Excellent show. Everyone was great but Blue Magic took the show.
Awesome... the music, the performers, it all took you back in time.
it was a pleasent experience i seen a few those bands when i was young in brooklyn seen them in clubs many times they were great then & now
one of the finest shows i've seen in a long time, would glady recommended it
My name is Moetcha and I live in New Jersey and would like to see all of these groups again in my home town (Newark Symphony Hall). They all were great, but the Stylistics were the best.
Thought show was great. Groups made me relive those wonderful 70's. I was transported back into time. Please bring these love groups back soon. Also, thanks for starting the show ON TIME!!!!
a couple of the acts looked like they hadnt performed in years- production quality was fair - too many intermissions and wating of time between acts- took 3 hrs- could have been over in 2
FROM YEAR TO YEAR I AND MY PARTY HAVE BEEN PLEASED BY THE CHOICE OF ARTIST PERFORMING. KEEP THE 70'S ALIVE THE DECADE TRULY MADE THE DIFFERENCE IN LIFE AS WE KNOW IT TODAY.
Overall show was good. I felt that Blue Magic should have been the fourth group. They really held their own. The Dramatics didn't seemed to be able to hold the crowd. I believed part of the problem was that most people only know two of their songs "In the Rain" and "What You See is What You Get". I loved seeing New Birth and hope that they wil be in future shows. I was never a fan of the Manhattans. If they are going to stay on this tour. They need to sing more than three songs! The Stylistics always give a good show. The lead singer is just as good as the singer he replaced.
I love all the group but wish the stylistics sang courty living,
Overall the show was ok. I have attended many concerts and this one left much to be desired. The MC was bland, he had no personality and looked rather uncomfortable on the stage. The seating at this venue was tight. We also had the misfortune of sitting in front of guests who were quite rude, they seemed to have had too much to drink too early in the day (we attended the 3 pm show) they talked throughout the entire show about their family, and their life struggles, and brothers being killed, etc etc. Then had the audacity to cop an attitude when we asked them to please be quiet, we were trying to watch and HEAR the concert. Alcohol should not be sold at these events as people do not know when enough is enough and it affects other guests. I purchased these tickets as a gift for my husband and my parents, I wouldn't visit this venue again.
From the beginning to the end the show was great, the groups were ready to give the audience a good time. Sound was perfect, everywhere it was jamming.Had been looking forward to this event and was surely not dissapointed.
I thought that the show was not long enough for the 5 acts to perform. It felt rushed. I love the Manhattans and they only performed 4 songs, New Birth played only about 4 songs and I did not even recognize "Dream Merchant" since they abbreviated it. Blue Magic and the Stylistics were the best in terms of still sounding authentic. I would have loved to hear "You are everything" in its entirety. The dramatics lost Ron Banks last year who was the true falsetto of the group so they did not sound the same either but they tried. I love this era of music and was happy to hear many songs that I remembered growing up.
great show with some good old time groups. it was nice the each group played some of there hits and not to overload with one group.
It gets better everytime - My LADY and I had a very ROMANTIC AFTERNOON
Blue Magic & The Stylistics were class all the way. They were they only two groups that had it all going for them. Appearance/Suits, Choregraphy, Songs. The other three were some people that used to have it together. Some old men who had big old bellys, couldn't hold their notes any more. The Dramatics were a train wreck. I was really disappointed with them. Next time just have the Stylistics and Blue Magic.
Disappointing. Songs not familiar. Old guys dancing badly.
The entire show was more than I expected. The Moments,(Ray, Goodman, and Brown( Billy Brown looked just like he did in the 70's, good. Missed Al Goodman, and Harry Ray. The Stylistics remain professional, organized and mature as in the days at the Apartment Night Club and the Total Experience in the City of Los Angeles, California.. The show was amazing and will be there next year..
Enjoyed Stylistics and Friends 70's Soul Jam. Box Seats, Comfortable Atmosphere, Great Weather and Good music..
It was a teriffic show. I didn't know the listing of all the groups to appear beside of the Stylistics, but it was a great surprise when the other groups were announced when the show started. The place was packed. It brought back the good old days and memories It was Fantastic.
