About

"‘Chicago' still GLITTERS HYPNOTICALLY." - Ben Brantley, The New York Times

There's never been a better time to experience CHICAGO, Broadway's razzle-dazzle smash. This triumphant hit musical is the recipient of six Tony Awards®, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy® and thousands of standing ovations. A sensational tale of sin, corruption and all that jazz, it's no surprise that CHICAGO has wowed audiences from Mexico City to Moscow, from Sao Paulo to South Africa. And now it's coming to your town!

If you're looking for your first Broadway musical CHICAGO has everything you could want: knockout dancing, an edge-of-your-seat story and one showstopper after another. If you loved the Academy Award®-winning film, nothing beats the live show, and if you are already intimately acquainted with the musical, experience that sizzle again, CHICAGO always delivers.

    Amazing experience

by Sunny Days on 3/13/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I would never be the one that picks apart an actor’s performance and anyone who does ought to get up on that stage and see what it’s like to be on stage. The experience was amazing. There is nothing better than live stage performance. Cast had great chemistry. J. Terrell’s falsetto was superb. The Cell Block Six solos of Zuckerman, Andrews, Greco, Teyke and Benak really stood out and weren’t buried in the music or choreography which speaks to the talent of each actor who was a part of that number. The assemble felt like a pivotal part of each number and not just like they were supporting the main characters. The cast as a whole perfectly captured the cultural values underground jazz club vibe of the 1920’s that Chicago centers on and themes that continue today - fame-seeking and promiscuity. The interaction with the audience was well balanced and timed perfectly. Andy Chen flawlessly executed orchestral conducting along with character interactions and his performance felt fluid and natural when the characters interacted with him. Honorable mention also goes to Connor Sullivan as Billy Flynn in his excellent performance of Razzle Dazzle. Venue wise - there is something about The Pantages that sprinkles a little bit of its magic on every performance it hosts.

    Superb dancing

by Jc on 3/13/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

If you want to see great performance through song and dance with a mature theme then this play is for you. The dance choreo and songs were great, with added comedy. Don’t bring your kids, the theme is for mature audience only. Overall, it was a great musical production.

    Worth seeing

by Great show on 3/13/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Fun from beggining to end, no lull. I’ve only seen the movie once so I was suprised I knew most of the songs and the ones I didn’t were still great. Funny, catchy, vibrant

    Didn’t live up to expectations

by eissak on 3/12/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I was so excited for Chicago the musical, especially since it’s a favorite movie of mine. At the bare minimum I expected there to be a stage, props, or really….anything other than the orchestra. I was left very disappointed from that aspect of the show since they didn’t really set any scenes. The signing was okay and dancing was GREAT. The show honestly didn’t do much for me though. I wouldn’t see it again nor recommend.

    Good performance

by ukmel on 3/12/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

The music and vocals were very good, stage show was lacking the 'pizazz' that one expects from Chicago the Musical. No costume changes, very one dimensional.

    Chicago

by Nurse J on 3/11/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I heard the three songs that I recognized and loved. I plan on seeing the movie/video now to see how they compare. We definitely liked our seats. The sound was good. Costumes were great. Looking forward to returning to see another show soon.

    Poor set design

by traveler on 3/11/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I've been to the Pantages three times, but it might be my last; the sets are very minimal, especially for the cost. The audio for Chicago was not great, Roxie's voice got drowned out by the orchestra. Some other things were cute, like the use of humor. Overall I'd give it 3 stars.

    Loved the Show!!

by JCS on 3/11/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I have to say the Broadway play 'Chicago' was great! It really surprised me how they kept the theme of the play going without adding other stuff that the movie did in the past… The dancing was great. The songs were on point & I loved how they varied it up…Our seats in the theater were perfect. My other friends loved them. They were so convenient to the restroom, to the lobby, & to the atrium... The best part of the seats is that we didn't have to climb over people, so that was perfect....Overall, the night was fun and fantastic!! 🥳🎵🎶🎭

    Just ok

by Lobna on 3/9/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Could’ve had more soul to it. It was really fun and they have the musical range to carry the show really well. I just felt like they didn’t embody the characters fully and were kind of “performing” instead of “being” the characters. I’m in no way an expert though and overall we had a good time.
