The quintessential backstage musical comedy classic, 42nd Street is the song and dance fable of Broadway with an American Dream story and includes some of the greatest songs ever written, such as "We're In The Money," "Lullaby of Broadway," "Shuffle Off To Buffalo," "Dames," "I Only Have Eyes For You" and of course "42nd Street."
Based on a novel by Bradford Ropes and Busby Berkeley's 1933 movie, 42nd Street tells the story of a starry-eyed young dancer named Peggy Sawyer who leaves her Allentown home and comes to New York to audition for the new Broadway musical Pretty Lady. When the leading lady breaks her ankle, Peggy takes over and becomes a star. With a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, music by Harry Warren, and lyrics by Al Dubin, this sparkling new production is directed by co-author Mark Bramble and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the team who staged the 2001 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival.
Loved, loved, loved it. Great musical numbers. The dancing was great. How can you not like tap dancing. Didn't realize some of the songs I had heard growing up were from this musical. I went with my 27 year old daughter and we both enjoyed it. Did the time step all the way to the car. The singers were out of this world too.
The talent in this show is amazing. The dancing is fabulous!

42nd street was such a great musical. A lot of tap dancing and singing.. Very enjoyable, I would definitely go to this again. If I went again I would want to be closer in the balcony or on the floor.

We had the pleasure of seeing 42nd Street at the Sunday matinee and we are so glad we decided to see this show. The dancing was phenomenal and the singing stupendous. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. I highly recommend this show.
The tap dancing was amazing! They were so in sync and it's sound resonated. I also love the costumes. I'm curious how they change so fast. :).

42nd Street was unbelievable! The dancing and singing were breathtaking! The costumes were gorgeous! Everyone in my group from 79 years old to 23 years old, enjoyed every moment of the performance!
Show was very entertaining, fast-paced and energetic! Wonderful costumes, great dancing and singing/music. Not for those who do not care for musicals!
While 42nd Street had a great cast filled with an amazing amount of talent, the show needs to be updated for the times. I found the story line simple and a bit boring. Singing and dancing by all cast members very good. Great costumes. Would like to have seen more of the finale put into the show.
Was not sure how 42nd Street touring would compare to Broadway but it truly was amazing.
The dancers are incredible. They put the Rockettes to shame! Totally enjoyable night. Nice to have such a great theater to host such a great performance.
It was amazing experience - beautiful music, fabulous and colorful dances and songs... All troupe was tap-dancing - it was breathtaking... Just love it!!! Will highly recommend to everybody, who likes musicals.
The cast were an amazing group of tap dancers and actors too! Never a dull moment! Would go see it again, it was that good!
