The East really put on a show

by Anbre on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 4 out of 5

This was an awesome game. The East really put on a show for the fans. The West was great but not in a cocky way like the East. It was the best experience to see mostly all of the best players in one event. Thanks NBA. The performers were awesome!

  • by Eatit1987 on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, lots of points!!! Only would have been better if Melo hit the 3 and the West won.

  • ALL STAR GAEM WAS "THE EVENT"

by Dreamteam on 2/15/10Cowboys Stadium - ArlingtonRating: 5 out of 5

What can you say when you are part of the largest crowd to watch an NBA All Star game. It will be an event that will be remembered for a long time.
