    Fun time seeing Chevelle/Rise Against

by Matthew on 12/13/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The venue is classic for a concert. There are concessions in the back and sides for drinks. Wasn't too bad getting in and out. First come, first serve. Didn't have to get there that early to get a good view. The sound system is high-end. Cool lights and special effects. WKQX was also nice enough to hand out water bottles in between bands. Seeing a concert live at the Aragon is a unique experience.

    A Fun Evening

by GodOfPearlJam on 12/13/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

All the bands did a great job performing. The bands took the stage when they were seemingly supposed to and each put on a great show! Chevelle and Rise Against are definitely must see bands!

    Terrible sound

by Art L on 12/12/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Lots of vendors is a giant plus. Probably a dozen of spots with drinks and I saw pizza stand and probably there was something else but I didn't pay attention. All three bands were great with, of course, Evanescence being a cherry on top. The interior is quite unusual and interesting. A perfect set for some theatrical performance. But not for an instrumental concert, I guess... And so here is a part about the sound: The sound was soo terrible that I felt bad for the bands that actually did their best but all their efforts were crushed by a completely off sounding system. Highs were so high that they were barely noticeable and performers voices sounded as if only tweeters were on without mid and bass. Guitars were washed out to such an extent, that only guitar solos were somewhat ok to listen to. For some reason all three bands performed that night had overwhelming presence of drums and only drums. Lots of bass lots of volume. The bass/drums were super loud and filled entire place killing efforts of guitarists and singers. Will I come again to Aragon for a concert? NO

Great Bands not so Great Sound

by Ammy on 12/12/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The sound was muddy which was surprising as the Aragon usually has one of the best sounds of all the concert venues The bar offerings are very limited now compared to pre-Covid

    Disappointment

by Scott on 12/12/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

You go to see Evanescence to hear Amy Lee. Her mic was so low she was completely drowned out by the music. We thought by the second or third song it would have been fixed, but it went on for the entire concert! My wife was so excited going there, and completely disappointed on the way home.

    Awesome show

by Chrissy on 12/11/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Kol is always a kick ass show. But I really, really, really enjoyed this concert! They sounded amazing! Although they couldn’t play as many songs as they did when I saw them in Nashville over the summer, it somehow was a better show! Loved it!

    Once in a lifetime...

by Bandito91 on 12/10/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The best venue in Chicago hosted Las Vegas natives "The Killers" for a 16 song setlist that tore the roof off the Aragon Ballroom!

Music was AMAZING - couldn't see the bands

by lubes13 on 12/9/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The lovely folks in the VIP balconies stood the entire time making it impossible for anyone behind them to see the band. Congrats to 101WKQX for exclusively picking ignorant jerks for the VIP section. Lumineers played another exceptional show, they are a band you must see in concert, or in this case, at least hear live.

    Very Disapinted…Exceeded Capacity

by Two of Us on 12/9/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

This was the worst experience for both of us. We traveled to Chicago from St. Louis just for this show and The Killers the next night. We arrived by 6:20pm. Got a great spot up against the sound board barricade so no one would be behind us. By time Michigander came on, we could not move in any direction it was beyond crowded. It only got worse. My 20 minutes into The Lumineers so bad My girlfriend got claustrophobic and panic attack…we had to leave. Was nightmare just trying to leave the floor and get beyond the ballroom…and even there to the stairs was a mosh pit. Guarantee it was way beyond capacity for any safety…fire, fighting, trampled… Clearly you wanted as much ticket and beverage revenue as possible and it came at the expense of customer enjoyment and safety. We will never come to an event at The Aragon ballroom and this should be addressed at the highest levels needed to ensure this never happens again. Was a “living hell”.

    Great music

by Ed on 12/9/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The music line up and venue was good. Tho the long line at the bars did dent the experience. Not sure if its because of the cashless setup.

    Lumineers were great... but

by DK on 12/9/21Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Lumineers were great! Too much time alloted to starter bands. WAAYYY to hot in the venue , they need to add more AC or circulation or vents outside or something .
