I cannot forget such an Awesome night filled with unforgettable life long talent I will cherish a lifetime!!! There's just no good music anywhere. Please, never change who you are and what you believe to be good music!!! I Love you The Stylistics, The Emotions, The Chilites, The Manhattans, Blue Magic and Cuba Gooding Sr.
I had been trying to go to this event for years!!!!! So happy my family and I had a great time simply Fantastic!!!!! The only thing is i was thrilled about the seats we paid $85 AND WE WERE ON THE SECOND BALCONY.
The overall show was terrific! The Stylistics gave me goosebumps, I still have the songs in my head after two days! My husband and I usually sit in the front rows, but this year we were further back. The crowd was very disruptive, getting up every minute. Not sure why they buy tickets to a show if they are going to walk around throughout the whole event. The hiccups with the mikes at first were a little annoying, but the show was great. Hope they come back next year.
This show was out of site, old school is something that can not be replaced.
It was marvelous and spectacular. I enjoyed every minute.
The show was great !! The entertainers were awesome !!!! I'll go see the again I love old school music .
Cuba Gooding Sr. Was a gentleman and had a great sense of humor it was nice to hear him talk about his sons and their accomplishments. All the groups were spectacular the music brought back so many memories. I especially liked the Stylistics they still got it!! One glitch the sound, microphones weren't working that great but the sound people pulled it together. Awesome Show!! When is the next one?!
All the groups were at the top of their game; even with the sometimes iffy acoustics of the Beacon Theater, the singers could be heard; its when they talked inside of the music that you couldn't understand what was being said; but all in all the concert was awesome!!!! Loved it Loved it Loved it!!!
The show would of been more enjoyable if the equipment was in better working conditions. The inability to hear the singers singing was not at all acceptable. People pay good money to hear the show. The microphone that were on the stage sucked. The group were good but it really took away from their performance.
This show was. Increditable, I danced sang and had the time of my life. If u haven't seen it u haven't seen anything. It was like traveling back in time when it was about having fun..
We totally enjoyed the show! Would have loved to dance with the music!
Great music from so many legends. Best of all was Stylistics. Only downside was the length of the show - almost 4 hours on a Friday night. Set-up between bands was minimal which was great.
Forget Ringling, these guys performed a show that you have GOT to talk about for days just to release the energy they gave you!!! They ALL still had great voices. The members danced and sang all their top hits and had everyone dancing and singing along. My husband wore a white suit, looking like the performers, and people were stopping him wondering which group he was with....he smiled all night! I'm in my 40's and grew up on this music, I'd follow this show again...I'd buy the DVD of it...just tell me when and where. I don't know how long we have left with some of the perfomers, so if you haven't seen the Soul Jam live....YA GOTTA GET THERE!!
I night to remember forever. Just can't believe how many songs we heard that brought back so many great memories. What a blast!
I loved it! It was late getting started and there was no great flow to the night as the time between acts was a little stretched out but Cuba Gooding was a great host! Funny, well spoken, full of information he was a joy to listen to. The music acts were great, a blast from the past. Music my husband I grew up with in our early teens. It was a fun night! Only wish they had an area for people who wanted to stand up and dance because most people were just sitting there doing nothing, I myself I like to dance to the music!
This show was just superb!! I hope they can do it again someday. These were some of my all time favorite groups. God bless them all!!!
It was a really nice show. Just sad that most of the original members have passed on and it's not the same! But there replacements did an good job.
Show was amazing. The music brought back good memories of years past when life was good. The vocals of all the artists, pure perfection. They sounded the same as they were back in the 70's. Acoustics were great and did not disappoint. Great seats at Mohegan Sun, will definitely see this show again. Cudos to Cuba Gooding senior as last minute master of ceremonies, he was funny.
Was amazing - so much fun reliving my youth with great music - these groups still got it!!!
It was a birthday treat of my husband. We loved and enjoyed fully the 3-hour concert from the start to the end. We only watched these groups thru PBS channel and it was really unforgettable and great experience for us to watched them on a live performances at their peak - first ever we've seen. We were overwhelmed by the sounds of each group and it brought back so many fond memories of the 70s, our music era.
