Excellent music, loved every song. Perfect music to just go and sit, relax and listen. Unfortuantely we had some drunks sitting next to us with no reguards to others around them who actually paid for premium seats but had to contend with their arguing due to drinking.
An incredible concert at a beautiful venue! All the groups were excellent and entertaining; the weather was perfect and the event was packed with people ready to party. I enjoyed our close-up seats and the friendly people who sat near us.
I am in my 60's and this is the first time I have seen most of the groups. I hate it now seeing all the talent I have missed all these years. Shame on me! All the songs were great and brought back many memories.
We had a great time at the concert! It lasted 3 hours or so and what a great show! Listening to the old school music is always nice. They had a presentation showing all the singer that have passed this year -- very sad!
I had such a good time at the 70's Slow Jam concert!!! The acts were great! The sound was great!! The performance was woth the tickets!! Can't wait until they are back next year!!! I will be there front row again next year!!! Great show!!!
By far the best concert I have ever been to. Thunder Valley has an awesome set up.
The temptations were not so good as the past temps.
It was the bomb! all the acts were great brought back some memories and Jimmy JJ Walker was funny he really got the crowd going.
Concert featured The Emotions, The Chi-Lites, The Stylistics and Dennis Edwards and the Temptations Review and was MC'd by Jimmy "JJ" Walker. The venue was an outdoor theatre with high school stadium style grandstand seating along with cushioned cheats at ground level and intermediate level. The weather was comfortable and was cooler as the sun went down. The sound was great and there were screens showing the action on either side of the stage. Now the acts: they were all outstanding in there appearances and vocals. I was delighted to see The Stylistics again (my favorite group of all time) and had the opportunity to purchase their newest CD at the venue. The Temptations review (featuring Dennis Edwards) were awesome! I have seen them before and they have definitely improved vocally and in their stage presence. You will definitely appreciate them and delight in the timeless music that they continue to perform. This is pure singing & dancing. They don't need to add all of the flare that lesser performers seem to use to make up for what they lack. That and the seating are the only reasons why I did not give this five stars.
I truly enjoyed the 70's Soul Jam, and all the performers were wonderful. I hope you will bring this Soul Jam back with even more of the 70's performers. Thank You for a enjoyable evening.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!! Wish they had more groups performing like Shalamar, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Spinners....but overall, if they had the same concert again next month, I would be there in a heartbeat.
Probably one of the best shows I have ever seen since I started going to Motown R&B Shows back in 1972. The Venue at Thunder Valley for their Summer Concert Series was Great, The Weather was perfect The Emotions,ChiLites,Stylistics and Dennis Edwards and The Temptations Review were Wonderful, The Stylistics stole the show in my opinion as they performed for 70 minutes where the Temptations only played for about 45 minutes tops, it seemed like Dennis Edwards had somewhere to go as he looked at his watch at least five times during their performance.
The Music was GREAT!!! Made me feel brand new....Enjoyed myself from the very first song till the very last song! I just didn't like the unsteady bleachers..walk way had gap between the boards, heel got caught very unsafe! no leg room, kneed the man in front of me a million times....
Just need more bands like the delfonics or brenton wood etc.........
I took my daughters and we absolutely had a great time and now they are looking a concert for us to go to
I had a great time the weather was nice and warm. The overall show really gave you your money's worth. I was delighted with the performances and the time given. The seating was not quite comfortable I was in section 2 and the seat were really small and I sat next to a smoker and I dont smoke. On the other side there was not room for all drinks being order they were getting spilled I dont drink so this was a little uncomfortable

Well a lot of years have gone by since these groups were big. However I was still disappointed in the quality of voices. Time fades it all. I don't feel I got $50 a ticket's worth of entertainment.
We thoroughly enjoyed the concert and MC, Jimmy JJ Walker. The groups were fabulous and brought back many happy time memories.
The show was like back in the 70's!!!!!!!!! Marshall Thompson of the Chi-lites made us cry. Would see this show again and again. Would love to see this show at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland California.
