Great night of music and wardrobe!! I think the men were just as dressed up as the ladies!! We could have used dome shade though!!
All 4 performance groups were great, even though Cuba Gooding Sr. had to go it alone (where were the 'Main Ingredients?' The Blue Notes sang all their old tunes and were very entertaining , the Dramatics really kicked it and kept us bouncing in our seats . But the stylish, classy Stylistics were the stars of this show! They never fail to disappoint! I hated to see this show end.
Very uneventful. Poor sound. Most people just sat there unimpressed
I love this show, the manhattan stylastic, harold melvin and the blue notes and the dramatics were wonderful. Out of the bunch the dramatic was the weakest link
missed Carl CARLTON. Delfonics were ok. Dramatics were goog but missed Ron banks. Like all groups missed there og s. Dennis EDwards and the Temps review took the show. Stylistics had thier work cut out but did well.
I would come back every year for this concert. I enjoyed every minute of it. All of the band still have it going ON!
Wonderful show!! Very entertaining!!Can't wait to see next years line-up!!
Ny first time at The Greek--would love to go again based on the show--the performers were dedicated to pleasing the audience---I couldn't believe how original the sounds were --I closed my eyes and was transformed back to "the old school"--Thanks for a great show!!!
This was a great concert, great venue! Had the best time!
I had a great time at the concert. The music took me back to the days when I was in high school, music I grew up on. It sounded great then, as it does now.
My husband and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary at the 70's Soul Jam. We had such a GREAT TIME! The Music was great. Crowds weren't to bad, weather was beautiful! We will definitely be looking into buying tickets for some more concert fun at Thunder Valley Casino!!!!
Stylestics, were unforgettable, always one of my favorite groups. Sound just as good today as they did yesterday. Brought back many memories of the 70's, and my youth.Looking forward to seeing the review again in the future. I do recommend event to everyone who loved the soul music of the day.
This was a nice event. I enjoyed all the groups. The Stylistics were my favorite. Wouldn't mind seeing The Main Ingredient, The Spinners, and some of the Female artists added as well. Jimmy "JJ" Walker did an excellent job of emceeing. For the price of Reserved seating, the seats should have been more spacious. The event staff were friendly and helpful.
The entertainment was very good. However, I feel that the emcee J.J. Walker told inappropriate jokes based on the audience. He should tell jokes based upon the reflection of the people that came and paid money to see the show. Lastly, although I enjoyed the Stylists performance I don't think they should be the closing act. You need to close the show with performers that have some upbeat songs. My thoughts.
I didn't like the venue and the groups didn't sound very good.
This was me and my twin sister's first time going to a 70's Soul Jam, and we're glad we did! Since we're both 70's babies (1973 to be exact), we're naturally addicted to anything that has to do with the 70's. When we got there, the lights were already turned off and Jimmie JJ Walker was already on stage as he was the host for this show. This was a great show, and he was a great host, as he still looked the same and had the same energy and humor as he did when he was on Good Times. All the performers (in order of appearance), Carl Carlton, Heatwave, The Delfonics, The Dramatics and The Stylistics were all great and sung all the hits that people love and brought back a lot of memories for. Carl Carlton and Heatwave definitely had the most energy, and The Stylistics were the last to go on and were on stage for the longest. They also shook hands with people at the end, and I got to shake one of their hands. This was a good solid 3.5 hour show that started on time, so I definitely felt that I got my money's worth, especially since we had great seats, front row on the left side of the stage. I also loved the fact that there were people of all ages there from 20's to over 80, and this showed me that great music is ageless. I hope there is another show like this because I will definitely go see it again! It is a MUST for the 70's soul fan!
We enjoyed the show and everyone we spoked with enjoyed the show as well.
Was a very enjoyable event, crowd was awesome. Staff was efficient and so friendly, made you happy to be there from the get go! To be honest the Delphonics not so good.
The show was great once the show started it was act after act. No long breaks that makes all the difference. Nice to see Carl Carleton after so many years, Jimmy Walker was a good host with some funny lines. Keep the venues going Thunder Valley Great Job!!!!!!
the show was coldplay and unforgettable , you can heard every word
